Hello I just received the phone today and realized that I have the US version that only includes a single sim tray. On the home screen it shows the config menu for the sim as usim toolkit 1. Would it work with two sim cards if I buy the double sim card tray? I check were the tray goes and it seems that there are the two set of pins to read two sim cards.
Also where can I buy a double sim tray? I found one for 10 dollars in ally express but that is extremely expensive for a sim tray in my opinion.

Anyone found a dual sim with no cut option for raphael?
Theres simply no room for that nside the Raphael.
I would recommend a cut version (and do buy the special plyers to cut).
I use a 13th gen DUAL SIM that switches via SIMToolkit very neat. Bought on Ebay.
I even get to see the active Phonenumber (as setup in the SIMToolkit) in Manila Homescreen.
Can you write someone more about runnig this dual card in STK and upload working version of STK here?
My mind is semi-blown, you mean people are using two different sim cards in one phone?
Dual SIM card adapters make it possible to use (generally) 2 SIMs in your phone. Only one of he SIMs can be active at any time (remember the phone only has one radio).
As there is hardly any unused room inside modern phones the best option is to use a 'cut'-type dual SIM adapter.
1st what you do is, is cut your two SIM's neatly round the brass contact's. You can use special plyers to do that more safeky.
2nd you put these two cut SIMs into the adapter. The adapter has the dimensions and shape of a SIM.
3rd Put the adapter in the SIM slot in your phone and youre done.
The 13th Geneation Dual SIM adapter that I use, uses the SIM Toolkit (STK) application to switch the active SIM. This appears to be reliable. The STK hooks into the software of the Dual SIM adapter. On my phone it even presents itself as 'Dual SIM Card' in the programs folder.
The Dual SIM adapter i have appears to also work under WM 6.5 and also supports GPRS, Edge, 3G, .....I have used this adapter on my previous Wizard and am using it now in my Raphael.
I bought a Magic Sim Elite for my Samsung Note 3. I have two sims that are on the Bell network. My phone is unlocked. When I insert the Magic Sim I can see the app Dual Sim which does not seem to work and at the top of the screen I get an icon which is a circle with a line through it. This icon is for no network found I believe. I try to make a phone call but is says no network found. If I open the app I can see sim 1 and sim2. There is a star beside sim 1. If anyone has any information on this or can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
Hi Everyone, my research found that I can insert 2 Sims in any s8 but only on some market the 2nd tray is enabled. Seems that in Germany it is not.
Is there a way in how to unlock it? And use a normal s8 with dual sim and best would be still get OTA updates
The second tray for micro sd card I guess. Not for the SIM card.
No the tray allows to put in a sim also if you flip it 9. Degree
Also the duos version seem to contain the same hardware and same tray but work with dual sim so I guess it's only software deactivated
You need a second imei which only comes with the fd versions.
I own a Galaxy S8 (G950F) and I was wondering if I could use a second sim card. I've seen some S8s that have a different sim tray and they can support a sim card with either a second sim card or sd card but my phone's tray on has a sim + sd card tray.
No
No, because with dual SIM phones you'll have software options for the second SIM even if it's not inserted. The non-dual SIM phones don't have that.
Does anyone know if you can replace the sim tray on US branded S10's with a dual sim tray from the Global? And would the Dual SIM feature work?

Usually it doesn't work that way as there should be pins connected to the motherboard inside the phone for the second sim card.

If they make a conversion for the S10 then of course it would work. It worked for the S7 and S8, but without looking I don't know what version phone they're making the conversions for but I know that Simore and MagicSim made adapters for the older model phones. You need to realize though that it's dual sim standby and not active dual sim since both Sims will be sharing one modem and only one can be used at a time.
