Hi guys,
I own a Europe op2 and I'm going to the states on Friday for one year. So I saw this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/general/how-to-add-rf-lte-frequency-bands-to-t2886059 and tried to do it with my oneplus 2. So I tied EVERYTHING today but I just can't change my USB Settings. On cm13 it switches back to charging if I choose RNDIS and this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/guide-unlock-aditional-bands-qualcomm-t2877031 for the op1 tells me to use adb when on charging mode which is impossible for me. I would be really thankful if you could help me. Currently I'm back on OOS but I have nothing against changing my Rom.
So I just found out how to access diag mode with *#801# but QTPS and the device manager still don't detect my device
I wanna enable the diagnostic mode and try to see if i can add more LTE bands through QPST. I tried the generic command through adb shell and its not working Any suggestions are welcome.
Go to Emergency Mode
Type- *#3424#
This will enable diag mode.
Try thr Hardware test Mode
There is a way to enable the harware test mode on Asus zenfome Max pro M!.

IT should have an option to test the LTE band

Thanks but this did nothing for me. The phone has no SIM and the phone says emergency calls only. In the dialer though this code had no effect. the dialer just displayed it and sat there.
What am I missing? Thanks

Thanks for this. I looked at all the tests - which are cool. But I did not find any way to enter diag mode so I can try to use Qualcomm tools to unlock some more LTE bands. Am I missing something? Thanks
Iirc, a powered down (switched off) phone can be connected to PC with volume + and volume - buttons pressed simultaneously when connecting via USB to PC. Then PC device manager shows android device connected in diag mode (needs latest qualcomm drivers 2b installed in PC). I am not so sure whether windows need to be in test mode for this or not.

Thanks for this. I tried using both vol+ and vol- with power button. I get a completely black screen. But I do see some 9008 drivers get loaded in Device Manager. When I open QPST a com port is automatically found and it says that the device is in download mode. I cannot really do anything at this point. I want to start service programming so I can edit the NV using QXDM so I can add an LTE band. But this attempt fails due to download mode. I don't know if this is akin to the download mode I have seen in my Samsung phones when I use ODIN to flash firmware. The only way I have found out of the black screen is to press vol+ and power which eventually takes me to fastboot mode on the device and from here I can press/hold power to reboot to the Android system.
I am not sure I have the latest drivers. Now that I have the device rooted, I was able to issue "setprop sys.usb.config diag, adb" and actually see my Windows 10 computer show a diagnostics 9091 com12 port and a modem 9091 on com11. The driver info shown for this in Device Manager is 2.1.1.2 dated 3/19/2014. With this I can actually use QPST to read something from the device. But when I try to use QXDM to read item 06828 (LTE bands) I get "NV Status Error Received: Item Inactive". No idea what that means or what is wrong. Working on my old Samsung Note3 was pretty simple compared to this.
with root
enable diag port :
adb devices
adb shell
su
setprop sys.usb.config rndis,diag,adb

Guys, Any idea how to make these commands work on Android 11 ?
Both the codes do not trigger anything and does not show any new devices in device manager.
i am on LineageOS 16 and want to enable Carrier Aggregation and when i enter the cmd in termux "setprop sys.usb.config diag, adb" nothing happens and i'm using windows 10 for it. MiA1 showing in device manager with yellow mark and when i manually install driver qpst manager detect com port but it shows No Phone on that port. what i cam do? or is it possible only on Stock Rom or is there different method to enable "HS-USB diagnostic" mode in LOS16.
and sorry for bad english pls. reply
Your custom rom doesn't have diag so that is reason why command doesn't work.
Here is supported Carrier Aggregation combos of A3: https://cacombos.com/device?model=M1906F9SH
Hello friends.
I have spent 2 days reading the forums and finally decided to post after not being able to get my XT1687 to switch into DIAG mod so that I can use QPST.
The device is boot loader unlocked, flashed with TWRP, running Arrow OS Pie.
No trick such as using setprop sys.usb.DM or Diag, or anything seems to work. Also, no dialer codes seems to work.
All I can manage to do with Shell is reset the USB connection.
No combination of Vol + UP or 3 finger "saluting"... while in bootloader on BP Tools, QCOM, Tools Mode (Switch to Enable) seems to work. I have tried with every setting of USB Configuration combined with debugging on, or debugging off. Nothing will prompt my Windows 10 machine to call for several of the version of the Qualcomm driver's that I have installed - and the only remotely close to a COM Port is when I set it to USB Tether and sets up as a network adapter but I have not been able to manually update that or any other driver so that it establishes a COM port.
Like, am I just stupid and this doesn't have Qualcomm hardware in it or something?
Very much appreciate any guidance.
Trying to enable 5g with QPST but as soon as I put my phone into engineering mode with *#801# I cannot install drivers it will not install anything I have tried three computers now with no change I've tried a bunch of diag drivers and I have the oneplus drivers installed and everything works as should aside from diag mode ???
Mod can delete I run 2 sim cards anyways always so
