Hello,
My situation is very specific, but I try to explain as well as possible. My phone is a LG Magna H500f. I decided to try a H502f Custom ROM, because the hardware seemed to be the same. Wasn't a good idea. Closely as bad as the idea to flash the stock ROM of the H502f.
Now I got a soft bricked smartphone. I can boot only into the download mode, but the Smart Phone Flash Tool (SMFT) and some LG device flashers don't work either. There is one little exception. When the phone is turned off and I plug it into an USB port, it is in the download mode for about one second. This is enough for the SMFT to link in and flash. The main problem is, that there is just the stock ROM in the kdz format. That means you need a LG device flasher to flash it. But they don't work, even not in one second of download mode (I really tried it ). So what I need is the stock ROM in image format (boot.img, recovery.img, ...)
I crawled the entire internet with my private botnet, but I didn't found anything in three days.
I hope somebody can help, so I don't have to endure the consequences of my stupidy.
Greetings, Julian

Hello everyone,
So I basically made a noob mistake. I had a custom recovery installed on my d802 and I opted to update the software via the LG apps. Now I am stuck at the LG logo on start-up. Normally this wouldn't bother me so much, but the problem is when I try to flash the original firmware with the flash tool. I have looked everywhere and haven't found a proper answer (forgive me if I missed a thread).
The problem is that I get an error saying your phone is disconnected when I'm pretty sure its not, and the phone screen displays "fastboot: processing commands". I have tried a different usb cable, a different pc with different version of windows. But unlucky so far.
Apart from this though, I was wondering if I could flash the Italy lollipop KDZ? I am in Germany and since I have the same model number (D802) I might as well give it a try. What are your thoughts?
Any help from you guys is highly appreciated.

Hi!
Yes, I'm pretty sure you can flash the Italy .kdz, 'cause it's correspond, basically, to the open version. I think there is some bloatwares, but they can be remove by root. you can even flash the spanish .kdz, but there is vodafone's bloatwares inside.
But if you're stuck in fastboot, I don't know if you can access to download mode. Can you describe actual state or your phone? Do you have access to recovery? Download Mode? Can you boot?

Whenever I try to move into download mode it automatically takes me to fastboot. I cant access recovery or hard reset. But yes the lg logo does come up and thats all, it evens goes as far as the second time the logo comes up and the leds come on. But thats about it. It shows download mode for a little while and then automatically goes into fastboot.
Thats all I have right now.
Well this is not pretty. I just realised my phone isn't getting into download mode. I was under the impression that getting into fastboot when connecting phone to pc is the normal case for everyone. But im supposed to get into download mode rather than fastboot, eh?
Now i'm really out of clues. Appreciate your help devs!
Hi All you very clever people.
This is my first post, have been watching from the shadows for a long time on xda, but have finally met my match and have to ask for help!
I had the (I believe) HK version of lollipop 5.0.1 KDZ that was 'leaked' a while back (possibly the first LP one out?), liked it for the most part but wanted to go back to KK. Tried to flash via KDZ again the KK KDZ. Unknowingly I tried using a USB3.0 socket and it didn't work. I then unplugged the cable from the computer and plugged it into a USB2.0, still didn't work a few times.
Foolishly I thought, 'I know, I'll reset the phone and try again!'. This then stopped me form getting into download mode!!!
I can still get to recovery fine but resetting just gets me back to a black screen. I am getting the 9006 error of bulk usb mode or something. I have tried SRKtools and still cant get to download mode? Is my best bet finding the corresponding .img files for that rom and flashing them in ubuntu?
On that note, does anyone have a link for that KDZ image by any chance. Can't find mine on my computer anymore (again foolishly probably thought, 'won't need that any more, phone is working!').
Also wondering if this has erased the rom on there of if it is just related to boot? It won't boot into the rom at all just black screen after LG logo?
Any help will be greatly appreciated! :good: :good:
Cheers
Oz

KitKats are 20x, I think. But you should know that as you already tried to flash one.
Sorry I'm new so I can't post plain links.
Give us some info about your phone please
Hi guys.
Recently I managed to brick and then succesfully unbrick my LG g2 d802 using SRK tool. After that the phone wasn't recognized by PC anymore. Nevertheless, I bricked it once more by mistake and I managed to unbrick it using SRK tool. What was weird was that using the tool I could write the .img files to the corresponding partitions, but after I unbrick the phone, install ANY ROM whatsoever, the phone isn't recognized by PC anymore.
In device manager I can see LGE Modem and LGE Port, but no Phone Drive in My Computer. Can't flash the stock anymore because of that, and I'd really want to go back to stock...
Another issue I'm facing is with the lockscreen on any ROMs based on Stock, every time I restart the phone the lockscreen resets to NONE.
With any custom ROM installed the Virtual Navigation Keys are not shown until I edit the build.prop
Not to mention the LEDs are either not working or staying on any time I unlock the screen,
Anyone with the same problems here?

Thank you for your reply.
It was impossible for me to go back to stock with TOT method, but yesterday I fixed the phone after 6 months.
For a weird reason the download mode was broken, LG Flash TOOL was always giving an error. After I flashed SRK's Stock flashable ROM the download mode started to work again (might be a coincidence).
I managed to install the latest KDZ available for d802 (with CSE Flash, from LG Flash TOOL) and finally got the phone fully working, stock version, all functionality is back.
Thank you again for your reply.
Hello.
First, sorry for my bad english..
I got the F800L model and I rooted the device following the guide of Dirty Santa.
One day I read in forum that someone was able to flash H918 rom to the F800L device.
So I tried to do same.. but with the mistake of not backing up my original rom.
When I tried to flash the H918 rom through TWRP, it installed well, but when it booted, it just remained hanged in LG logo.
I just left it over a day waiting if it pass the LG logo. But it didn't.
Then I searched for the fix and read the guide about restoring the bricked device through LGUP and kdz file.
So I entered in download mode and connected to PC.
Executed LGUP software and my device appeared in H91810i model instead of F800L. I downloaded the F800L kdz file and tried to restore with LGUP but it appeared error saying kdz invalid.
So I managed to download the H918 10i kdz file and tried again to restore.. and WOW! it completed the process.
But.. Now my device is in worse condition. It doesn't even turn on.
Tried to enter again in download mode but nothing happens.. neither enters in fastboot mode...
Pulled out the battery and reinserted, and tried to turn on but nothing happens..
Can anybody help me please???
I think you destroyed your phone
You should get it to repair service
lol, u just facing the same problem with me, i did exactly the same what u do, was looking around for solution, but nothing really helpful out there, the only way i found is the method with sd card, u get the debrick img file, burn it to a 32gb sd card with the right tool, put sd card to your phone and hope it will get to downloadmode or fastboot or whatever idknow cause i'm don't have the debrick.img file for F800L, looking for it right now, people say u can get that file from the phone (has same model) that still working, that all i know for now, if u found anyway to fix your phone please told me :highfive:
It has been repeated over and over and over "DO NOT FLASH ANYTHING THAT IS NOT MEANT FOR YOUR DEVICE" and also "FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK". Both of them together makes it pretty clear that you shouldn't have flashed something that was meant only for the h918 into an f800l variant. Developers dont write this down as fancy words or for fun. They do it in order to let everybody know that if flashed, it could easily alter your system in such a way that it might never be fixed except by the company itself. By flashing something that wasnt meant for your device, you are trying to override the system with an image. And if the developer never made the source compatible with yours, then software and hardware will be contradicting each other. The motherboards of the phones comes for its specific variants and only developers can alter an image of a system to make it somewhat compatible with the variant.
Now, lets hope you get an answer to how to fix it because LG wont be fixing it for you since you voided your warranty by a) the simple fact of unlocking the bootloader (which is pretty easy to identify since it shows the warning sign when you turn the phone on), and b) you rooted the device. And LG wont work with neither of those. Unless.... and this is a maybe because i dont know if they would agree too (if you pay the sum they request to fix it, which i assure you it will be more that $100+ maybe even significantly more). Then they fix it for you.
I personally made a backup in a separated MIcro SD card i have outside the phone. So that if i have problems with my system, then i just insert that micro sd card and restore the backup.
Good luck!
If the phones screen is blank when you try to turn it on you bricked. Only fix is a replacement. There is NO debrick.img
oh my god, if u stop at the step KDZ tool found your device that H918, I can help you. Just boot to fastboot mode and fastboot the file name bootbackup.img and KDZ tool will found your device is F800L then KDZ normally. Sorry for my bad English.

Hello guys,
So I bricked my D802 , how? first it was bricked because of a wrong version of TWRP, untill here no problem, i tried many tutorials on how to go back to stock rom, then i found that it was a Qualcom thing problem, so I found that tutorial about replacing the .img files etc... , pretty easy, i could enter the recovery menu, but it had no rom, i downloaded the stock rom kdz file , started flashing it, then, for some dumb reason the flashing stopped, I ... plug out the usb cable... I didn't notice untill I saw that the program froze, and now the phone is stuck at the LG logo, impossible to do anything, pc doesn't recognize it, can't go to recovery menu, can someone help me please? or at least tell me if I should just throw that phone or keep it if it has a chance of living a bit longer

I had a very similar problem with it getting stuck at the logo after pushing supersu to the phone. I followed Supersport every single step of the way in his video. I think his links are the only valid ones online now, so just download them and reflash your phone. If your G2 is anything like mine, drivers will never appear to be installed correctly and it never restarts, only shuts down.
His method is:
1) Download and install LG drivers on PC
2) Download and install the flash tool and patch it
3) Download and load the .tot and .dll files into the flash tool
4) Enter download mode on G2 by holding volume up while connecting USB
5) Switch G2 Com port to 41 in device manager
6) Once Flash tool shows that all ports are ready, power down G2 and disconnect
7) Hold volume up and reconnect to get back into download mode
8) LG Flash tool starts flashing
9) Complete
Note: If your G2 was screwed up as bad as mine, it'll say failed but all the main system files will load to the device before it restarts and it'll even shut itself off while doing it's installation on first reboot. Mine somehow was still revived from this state with his method.
