I'm on the most recent NotSoStock ROM, but want to flash back to stock to trade device in so I'm doing the LGUP KDZ restore method.. However, my phone says I'm on VS99515A in the About section of my device, yet LGUP recognizes my device as VS99511A, so which vs995 kdz should I flash? I don't even see an 11A in the LG KDZ files page, so should I be ok flashing the 15A KDZ file..??
Thanks!
It doesn't matter what the current firmware is on your phone, when you flash a KDZ it gets replaced. You can flash whatever version you want since you are probably on 15A with an 11A bootloader. Either way, you are definitely fine flashing 15A, and that will get your phone back to stock so you can sell it.

Selling my phone to move to another carrier. I'm on Mehdi's ROM, which is 24A baseband 4.4.2.
I'm trying to go back to the 24A stock (completely) install, but I can't find a .zip that's pure stock.
Trying to flash the 24A .kdz fails at 49% for some reason. Didn't brick the phone. Tried to use a 11A .tot file to revert to that and just OTA but it wouldn't install because my current version (24A) is higher up than the install (11A)
Any help? I don't really care what I end up on as long as it's stock and can do OTA upgrades.
Fixed by messing with the flasher settings.
Had to change to CDMA mode and CS_EMERGENCY.

Folks,
I gave my rooted (mahdi rom) ATT G2 to my teenage son seeing I was no longer using it. He said he tried to update the Mahdi ROM and now it is bricked. From my questioning him all I know is when he was installing the mahdi update, but he did not flash the D800 patch. Noticing there was a problem I think he tried to re-flash recovery or something. All he would get is "fastboot mode".
I think I am a pretty smart guy and have been on XDA for years flashing and what not with no issues - but this one has me stumped. These are the steps I have taken:
1) Finally got it into download mode and when I try to flash the tot file for ATT, it says incorrect model. Says the model is the D801 (t-mobile)! I was like what?
2) So I tried to flash the D801 tot and it seemed to work, but the flash would ultimately "Fail" in the LG Flash Tool. It would boot up into the t-mobile rom but I would get errors and reboots - very unstable. AND the IMEI was wiped!
Does anyone have any ideas what I can try next? I would like to somehow change the model back to the D800 and flash the ATT tot file. Maybe it is truly just bricked!?!?
Any help would appreciated! Thanks!

if you can successfully root device with towelroot(best choice since it is not device specific) then your best bet is to copy d800 build.prop(or to play it safe edit the build.prop model number from LG-D801 to LG-D800) into system/ give it rw-r--r-- pemissions and reboot into download mode, it should say you have d800 and you should be able to flash back to d800 tot(might want to be using d800 dll that ignores model check too just in case)

If you want stay full stock you need to flash your original JB KDZ with Flasher Tool 2014. make a factory resert and update to KK by OTA.
If you want root, custom recovery don't need to flash nothing, just follow this threats.

I decided to check on CloudyG2 LP which requires 20 bootloader which went find. I decided to flash back to stock LP which requires 30b bootloader. After flashing back to stock (30b bootloader and stock zip file) I am stuck at T-Mobile boot screen. It seems like 30b bootloader isn't flashing but I didn't get any errors in TWRP when flashing it. Any suggestions?
Download Mode says 'secure boot error'
I can get into TWRP
I can flash the CloudyG2 rom again and it boots.
I have tried download mode and the LGFlashTool with the kdz as well as the flash tool with the TOT and they both fail.
Did you flash just bootloader or the whole bootstack zip? I would flash the whole stack just in case. We're you on stock lp before cloudy lp and did you make a backup? If you have one, restore it, it should have all the partitions working properly.
I want the kdz or tot file which ever i can use to refurbish the phone
Thank you
