Hello All,
I have a bit of a weird problem here, my phone vibrates randomly (short vibration like when phone is unlocked by fingerprint reader) on certain events and im not sure what are they.
Is there any way i can monitor which app or process is triggering vibration motor?
Does it happen when you use your phone or when it's in your pocket etc.?
Maybe you're accidentally triggering the fingerprint reader. Happens on me too.

I have my screen set to lock whenver the screen is turned off. This is nice it most instances, but I'd like to keep the phone from locking everytime I take a call.
Sometimes I need to pull up information during a call and I don't want to unlock the phone everytime.
Is there a way to prevent the screen if it's triggered by the proximity sensor?

Anybody got solutions for this? Its pretty annoying that it locks during a phone call.

Do you use DeviceLock application?
I've got the same issue with Tp2 with DeviceLock application... it seems this application required an option "do not lock while phone call"...
Have owned several Iolite's but the one I now use daily has the strongest vibration of them all.....seems like the phone is falling apart sometimes and is rather annoying when your phone is on the table.....
Does anyone have a tip or tweak how to reduce?
Concerning this, I've also been wondering whether the vibrate after each letter is pressed functionality won't cause damage to the system due to overusage or something?

Well this you can stop via settings menu so it does not bother me.....
Anyway have put vibration off untill I find a solution.
I am not sure if anyone else is facing this issue but my vibration on tap or keyboard is working terribly. So it will randomly stop vibrating when tapping any NAV button and or using my keyboard. This is on every ROM I have tried. I also tried wiping everything but still facing this issue. Any help?
Right thread lol

Omg wild right?!
The odd thing is that it seems like a loose contact issue., since if I tap/slap the phone hard enough it starts working again immediately.
Also, vibration only stops temporarily for small ones like navbar, keyboard, and power button.
Phone call and camera open via power button cause longer vibrations which work fine and reset the problem.
Very odd. Very annoying.
My fingerprint scanner in almost 50% of casses not responding when pulling the phone out of my pocket, or when on table after some ideal time.
I read that there was a similar complains in older versions of 1+, but it seems that this issue returned back, or at least for me.
Anybody facing the same issue? Any solutions for this?
P.S.
Home button works perfectly, I'm on OOS 4.5.5, rooted.
Turn off pocket mode in advanced settings.
I prefer to leave it on to prevent pocket dials though.

Yea, I confirm that it worked, however this causing a different issue : everytime I am picking out the phone from my pocket, it shows "too many tries...", and I am forced to enter pin code everytime

That's because that's what Pocket Mode does, prevents you from using the phone while it's in your pocket, so your leg pressing the sensor doesn't use up all your tries. Disabling it would, if you didn't use all your tries, allow you to unlock it while pulling it out of your pocket. Leaving it on, if you are consistently using all your tries, would probably be faster
Hello,
My phone keeps turning on when I pull it out of my pocket. I tried turning ambient display off and it still does it. Any help is appreciated.

You must also have a pin or password, fingerprint cannot be set alone..
Turn off double tap to wake, turn off any gestures which may wake the phone from movement, it's possible that the phone is sensing your skin through your pocket.
It'll be one or the other. My money is on double tap to wake.

Obviously it can't be set-up alone bro... Also, I doubt it is because my phone is touching my skin. It doesn't turn on randomly when it is in a tight pocket. I also don't have any gestures that turn only the lockscreen on. I keep double tap to wake off. I only have double tap to lock using an app called button remapper.

Lol trying to help.. your phone will only turn on via a a gesture or via your skin.
Either way one of them is the cause.

You're not helping much, to be honest. I already said that it isn't because it is touching my skin. If that was the case, it wouldn't be turning on in my jacket pocket when unzipped. I already mentioned that none of those are the cause.

What can I say, you've got a one of a kind phone which magically does things on its own.
Perhaps you can call the A-Team or the Ghost busters.
Good luck with your phone.
