Wifi is exported as .ko module (as MIUI requires) and aosp/cm requires as internal object driver.
Um just noticed on 7.9.21 kernel auditor can't save changes on boot so "on boot" is empty meaning you have to make all changes manually after each boot. Also I noticed my phone won't go down to deep sleep. MI 5s Plus.
Correction, my phone goes down to deep sleep but for like 15seconds from a full charged battery down to 61% will get back to you once I leave the phone to settle. I know I haven't used the phone as much as the stats state.

Give the autostart permission to kernel adiutor for applying changes at boot. Deep sleep it's perfectly working on my mi note 2. Check your battery stats with wakelock detector and see which apps are draining your battery. Also disable the gentle fair sleeper from Kernel adiutor
Just found that le pro 3 has same 821 and I found this thread with awesome profiles.

Wow update so quickly to android 6.0.1! Nice rom!
Enviado desde mi MI 3W mediante Tapatalk
Installed it some while back.
As in usual CM kernels, also in this. Despite setting max CPU frequency, the CPU goes above it.
Also I was facing some little slutters (I did set animations at 1x)
Zeurian X 2.0 final test build works
Embedded battery percentage under System Tuner doesn't work.
Access Points give FC.
I applied a layers theme, can see the installed layers under uninstall of Layers Manager, but it didn't get applied dunno why.
And as far my past Lollipop experience goes with applying Layers theme, layers manager never worked properly for me but using an other or older (not sure) manager worked. Haven't tried in this one.
Xposed, Now On Tap, etc stuff except Camera did work fine.
PS it has inbuilt root
Hope to see working camera! work witch other camera apps?
It's fast real fast. Seems slow at charging maybe that'll improve in a couple cycles. Where is this inbuilt root at? Programs are saying it doesn't have root and I can't find any options to turn it on

Well I already had SuperSU ZIP installed and I saw Root option under Developer Settings (not sure if the ZIP affected it, but it shouldn't be the case).
Well the max frequency remains stick (not like in Ivan etc ROM that the max frequency used to get reset automatically). But almost all CM kernel don't follow the max frequency. The CPU runs at higher ones despite setting it (I can see the cores live frequency, didn't care to see the CPU state)
Omni is best 6.0 ROM without camera available (haven't tried some 3rd party apps) IMO

Yeah I watched the live cores and they didn't cross the max frequency but like I said once I rebooted it went back to full. WiFi seems to not turn off and burn a lot of battery if you don't manually toggle it when leaving WiFi area I noticed so choosing to have it on only when plugged in or turning it to never on during sleep doesn't work unless it was because my slacker was playing but screen was off so maybe that's what kept it on. On lollipop it usually burned about 2% to 3% while I was at work and marshmallow burns about 15% in the same amount of time. This might just be due to better reporting statistics however as my android os is at 1% compared to lollipop which was usually around 18% to 20% by now. Overall I got about 2% better battery life today during my 5 hour shift than usual so no huge improvement as far as battery life at work I'll just have to see what standby gives me this weekend as I haven't gotten to see the standby at all yet which is where I feel lollipop really dropped the ball compared to KitKat.

I will not be held responsible for anything that happens to your device after flashing this kernel. If you don't know how to bring your dead device back to life please don't make any modifications and stay with stock MIUI. Also, if you think that overclocking can harm your device, overheat-it and possibly brick-it, send me a message and I'll be happy in informing you that My kernel's are SAFE.
My name is Luan, I live in a small city near the capital of my state in Brazil, I'm really young to be developing kernel for this phone, maybe even the most young recognized developer in xda :victory: . I'm only 15 years old and I love to compile kernels and reach the limits of the smartphone i'm using (in this case redmi 4x). I can also speak both English and Portuguese Brazillian, which is my "default language :laugh: ".

can u add cpu over and under clock and dt2w
Damn that's great. Once Gcam is fixed, I'll switch to Oreo + This kernel.
Will you make one for MIUI ?
I got the fpc fingerprint reader and it has a fingerprint delay problem when using custom kernel
I will be very appreciate if it can be fixed

I don't think it is actually an overclock. Battery drainage is about the same under a stress test. I'm getting worse scores according to Passmark PerformanceTest. I was already sceptical of this. That's a 200%+ overclock, which is just about impossible on any CPU.

Exactly! He is just fooling users by just changing the values instead of actually doing something LMAO. And for god sake this much overclock is not possible for a device like Riva or even many of the other flagships.

Confirmed. THE CPU OVERCLOCK IS FAKECPU is slower than 1651MHz. If I set the CPU to a max of 1401MHz in Kernel Auditor, the performance is like 960MHz. The number is clearly scaled up. I don't know how much.
I don't understand. What is stopping the developer from giving us an OPTION for 3.8GHz, but set the default to something every device can achieve, like 1.61GHz. Then, the individual user can tweak their max clock to what their device is capable, because every CPU is different. I'm going to look at the battery life, and if that offers no substantial improvement over Catalyst, then I'm going to switch back.
Interestingly, the memory seems to be slightly faster.
In terms of desktop CPUs, people are extremely lucky to get an overclock of 50%. From 1.4GHz to 3.8GHz is absolutely impossible.
---------- Post added at 08:15 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:13 AM ----------
And what is this adding cores thing? Adding virtual cores? You cannot add more CPU cores by software. And I don't think the SD 425 supports SMT or hyperthreading anyway.
---------- Post added at 08:20 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:15 AM ----------
One last thing, the display is not overclocked. Still 60Hz.

ABOUT:
This is my personal kernel project, which I looked to be a stable kernel for daily usage, with useful features only, and to have a half term under performance and battery life for Xiaomi msm8996 devices. Inspired by projects like Flash Kernel and ElementalX Kernel
"While I am not a super star kernel developer, I do know my way around it." (Chancellor, Nathan - 2017)
PROJECT GOALS:
Keep kernel up-to-date with lastest stable Linux Kernel version (3.18.123)
Offer the user the best balance between battery life and performance
Just useful features. Features may be included only as needed (Read FAQ section to know the features that I won't add in anyway)
FEATURES:
Here are the major features of the kernel (More details on the Github repo)
Up-to-date with the latest stable Linux Kernel version (3.18.133)
Mainline Linux patches for CFQ
Several subsystems converted to use power efficient workqueues
Hides bootloader unlock from SafetyNet (can still fail through other means)
Available to flash with AnyKernel2 (thanks to @osm0sis)
Users facing features:
KCAL color control
USB Fastcharge
Adreno Idler
Boeffla Wakelock Blocker
INSTALLATION:
Boot to recovery
Flash kernel zip
Reboot
Yay! You've installed the kernel :victory:

F.A.Q:
Q: Are you Planning to support MIUI?
1. A: No.
Q: Could you include feature x,y and z in your kernel please?
2. A: If you link me the commits or tell me what kernel you had the feature in, I can take a look at them. I won't promise that I will merge every request but I will always take it into consideration. I will NOT add:
Overclock or underclock of the CPU and GPU (Except for the cases that the device has a underclock on both or in just one, then it'll be considered)
Undervolt
Any other governors except the "kernel stock" ones
Any feature that just one or two people is going to use
Q: I'm having an issue, can you help me?
3. A: I'm not an amazing kernel developer but I will certainly try my best. First, start by reading the release posts, as I may make note of a particular issue. Also search the thread to see if I have discussed it before. If you see nothing, please provide me with a dmesg/last_kmsg and logcat, your ROM/kernel version, and a detailed description of the issue. If I can't reproduce reliably, I'm not going to fix the issue. (Extracted from Nathan Chancellor's Flash Kernel Thread)
Q: The kernel is f*cking up my battery! Plz...
4. A: Stop right there. The Kernel doesn't drain any battery, use an app like BetterBatteryStats to figure out what app is screwing with your phone. If verified the clocks are always online and on the max clock, then it'll checked out what's happen. Anyway logs are necessary.
THANKS TO:
@nathanchance
@flar2
@franciscofranco
@LuK1337 and Mi5Devs
@xNombre
Any other developer that I might forgot
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
ABOUT KERNEL USAGE IN OTHER ROMS THAT ARE NOT MINE:
You are free to use the kernel if you want. The only thing that I'll request to do it's to keep the kernel name. If you have modified something, just add a "-Mod" in the final of the kernel name or anything that states that the kernel has been modified, not by me, but by ROM maintainer.

AEX already has this, just like pixel experience.
You can flash it on any Oreo based rom, but for those two in particular it will be just an update to the latest version.
pixel experiance rom has got problem with mobile network what is get drained it, so this kernel solve the problem isnt it?
what kind of governers can I use this kernel? and I have already used the other kernel, can I just be installed?
thanks for a new kernel

The most noticeble on is the underclock on big clusters, from 2.35GHz on HMP one to 2.15GHz on EAS one that I've made. Also EAS implementation gives a better graphic performance, but also consumpts more battery due Schedutil governor always wants to keep on higher frequencies. That's why I've underclocked the big clusters.

Flashed EAS
Can confirm that it was terrible for gaming... Experienced some constant lagging
Flashed HMP version and it was much better
what kind of the cpu governers can we use?
EAS is really bad on lineage 16, my battery life has been halved if not worse. Typically after one night the charge would drop to somewhere between 80% and 87% with Sleep running, with the EAS it is typically in the low 60s.
I will try to flash HMP and see if that resolves it.
If anyone got the cores always running on the max freqs on EAS Kernel, set governor to ondemand and then set again to schedutil. That's a workaround for now
