I tried looking by myself but got mixed up. Are there any Roms that have OxygenOS Camera fully working and are not on OxygenOS?

ok
ok
Palm Rom, PureFusion, and so on. Take a bite!
(ps i recommend Palm Rom, since it comes with both optimized Camera's OOS and Google Camera)
Edit: don't try RR unofficial because the OOS cam in that ROM is outdated.

I just rooted my MXPE and am about to try out CM13. Obviously as is with most phones, camera deteriorates when not on stock ROM. How is the camera on cm13? Will I lose 4K video recording? Is there a port for the stock camera for non stock roms?

You can download the stock camera app in the play store. In my opinion running du the camera quality seems the same. You'll be able to record 4k video.

Dirty unicorns. Running the last weekly. I've tried a couple of others and in my opinion it's the best. Great g+community as well.

AICP or Resurrection Remix are both solid roms, nothing wrong with DU either.

How do they differ from the latest CM nightly? I honestly haven't even found a bug yet, its just as fluid as stock. DU was laggy and the pure nexus ROM broke my mobile data.

RR and AICP are both more feature rich, just a little different take on things.
RR is my go to ROM on any device if it is available.
When will official Lineage OS and Resurrection Remix come to moto g5 plus?
same question here. Lineage? and there where more versions of G4 G2 but only some are supported in Lineage ... what is the chance with g5 plus?

There are certain thing which are not working/partial working for our g5 plus which is not allowing to have official status of LOS. Like CM, LOS follows the same policies that device have all the things working and can be used as daily driver so we will get official one. Its just matter of time and bugs getting fixed. Regarding RR i think you should ask to the dev who provides us its build.

When the ROM get no one bug. So you need to be patient .
Here is a stable version of Resurrection Remix ROM
http://cloud.vache-android.com/Moto/potter/ROMs/ResurrectionRemix/RR-N-v5.8.3-20170530-potter.zip
And here a stable version of Lineage
http://cloud.vache-android.com/Moto...S/lineage-14.1-20170530-UNOFFICIAL-potter.zip
Both have the focus issue so you can use cameringo or footej camera to solve the little problem.

Oh so volte working perfectly
Hey so I have seen working xposed for 7.1 on OP3 from some chinense guy,do you think it can also be ported to OP5 ?
Original thread for OP3 working xposed for 7.1.1 stock rom
Original chinense thread on their "xda" (if anyone is interested)
ROMSudaMod3.1
It requires integration into the ROM by the maintainer. But devs generally boycott Xposed.
https://www.xda-developers.com/flas...om/flashable-xposed-framework-android-nougat/
Apparently been tested on OP5.

Do you see any app crash or somethig else, do you recommend to wait for stable?
Not working in xXx 1.8. Boot loop.
can you still bypass safetynet when using this?
By best I mean, lesser bugs. No scrolling stutter, good battery back up and etc.
I have tried Oreo ROMs before the official Oxygen Oreo comes out, now that it has been out for about a month (?). I think Oreo custom ROM has also improved. I just want your input guys. Thanks!
Also, don't include OxygenOS-based ROMs. So either AOSP or LineageOS-based.
BlackScreenOS
I've tried liquid remix, aicp, omnirom, aosip and the last come resurrection remix... Well i found that the last one is the better.. Long battery life, no lag, the rom is smooth and have all kind of personalizations
BUT i can't understand why i'm in completely mood with Oos 5.0.2 it's simply perfect imo... And i've been always the first to install a custom rom on my device
Now that substratum is working i think oos has nothing to envy at the other roms, rather it has face unlock oos cam etc... and it's for sure the smoothest rom on this phone
I haven't found one yet that fits your description. Tried DU, Screwed, Aquarios, Phoenix, Omni, Liquid Remix, AOKP and CrDroid. All have bugs, are less than smooth or both.
Best is subjective, but if you go with Codename Phoenix you won't regret!

There are a lot of touch latency problems with last week's build and CNP became significantly less smooth as well. A lot of CNP enthusists starting experimenting with other ROMs as a result, myself included.

+1 Exactly
I will try the latest RR Official out yesterday, but for me the best OOS is xXx and the best Custom AOSP is Phoenix

I don't have your problems, maybe you have some apps/tweak cause this issues or simply Xposed / Module
The problem with DU is that the maintainer for this device decided to stop releasing RC builds after number two because *he has enough feedback" while other phones are getting updated DU builds. Unless you compile the source code yourself you are stuck with an outdated version of DU that is missing many of the ROMs features. I was a big fan of DU before buying an OP5 but on this phone it has never been anything but a substandard ROM. The Nougat version was buggy garbage and based on the attitude with the RC builds Oreo for the OP5 probably won't be any better.
I've only tried RR roms, lots of problems (maybe it's my fault, bad flash or idk) so I'm back to stock. I don't know why but since Oreo I can't go on custom rom, feels like they're more laggy.
cam on non OOS based roms are not very good imo. in oos (or xXx in my case) cam is perfect

How can I explain you brother? I am not the dev. But I am a user of this rom and all I can assure you is that it's fully working (Portrait mode, pro mode etc...). How, I don't know. But all I know is this: There is a great dev behind this great rom which is Codename Phoenix. His name is @siankatabg! He is one of the best devs I have ever known.

I think the other user was asking how you did it, how you installed OOS Camera on the ROM, does it come with OOS camera already? I'm in doubt too, and I'm using Omni ( with OOS camera from magisk mod) and I'm thinking of changing to CnP to check if it is really that good, I know you used both, what do you think?

When it comes to camera, Phoenix is the go! As I says OOS Cam is fully working. It's not pre-installed. Just download the latest apk from apk mirror and install it. There's a delay when starting up the camera, you will just need to wait a little bit, then everything works perfect. Even clearer picture than on OOS itself.

Hello I am new here and I want to ask is it worth to root and install custom 64bit 8.1 rom(and void my warranty) to use Google Camera and etc. or I should wait for OTA 8.1 update from Moto(Lenovo) ?
Better wait for official rom... probably this month they will release.

Yes it worth it.
1. Performance is better than stock with more features and latest security patches.Battery life is great too.
2. I didn't face any issue in any custom ROM.i am using custom roms for 2 months and gone back to stock 1 time and realise custom roms are way better than stock ROM in every way.
3. Google camera take way better photos than stock camera.
4.custom roms are 64 bits and we have treble support too. Try pure aosp treble ROM it's awesome.
5.moto action works fine on custom roms with added extra fingerprint gestures and screen off gestures.
5. Join telegram group for better support almost all the devs are in the group and they are friendly too.

Hi, I tried a Lot of custom roms on my xt1685. But
all of them are fighting with camera problems and loosing volte. The Advantage of 64Bit Rom I really didnt feel and See.
The only Advantage in my opinión is the Higher Security Level because of faster Updates.
So if you ask me, wait for the 8.1 Upgrade.
In meantime I am Back on Stock with locked bootloader.
Enjoying the good Stock camera every day...

I tried every Oreo ROM performance is same in all roms but I like nitrogen os best.I am using nitrogen os mod with arnova's Google cam latest version released today. Performance and battery life both are awesome in nos. See attached photo 30% remaining with 5h sot. You can even increase it further you ace or any other kernel but it depends from device to device. camera takes supereb portrait shots from both front and back camera.
And for volte I was facing initially facing issue in all Oreo based roms the problem was if you reboot your device after initial startup volte was gone but than accidently I figured out that if I turned on airplane mode before reboot volte works just fine. After that I tried every Oreo based roms for Moto g5 plus volte works in every ROM every times( in pe ROM I have to change some setting to make volte work)
Plus added benefits of root like unlimited high quality backup on google photos. Google lens on assistant and camera , sound mods like viper Dolby. Xposed beta 3 also works fine on Oreo.
Every Oreo ROM is super stable even without official Oreo not out yet. Development is supereb on Moto g5 plus. Head out to telegram group if you any further doubts most of the devs are there.
