It was my understanding that the wifi calling option was baked into Nougat. However, after updating my moto x pure I couldn't find the option to enable wifi calling. Anyone have any info on this?
Would love to hear myself.

There is no way to enable it, lenovo disabled this feature.
I hope they don't disable it the moto x4. That would be a deal breaker for me.

I know others have said it works but I can't find the option to enable it. It's not under more in network settings. I wonder if my sim is bad since I can't see it on my nexus 5x either. Anyone else have this issue?
Who said the MXPE works on VoWifi? AFAIK, neither device (MXPE & Nexus 6) has this feature enabled yet...
After reading posts about Wifi calling for the MXPE on VZ being a feature that was omitted from the current 6.0 release I am wondering if anyone has heard of any recent updates on the status of this feature? VZ appears to be (very slowly) enabling this feature on select devices, but with the unlocked MXPE not coming FROM VZ, I am wondering if we will ever see it? I found a work-around with the Skype4Biz client (making SIP calls over Wifi), but I don't want that client running on my phone 24/7...
Any updated info would be greatly appreciated.
I am in the US with a Moto X Pure XT1575 (Unlocked) phone. I am on Straight Talk with an AT&T SIM. When trying to enable wi-fi tethering, I get prompted to "go to att.com/mywireless or dial 611". My previous phone, a OnePlus One tethered for me out of the box without any issues or prompting. Why would my old phone work but not the Moto X Pure? I assumed that being "unlocked" would not have any carrier restrictions. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what that means.
What is the simplest way to get wi-fi tethering working? I would like to keep the phone as close to stock as possible. I don't need it frequently, but when I do, it's important for my job. I don't necessarily need to use the built-in Android tethering. I am fine with rooting and using a free/paid app. I just need something that works reliably.

Thanks! I'll give it a whirl and report back. Anyone had luck with this method with AT&T?
Anyone using G4 with T-Mobile? If so, what is your experience?
works good only thing lacking is wifi calling but no issues with sms pictures or data disconnecting.

No wi-fi calling feature is a deal breaker for me - Motorola/Lenova definitely losing lots of potential sales. If the feature is built into MM then why not have an easy way to turn it on?
I'm on T-Mobile and like the others have said, only snag is no wifi calling. For me its no problem as I use the 100mins unlimited data (5GB on 4gLte plan) and if I'm running low on mins just use hangouts to make calls free in usa.
So far I have had zero problems with service and all sms/texts are working fine too.
the settings hook to enable it exists on the G4 if you search for it under activity launcher, but it's probable that the kernel and/or modem code won't allow it, as the toggle just turns itself back off. i wonder how hard it would be to port the necessary functionality from another moto phone to the G4. anyone have any ideas?
Hi, i'm new here. Have to say this place looks awesome.
Anybody know how to disable Wifi on my phone? I can root it and am also hoping i can disable Wifi for one of the users OR disable it completely for the entire phone; all users.
