Nope.your link is linegae.but the link i provided is dirty unicorn..maybe its the same contributor..
DU is based on Lineage. Almost all custom ROMs are. Also if it hasn't been posted here by the developer yet, then it probably isn't quite ready to be used.

Lol, DU not based on CM/LineageOS, it is AOSP/CAF based
I tried this build(lineage15.0_lithium-ota-c746f0a7e7.zip) but doesnt boot too.

It's the same guy. Both are Oreo builds of current Mi Mix ROMs. Neither gets past the boot screen. If they worked (or at least booted) they'd be in the ROMs section right now being tested by us users. Being able to build a ROM can be done by pretty much anyone if they have enough HDD space, RAM and patience. Figuring out *why* it doesn't work is completely different.

Yep. I honestly never understood why you upload something like that to AFH or whatever. True, if they do not post it in the proper development section on XDA or any other android development site bla bla bla but, nonetheless, you build something, it does not boot... Why do you upload it ANYWHERE?

When you upload that means its working, if its not then why upload.As to his reasons that we dont know.Hopinh that the next uploaded file will boot.

Simple. He perhaps no longer has the device and tryna keep providing builds(to some testers perhaps) since one of you are complaining about 'Mix developer support abandonement'. So be a lovely tester and give some feedbacks or don't judge him by downloading his non-shared stuffs. And I should have posted this in complete bold text @albertoduqe if you know what im saying lol.

Now even the exynos version of s5 has a stable aosp 6.0,cm 13 ,a beta rr 6.0,and alpha lineage os 14.1
I hav jus lost hope ,jus wish could hav been a bit rich so I could throw this phone out anyway a new one

Respected Developers there is a phone known as motorolla G4 play which has the same chipset snapdragon 410 and they have ported and successfully booted android O.

OK after a boring weekend I decided to try my hand at porting miui 10 since its based on 8.0.went out found a device with the same processor etc..read guides created the zip unfortunately it didn't boot. I don't no much about kernel edit yet still learning, I'm unable to pull log because my cable is broken.
Reason now for this thread is to ask for assistant with the kernel whatever else anyone can do...

Ah, ok. Really looking forward to it. I find MIUI to be really fluid. And because it's based on stock, all the usual V20 features will work. Thanks for giving this a go!

Nah they all got stuck at the muii screen, and haven't had the chance to to deal with them but I was gonna message you to see if we can work help each other tho.
Using the mi 5 as a port can share a build with you and you check it out..

Maybe it's better to port from a ported rom than using one of Xiaomi's.

I'm gonna TRY to port miui, But I only have the H910, so idk about the others, I'll try my best to port it over, then try getting it to the other models.

A user said it did boot after he flashed his bootloader , can you do that and also send me the bootloader so we can host it for others...
I just did it a few minutes ago, unfortunately it didn't work

You need 320h bootloader , I will ask the guy that tested how he made it work , it's in another thread where they look for a rom for j320H , maybe you can find it on xda

I managed to install the device's ROM with its own boot, but it's not nice at all, the device's own ROM is better than that, its Android is also the same as 5.1...

It's kinda old phone ..but i must say that the official rom can still be a last resource , de-bloated and some little modifications and niceness , be a great help as pocket pc radio portable tv navi and much more ..and it's official , i,m happy it's at least 5.11 so we can still use great apps in 2022 aurora store beside playstore and service will give user allot of freedom , and the services will make every app work ..it's better then nothing
