Rear camera problem - Moto G4 Plus Questions & Answers

The flash of the rear camera of my moto g4 plus xt1643 indian varient is not working fine. Both of the led of the flash is working fine while using torch or while focusing in camera. But at the time of clicking a shot only yellow led blinks
Why both leds are not working while taking a shot?
If anyone knows how to remove this problem plzz help.

Moto G5 Plus back camera infrared permanent blinking

As the tittle says, on the back camera there's something like an infrared led or laser that I'm guessing it's used by the camera to focus better. (This light is only visible from a camera, can't be seen with the human eye)
The thing is that I noticed it's permanent blinking even when the phone is locked and the screen is off.
Is it intented, does anyone know more about this?
Haven't found anything related to it.
Its used to trigger Moto Display

I also hear something loose when I shake the phone. At first thought it was the side buttons but doesn't seem to be the case.

I have moto display disabled and sensors are still on. That's my question, if its intended or it's a bug.

These are the dual pixel auto focusing Sensors and not the sensors for MOTO Display!!

Those are proximity sensors and they are not used for focus
Dual pixel auto focus sensors are in the camera sensor, in every pixel... Those are proximity sensors and the can't be turned off even by kernel side...

That is a known issue with the custom roms available today. Its the OIS in the camera that's causing the vibrating.

Is that the stock ROM though, or did you install the ZTE camera on a custom ROM?
If you're on stock you probably have a messed-up OIS --> send to ZTE
I am on RR ROM. Stock should not have the same issue.
I had this on stock ROM, both Marshmallow and 7.0 Nougat. It doesn't happen anymore, don't know why. I would just shake the phone and restart camera app when it happens, and it usually goes back to normal.
This happened yesterday to me... Blur and vibration... Restarted phone and has not happened since... On Los April 24 nightly...

It does have it if you have a broken ois though
Simply one coil messed up and it's constantly trying to correct the position
Stock

I am on the Stock 7.1.1 and i dont think i have droppped it anytime. sometimes it works fine but somtimes it wont work for hours
I can confirm this randomly happens on my stock, unrooted Nougat 7.1.1 A2017U ever since I got Nougat. Didn't do it before w/ MM.
When it happens I have to back out of the camera and start camera app again, but then it's fine until it happens again.
A person on the LOS thread told me this is a hardware issue and was only able to fix it by getting a new device from zte. I have the same exact issue. Now I just have to figure out how to go back to stock and lock the bootloader of and get an exchange.
The word is still not up yet.
Here are my experiences with it:

[BUG] Problems with motion features

Hey guys!
The Moto G5 and G5 Plus have some motion features, like twist to start the camera or shake to start the flashlight.
Well, some times my Moto G5 Plus freeze this features, and some times work, some times not work.
I don't know why this occur, I think can be gyroscope or Android bad function...
With someone this problems occur?
Someone know how fix it?
I've reseted my Moto G5 Plus, but this not solve the problem
Someone?

I think this normally behave this way i tried this in some other moto phones also sometimes it work perfectly but some time it takes 2 or 3 guestures to activate flash i don't think by changing the phone will fix it may be it just behave this way
I'm facing a similar issue..chop for flashlight and twist for camera not working.. Randomly work by themselves...if I manually turn on flash light..it turns OFF with the chop gesture...don't know why it's not working.. Help anybody?? Also proximity sensor has some issues...
Actions sometimes work, other times don't
I have the same problem with Moto Actions on my G5 Plus. They will work for a while after a reboot. Also chop for flashlight will work to turn light off, but not on, when it's acting up. So frustrating! Otherwise a great phone but these little things make me wonder about my purchase.
I spent hours researching on the net and testing why the above problems happened. In the end, the answer was simple: some features don't work when there is a cover on the phone. With the phone cover removed, I can shake the light on and off and turn the camera on - which I can't do when the phone has its case cover over the screen. I think that this is because IR sensors are needed, not just gravitation sensors.
Scarecrow is right: one can turn on the light manually and then switch it off by karate chopping (even with the screen covered), but the inverse (chop to turn on light) only works with the screen uncovered. That is strange, but at least the chop and twist functions do work with the screen uncovered.
It is a little sad, as I love my phone case; it protects both front and back. But I now know to remove the front cover if I want to use the chop or twist function.
I actually have a Moto G4, which I love. But I think that what I have written should hold true for the G5, too. Good luck!

Yes, the front needs to be uncovered. With the proximity sensor covered, the motion features and Moto display are disabled. This prevents activation while the phone is in your pocket.

Camera issues with other roms (snapchat)

Hello! i got an camera question/problem with my Oneplus 5. So I have tested out some roms, for example AOSP extended and Resurrection Remix etc and everything works like it should without one thing. When I open snapchat THE FIRST time (when I just downloaded it from play store) it opens and I can log in etc. Then when I click "log in" im coming to the camera as you should and it is the FRONT facing camera that uses and then when I switch the camera to the rear camera everything works fine. But here is the problem, when I am trying to switch back to the front facing camera it won't switch back. It is like it's switching between my two rear cameras instead of switching to the front camera because I notice a different between when im trying to switch camera. I am pretty sure it is switching between these two cameras instead of my front facing camera.
Anybody have the same problem? Any solutions?
I got a Oneplus 5 and I have tested different roms but have the same problems, I have been rooted on all the roms so that shouldn't be the problem.
Thanks and hope someone have an answer because I don't wanna use OOS forever... <3
