Is there a way to get google stock rom..coz i hate miui...or is there a way to completely remove miui...i hate it

I take it you've not read some of the topics post in Honor 8.
Still l myself like many others are waiting on HH Huawei Honor to sort out the codes and files so people can develop their rooms..
So in short no not for now without hiccups and a headache my friend..

No worries but you can always install Nova Launcher at least before you sell the device just to try it out.

Waiting for a good stock like custom rom

Why do people not research a phone before buying it? I mean come on, this phone doesn't even run MIUI.

Miui is from Xiaomi and EMUI is from Huawei. Almost the same name but complete different layer.
Can remove apps with System App Remover and install Nova launcher.

As of now, not yet. We just wait. And MIUI is Xiaomi's.

Guys, check xda on youtube (twrp tutorial for honor 8) in the first minute, TK mentioned that he downloaded a cutom ROM to test ,and he said that Isn't available on XDA

the models mentioned are the 32gb version for US (L04) and EU (L09)
for the 64gb variants (L14 & L19) nothing confirmed yet

Nope, he mentions it IS available on xda, and even points towards it. It is the NCSROM which is also visible in the video.

For those who want to Root

Hey guys...i have the same device (Pra-la1).
If you want to root just follow the same instructions that are on Huawei p8 lite 2017 section.
And the recovery for p8 lite 2017 (pra-lx1) is the same with honor 8 lite (pra-la1) and I've been using it since day one that I bought that phone.
And i think both phones are the same except the model name...
I tried to flash the ROM from pra-lx1 and actually they are both the same.

Better to try all roms which are working on the device, fast forward the tgreads in thi fourm

@hamzio7, If you successfully rooted your device, make a Complete guide post on that in GUIDE SECTION, It helps for Healthy development in this forums.

Every attempt at rooting has led me to be stuck in eRecovery
I have no problem flashing and using TWRP, but i when i flash SuperSu (i tried all verisons for p8 lite 2017) and it always gets me stuck at eRecovery :/

Yes, the latest version of TWRP is running just fine, but whenever i try to flash SuperSu (Using TWRP) i get stuck at eRecovery, flashing unSU.zip doesn't fix the problem, the only way to fix it is to remove supersu file from /data

At the right moment, there is no such ROM, maybe we have one day! Like 2020:laugh: but don't give up! Use some of RR, Lineage 13/14 ROM! They works fine!

Twrp can't access internal storage

So i flashed twrp on my Honor 8 Lite with fastboot (I did unlock bootloader). When i boot into twrp, internal storage is just random letters and numbers, but external SD card is fine. I don't know if this is related, but whenever i try to flash anything out of twrp, it doesn't work. (For example if i try to flash a new magisk version in the app it doesn't work, but if i download the zip and flash it in twrp it works just fine.). Also Viper Android FX drivers say they installed but when i reboot my phone, they are gone.
P.S, Just installed twrp manager from play store to check my twrp version, but it doesn't detect a custom recovery. (Also i checked my root access just to be sure, and it was fine.)
Anyone have any idea what's going on?

Emui-Version: 5.0
Android Version: 7.0

Original twrp version is for honor 8 (frd).
I don't know if formating data will help if i just have the wrong version. Right?

I don't know as I'm not one who makes custom ROMs. My guess is that it's proven very difficult to do so. Within the entire Zenfone line I don't know how popular the 3 Zoom was/is so resources may be limited.
