Would an unlocked tmobile g2 have support for att's hsdpa/lte network? I want to use one with my att st sim. Or would I be better off getting an att g2?
not lte but hspa+
So there is no flashing an att modem to get the lte to work huh?
I know there's no major difference, but would I be able to receive 4G (HSPA+) internet on the AT&T G2 with a T-Mobile SIM card? I believe the bands are identical between the AT&T and T-Mobile version of the G2. Thanks for the help.

Hi,
I'm on AT&T and planning on buying an S7 Edge. I'm trying to look for a unit with a good price and don't care if it's a different variant but I'd like to know what I'd be missing by not getting the AT&T one (G935A):
1. If flashing the AT&T firmware on the T-Mobile variant (G935T) or any other (Verizon, Rogers, etc), will it work just like the AT&T one and will it activate all the LTE bands? or AT&T will still not recognize it as an AT&T one? any other AT&T feature that might be missing?
2.- Does the VoLTE and WIFI calling on AT&T works in any other S7 variant? I think I read is possible but root is needed.
Thanks!
I can verify that using the Verizon S7 and S7e works with AT&T firmware. All AT&T LTE bands including VoLTE and WiFi calling work. No root required.
I have tmobile S7e that I flashed the AT&T firmware on. It's running great and works great.
I have an opportunity to buy an Unlocked Sprint LG G6 for a great price. The only issue I am on the ATT network. Would it work flawlessly on the ATT network if it's unlocked?
The Sprint model LS993 supports the same AT&T bands that the AT&T model H871 does. Neither model supports LTE B17 or B130.
So it should work.
You might never be able to get VoLTE or HD Voice working, since AT&T does it in a nonstandard way, but if that doesn't bother you, go for it.
