My S7 edge won't connect to 4g on 1 carrier but on other it will. Why is that, before it worked but not anymore. I have correct CSC and change to LTE mode. But still no connecting.

do you have an*APN?
you need to add an Access Piont Name (APN) in order to get access to the cellular internet connection.
to add an APN you have to do this:
go to the*Settings > connections > mobile networks > Access Piont Names
if there's an APN already there, then the problem is not about APN. but if you see no APNs installed, hit the add button and make an APN manually. the name and the APN field must not be empty. type something in them and let all of the other fields untouched

Can anyone please help me change the APN on my Sprint Tab?
I read that I need to go to Mobile Networks in settings but it is not there. The mobile network button says "set options for roaming, networks, APNs" but when I open it there is nothing relating to APN.

I own a unlocked AT&T Samsung focus rev 1.3 running on official mango release[force update] in India with Idea as the service provider, been around a month only with the phone.
Recently I tried to use internet through the service provider's internet pack, paid for it, got SMS your internet pack has been activated and to sms SET to receive settings.
On doing so in sometime I got a message asking settings are available and to accept or decline them. When I select accept, I get a message from system notification saying "Couldn't change phone settings."
Please tell me what to do
In Settings>Cellular It shows the name of Service Provider, Data connection which is on 'ON' Data roaming options which is on 'Don't roam', Network selection which is on 'Automatic' and a 'Add Apn button'.
Just add the APN for Idea Cellular that is "internet" in the edit APN section and change data roaming option to "roam" in Cellular settings. Data connection should be "on."
I changed it to roam, and selected Add Apn..
Now in it there are several fields APN, User name, Pass, Proxy Server/URL, Proxy port.
Are you telling to just put 'internet' in the APN field and save?
And do i have to ask for settings again after this?

I thought I'd just share one little piece of knowledge I just found.
I have subscribed to a second SIM card, tight to my main one.
(The name of this option with my carrier is SFR Multisurf).
With this "data-only" SIM card, one needs to use a specific APN (named websfr).
Unfortunately, this APN is set by default to have the "dun" type only, at least on my SGS2/4.1.2.
With a "dun" type APN, one can't use the Android device as a real Internet/Data endpoint. Dun stands for "Dial-Up Networking" and is made to use your device as a modem only.
Changing the APN type to "default" (or even "default,supl,dun") is enough for the APN to become a working access point to the Internet.
To do so, you have to go into your Phone/Tablet settings, then Select More, then Select Mobile Networks, then Select Access Point Names.
Find the access point you need to use, scroll down to its type, make sure it is set to "default" and voilà !

Hey there to all.
Since I had Windows 8 on my Ativ Smart PC, I have been able to change APN connection of my device in order to use a different connection than that provided by the system.
Simply,after clicking on newtork icon in status bar, i was right clicking on network name, selecting connection properties and then changing the APN name.
Now that I updated to windows 8.1, the ability to access to network properties is missing by right clicking the network name and I have to access "PC settings/Network" to reach my network.
No problem, up to now, but the issue comes out when i try to change the apn name.
first of all I cannot change the name of the apn given by the provider.
(this should not be a real problem, considering that there is the possibility to create a custom setting)
secondly, even if I set to use the custom settings, if I get out of network setting screen and then I re-enter it, the APN selected is back to the unwanted one.
Is there a way to edit "drastically" APN set by provider? Maybe a regedit workaround?

trying to use my unlocked ls993 in Verizon. voice and text work, but no data. the apn setting is missing all together, so can not add apn.
when putting in a tmobile sim, the apn appears and I can add t apn and data works.
any suggestions to make the v apn appears?

I can help, go to your dialer and from there type *#546368#*993#
Then navigate to field test then navigate and there should be the second option. Go to pdp and then apn then you can add it from there.

So just found out the code that worked in my LS993 is:

With that I added xfinity mobile apn. Once saved I had data, but was connected with 3G only, with DL speed of 0.8MPS. I was not happy, thought reboot the phone might make it better. Rebooted, then I lost data connection altogether; call and text still work, no apn in control but with the hidden menu access I see my apn is still there.
So I am stuck again. Any suggestions? Is there anyway I can force the g6 to load "carrier settings" of some sort?

i have the same problem and checking on other post a guy says that you have to enter on hidden menu and apn settings and there are two options edit and view. chose edit and erase all apn including otasn after that have to appear in the normal mobile network menu the three dots to add the apn of your cellphone company. but you need the msl code or service code.
any suggestions of how to get the msl code and try this ?
