new leaks available! The V8 seems to have only a 5.2 screen now.
BTW: I have had no trouble with my H7. until now! Not with undlocking bootblock and not with flashing or using it. So the next generation of H7 is welcome.

Cause nobody should be dislead into buying a fancy phone with faulty Software.. sure honor Phones bring awesome Hardware specs, but the bad implementation of emui Roms (notifications issues,..) and the closed source for Kirin socs take the Smart out of Smartphone for me..
Im also done with honor from my side..
The software is perfect and emui 5.0 is coming so..

Payoff would be very low
Just doesn't make "business" sense, to release Oreo, on older units, right before you release your brand new model.
Would be "nice", but I just can't see them doing it from a business perspective. Realistically, I don't see it coming to the
older units OFFICIALLY until around the Christmas holiday time frame, if that soon.
If "older" flagship does not receive android update, that would not generate much trust from consumers in company to buy new phone.
At the very least let us get EMUI 5.1 on our Mate 9.

That's your opinion, mate, but I truly disagree.
Many customers pay attention to new software features that improve the overall user experience (see Android's doze improvements) and that are not related to hardware.
So, IMHO Huawei's hurry to release Mate 9's Oreo beta BEFORE Mate 10's release seems to be all about customers confidence-making

Yeah kinda sounds silly when I read it now, what I meant was, it's not all about software updates, ffs, the mate 9 is the best phone I've had until this day, why whine about not having O or P or whatnot. Of course I love new updates with new functions, used to be an update freak, not anymore I guess.

This Prue Oreo thing has been discussed all over XDA, just wait for an official announcement from Honor's social media.

That settles it then, since I heard those rumors also. It's probably something to do with Nintendo buying Huawei and renaming their Honor series Pacman.
