The script said it validated and patched the system partition but failed on the firmware.
The phone boots okay and About reports 2.41.605.23, but booting to download mode
displays 2.41.605.20. I do have the firmware zip file for .23. My boot partition has a
modified boot (SuperSU & Magisk), recovery has TWRP.
2.41.605.23_NoBoot_NoRecovery_NoWipe_firmware.zip
I figured if I flash this firmware zip I should have a completely
updated system. Please advise if this is correct?
Thanks

I have a zte zmax, it's rooted I'm trying to write to the SD card but it says this error update failed platform.xml could not be updated. Is there a fix for this
You can't write to any /system folder unless you flash the switcher zip that flashes recovery to the boot partition and the bootloader to the recovery partition.
EDIT:
It seems since there is no Huawei P8-Subforum, my thread seems to has been postet to misc. Development. Im sorry about that!
Hello there,
I spend the last three hours trying to get the device (L09) to work again. I made the terrible mistake to update my phone with custom recovery (TWRP) installed. My target is to upgrade from B191 to Marshmallow.
The main probleme here is that I don't own a micro-SD card plus the internal storage contains a dload-folder which I can't delete.
My current situation:
- The phone is bootlooping at bootanimation
- I can access the fastboot-mode, stock-recovery and upadte-mode
- My internal storage (intenal SD-Card) contains a folder named "dload" with the B200 firmware
- I flashed the stock B200 recovery.img and boot.img (extracted with Huawei Extractor)
- When going to update mode the phone proceeds to 5% and then shows "Software install failed!"
I don't really know how to proceed from here on. I tried to flash TWRP again to clear the dload-folder and place another firmware, but somehow twrp can't be installed anymore - flashing shows "OKAY" but when booting into recovery, the same old Huawei recovery is booting. Also I'm confused as to when to leave the USB plugged in or disconnect it.
My current plan is to revert to 170 firmware to start completely over. I downloaded the 170, 200 and 313 firmware.
How to proceed?
EDIT:
I flashed recovery.img, boot.img and system.img from B170 and now the boot repeats at the Huawei logo. After flashing boot.img and recovery from B200 I get to the bootlogo again, which is stuck.
Solution:
After flashing boot.img from B191 the B170 firmware booted successfully. I got a few random reboots at the start, but they quickly grew less and now I have a somewhat stable B170.
Upgrading to B191 or B200 didn't work, tho. I'm trying to get behind that now.
I am using Spice Dream UNO(Android One).
Bootloader: Unlocked
ROM: Marshmallow Stock ROM
Rooted: Yes
Recovery: TWRP
My phone suddenly started giving continuous Force closes so I restarted it and got stuck in a bootloop. Trying to Wipe any partitions failed with Error 1 and I was unable to copy or write to any partition from TWRP file manager. Nandroid backup and restore failed too.
So, I tried to flash Stock Lollipop ROM using SP Flash Tools and it flashed successfully but now all partitions show 0 MB size except Boot, IMEI and Recovery partitions.
Flashing ROM or restoring backup using TWRP still fails. Changing partition format, wiping, formatting fails too. Manual flashing using fastboot shows success but partition sizes still stay at 0MB. I have tried everything but I am not able to restore the partitions back to normal.
I haven't used the format feature of SP flash tools.
Now starting TWRP or fastboot turns the phone off and I am not able to access them.
Is EMMC of this phone corrupted or not? Can it be fixed?
Okay, Let me explain exactly what I did here... I first flashed Twrp using SP flash tool which worked without too much problem. Then I attempted to install the latest super su zip which told me the boot.img was already patched and it could not find a ramdisk... So I moved on and flashed the latest Magisk zip which flashed no problem. Rebooted the device and it came up with a red boot state telling me it would boot in 5 sec. It did not boot at all. Turned off the tablet and rebooted into twrp again. I then flashed the OTA update system.img, boot.img, and re-flashed twrp from twrp itself instead of the SP flash tool. It booted into twrp no problem, however now it said it could not mount the system partition. I did a full data wipe, factory reset, rebooted into twrp again. Same issue. So I attempted to re-flash the firmware with SP flash tool. Did not notice i had it set to format and download and not only download. It said formatting for maybe 2 sec and gave me an error. Now the device will not turn on at all... no screen whatsoever, no recovery, etc... I have had no luck getting the asus flash tool to even recognize a com port however SP flash tool seems to be able to flash the device no problem. I extracted the .raw firmware file I have for the latest firmware, modified the scatter file to allow flashing all partitions, and I did a full firmware flash of the device using SP flash tool. However it still does not turn on... it does nothing... So I'm assuming that I accidentally formatted over the bootloader... And I cannot find a bootloader flash file for this device anywhere... So I'm stuck with an Asus ZenBrick... Does anyone know a way to fix this issue? When I plug the device into my computer and open device manager it switches between the preloader and mtk serial port very quickly not staying on either one very long. I'm assuming this is why I cant get the asus flash tool to work and SP flash tool works off just the initial preloader. I just bought this tablet from someone and managed to hard brick it in less than a days time... Any help at all with a way to revive this device will be greatly appreciated. Thank You in advance to anyone who tries to help me fix my mess up.
Tablet [SM-P610](Android 11) was successfully unlocked & rooted.
However TWRP flash (using odin) failed!
I get the following error after flashing 'twrp-3.6.1_9-0-gts6lwifi.img.tar'
and tablet halts on boot!
"Error Verifying vbmeta image : invalid vbmeta header (6)"
Any suggestions as to how to fix this and flash TWRP successfully?
Any specific [SM-P610] vbmeta / TWRP Recovery .img.tar download links ?
Thanks!
Do NOT use TWRP, the current version is unfinished and won't ever be finished anytime soon. Use Lineage Recovery instead.
There is twrp for Android 12 ,, will be in comments iofntwrp.post
