According to a forum post somewhere, the Verizon Note 3 when upgraded to Android 5.0 has a loss of signal quality over Android 4.4. I have never used this device with 4.4 but I have noticed that my wife's S4 Mini will have LTE when my note 3 will have 3g and sometimes less than that. I've read somewhere that downgrading the modem to the 4.4 modem firmware can help, but I have not been able to find the 4.4 firmware. Anybody have any input on this whether or not it could work and where I can find the firmware and how to flash it if I find it?
Phone: Verizon Note 3
ROM: Official Lineage OS 7.1.2
Baseband: OF1
Recovery: TWRP
Bootloader: Unlocked/Developer

I had the same problem after updating to KK from 4.3 on my N9005.
Keep in mind, I had another version NOTE 3 from yours.
I got ext4 error in Odin.
Flashed everything on KK, stock roms, custom roms, modems , but no avail.
Then I tried flashing 4.3 modem on 4.4 stock rom BTU. And baseband came to life.
I suggest you to just try it after flashing any other stock rom If your phone is not Network locked.
Here are some 4.3 modems to download for Note 3 models. Flash it Twice without checking Autoreboot.

@gtuck1002 As mentioned by "xinfinityoO", Android 4.4.4 is not yet out for Galaxy note 3 global version like N9005 and N900.
but its available for N900P, Here is the Url for 4.4.4 firmware.
SAMSUNG OFFICIAL FIRMWARE LINK FOR SM-N900P
And you are not able to update because You have installed Custom recovery "twrp" so your knox counter might have been triggered to 0x1, and device status changed to "Custom". That's the reason your cellphone won't get updated.
So if you want to update to 4.4.4 then jus download the firmware and install through ODIN. But you will lose your root if you update to 4.4.4.
Thanks.

Need a little help here as I am not sure if this will work. I have the Bell Mobiliy variant of the Galaxy S4 and my phone is currently on baseband: i337MVLUGOC4 and the build number is : LRX22C.I33OCUGOC3
I currently have the latest version of TWRP installed. I recently did an OTA update which was giving me considerable amounts of trouble so I decided to flash a rom from here.
I found the following;
I flashed a stock I337_OC3 rom from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-att/development/rom-100-stock-i337oc3-5-0-mdl-t3098197
I'd like to go backwards and flash a Canadian stock S4 firmware using Odin, titled the following:
Bell Galaxy S4 SGH-I337M VLUAMDJ (Android 4.2.2)
Can anyone tell me if this is safe to do?
Thanks for all your help
I'm still running 5.0 and am considering to upgrade to the latest official firmware 900TUVUFQD2 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop (UVUFQD2).
For those of you who did the upgrade, what was your experience? What's the major differences between 5.0 and 5.1.1, and should I do the upgrade? Thanks!
Also, is there any 100% stable Android 7.0 (Nougat) custom rom out there for Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N900T), and if so, which one would you recommend (as of 12/14/2017)? Thanks!

Hi Guys,
What's the best path to upgrading this old phone? It's been so long since I rooted it and installed Safestrap and Alliance Rom that I can't remember much of the process. It's not my main phone, is my gf's and lately she's complaining about the reception by phone. Is there a modem upgrade that we could try?
Baseband version NC2
Kernel 3.4.0
Model: SM-N900V
Base Version: NC4
I assume there's no 6.0 rootable rom upgrade?
Appreciate the help.
Best ask in the Verizon forum .
