I have full disk encryption turned on on my phone and unfortunately about a week ago I dropped my phone face down and the screen no longer works.*I've been using voice commands/my knowledge of where things are on the screen to use it to some extent anyways, but this last time after I rebooted it I'm having trouble getting past the unlock at boot screen. Any chance somebody could upload a picture of what that screen looks like so I can refresh my memory?

Hello,
on my new Mega device, it seems there is a problem: every now and then (I couldn't establish a pattern, as I have the phone only since yesterday), the lock screen that comes up when phone wakes up cannot be unlocked. More precisely, the locker that should be wiped away is not moving until the edge of the screen to disappear, but only just a few millimeters and the screen cannot be unlocked. The only solution is to take off the battery.
Is something that I'm missing?
Thank you.
HTC has released a hot fix for this issue:

Hello all,
My rooted Galaxy S4 GT-i9505's display stopped working. It just so happened when I took my phone out of my pocket. The last app I remembered using was Whatsapp and I did not mess with any settings before that.
Powering on and off this phone feels normal with vibrations but there is no display and the Samsung boot animation does not show. Calling to this phone works, with vibrations. Touch does not seem to be working as I tried to unlock the phone using pattern lock and there is no feedback. I am also able to detect the phone in my laptop but unable to access files as I am unable to unlock it.
I tried booting into Recovery/Download mode but it does not show anything. I have also pulled out the battery numerous times but the display still doesn't work.
Very looks like time to repair that phone, there are many phones likes that with board problem, just make sure LCD is not cracked, the bring it to local repair center do replace one component on the PBA.
Hello, the cell phone of a family member in this first week of use went well but this morning it was noticed that the screen was slightly raised on one side, and that the phone was unusable, everything works fine but at any time the phone shut off without warning (with whatever load), only if it is plugged in it stays on. Someone knows how it could be fixed just in case it is something internal and not just about the screen. We are processing the guarantee but just in case it does not solve anything. The mobile only has been with the official 26s, it has not given us time to root and enter a recovery. Thanks for the answers that arrive.
Ive spent the last 2 days trying but I need help. Never dropped a phone before. The screen is jet black but im getting haptic feedback on the lock screen. Ive never had the lock engaged on my phone. Except recently. I have usb debugging enabled but I'm getting unauthorized from adb devices. My default option when plugged in is charging only. I believe i was able to unlock using the pin code but i am not sure. I have a ton of photos i would like to recover. Can anyone advise?
Change the screen
Only possibility is changing screen,
Hello, so I have a J7 2017 (SM-J730GM/DS) 32 GB Unlocked Dual SIM which has served me well for a while. I ended up dropping the phone at some point in a sliver of time without a case and the screen cracked. After replacing the screen I noticed if the screen was pressed in a certain area it would go crazy and reboot the phone (crazy as in the pixels would do weird things like dimming, going grainy, like the display shorted in some area, then the phone would reboot itself), probably some error on my installation of the screen and the ribbon cables (I can see an area where it looks creased, it never sat flush with the body of the phone as the OEM screen did). I was able to just be careful and not trigger the reboot for some good time until it happened again and the phone would continuously reboot, allowing me to only get back to the OS through the boot menu, selecting "reboot now". That worked for a while until it would never boot into the OS, just looping at the screen where it says the phone name, where it would vibrate, go black, and go back to the phone name screen. I gave up trying to fix it, as I had a backup phone, and just now had some ideas. I figure the OS is corrupted in some way, I am no master in knowing the details on how phone boots up and such, so I did some research and successfully flashed the most recent ROM onto the phone using Odin 3.14. It still doesn't stop the looping, unfortunately.
Any ideas? I hear people talking about using TWRP or something to do things boot related, but I don't want to possibly mess anything up further nor do I know what they were talking about.
Thanks,
Stella
