Those with good battery life could you share your settings with me? With SOT 1hours 30minutes my battery reduce 40% which is very bad for me.
- Use battery saving location settings
-Turn off wifi scanning
-close power intensive apps during screen lock
-turn off Wi-fi+ if you don't need it.

I have check out by battery is in good condition.
but still i have battery drain problems.
problems started the day one i flashed a rom.
and the battery draining problem is just due to display.
without display on data connection on, and full time in proper connectivity area:
with music playback i get approx. 10hrs
or with bluetooth 6hrs
or on call i got 5 hrs
this were my battery stats.
but with display on for just 1 hr without any use idealy on homescreen itself it.
so i needed to know were will i get to change the display settings as i was using the lowest brightness of the rom.
i needed to change other features of display were are they available.
it will thankful of you if you help.
Turn your contrast down, use a conservative kernel setting and apart from that, if its still really bad (after a few battery cycles) then its f+$%ked unfortunately.
Hi,
My phone is not rooted, and sometime in cpuspy I can see that my phone spend a lot of time to 384MHZ and 60% of deep sleep.
I use greenify and I removed moto display, moto action, normal notifications..
There is a way to get more detail ? today in GSAM Battery I have 5h09 min in "held awake" and 7h40 in "Phone Radio"
Thanks
This may sound crazy and I was having the same problems.. so I decided to see if maybe these battery saving apps are the problem themselves, I deleted GSam and Greenify and my battery life has definitely gotten better. I'm ending the day with 30-40% left with just under 3 hours SOT. Bluetooth, Wifi, Location are all enabled
Ok I will try to remove Gsam to see if I have a difference, I also removed google docs, sheet and keep..
So is there a way to force the phone to go into "Deep Sleep" quicker or properly.? I seem to have allot of wakes from my battery stats. Stock Moto X Style.
I have seen better battery stats than mine. I don't know If something's wrong with my device (I have warranty tho so if it is, I can replace it)
I noticed that wifi is at the top of the list so I'm not sure what's going on.
I have greenify set for facebook because It destroys any battery. Also I disabled my location in case it was google now.
Accubattery shows 55% consumption while screen on (3h 29 SOT) while 38% of the battery gone while the screen is off (80% of that time is in deep sleep)
In the android's battery stats, wifi appears above screen in battery consumption.
Overall it's 16h 45 min of total battery life at 5% battery left.
I have seen 5h, 7h SOT so I don't exactly know what to expect.
I really need a hand because I can't let this pass if it's really a battery issue.
Thanks in advance.
Maybe you want to post a BBS log in this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/guide-extreme-battery-life-t3095884 to get proper help.

Nobody knows which device, bootloader status, dual sim, WiFi, apps, settings, rom etc. you are using. So please be so kind and provide these informations.
Also a full cycle of better battery stats is useful with all screens provided.
And as bullfinch110 said: there are threads(older) with battery tips
I'm sorry. I couldn't find a way to upload screens without external links and xda wouldn't let me.
Its xt1641, dual sim but i've only charged it with one.
Stock 6.0.1 Rom
Locked bootloader
Wifi is always on in that cycle. I've disabled today "enable wifi on deepsleep" to see what's up
I've also restored network settings.
When you sleep, does your phone sleep, or does it stay up all night and crunch 1s and 0s? Rate this thread to express how you deem the speed at which the Asus Zenfone 5V's battery drains under standby conditions. A higher rating indicates that when the phone is not in use, the battery drains minimally.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Drains a lot when phone is idle.
yes Zenfone 5 z is drianing almost 15 - 20 percemnty battery in stand by
This is work for me. 8 hours standby take 10% from battery
zenfone-battery-drain.com
If I have an alarm On in the morning, the phone will eat through about 5-6% of battery percentage in about 9 hours. However if there is no alarm the battery drain is somewhat reduced to about 3-4%.
Anyhow, Asus needs to fix the idle battery drain in the Pie update.
Same here. Battery drain when idle.
The battery drain issue for zenfone 5z can be minimized by doing the following:
- Make sure you are not using any Live Wallpapers or any application that can run on background while your phone is idle;
- Turn off Bluetooth, Mobile Data, and/or WiFi since you wont be needing them when your phone is in idle mode;
- Turn off Location Services or atleast set it to Battery Saving Mode if you insist on having it turned on;
- Go to Settings > Sound & Vibration > Vibration intensity, and lower all vibrations or turn them off altogether;
- Go to Battery Settings > Battery optimizations, and check that all your Apps are being optimized;
- Still in Battery Settings, set the phone to Sleep in 1 minute or less when idle;
- In Battery Settings, click PowerMaster > Battery Saving options, enable "Clean up in suspend" and "Auto deny apps from auto-starting";
- Inside PowerMaster, click "Auto Start manager" and disable background apps from auto-starting;
- Go to Settings > Display, Turn off Screen Saver and LED indicator;
- Go to Settings > Security & lock screen, disable Wallpaper animation and Weather animation;
- Go to Settings > Advanced > AI features, and turn off AI ringtone (this makes your phone listen on the background noise of your environment which consumes battery in the background);
- Go to Settings > Advanced , enable Pocket Mode, this helps your device not to accidentally wake up on idle mode;
**You can also use third-party apps like Greenify (dont need root) to help you save battery when you are not using your phone**
Hello, when I bought the phone from the seller, the battery was good, about 2 months old. I downloaded another one, I do not remember what the region was before, and what baseband was and build number. So I installed xeu region software. I'm using the firmware for about 2 weeks, everything is fine, but now it's obvious that there is a problem with the battery life. before rebuilding the data, dropped overnight by 1 or 2 percent since I locked it, like 12h lock, after 9h not using one percent or two down but not 10. Wifi is off, the location is on (high-level mode) and increase the accuracy when wifi is off and bluetooth is off, scan automatically, as I turned on this feature in place to increase the accuracy of the location. with battery saving mode i want explain for understand humans turned in location settings wifi scanning while wifi is off and bluetooth scan when bluetooth is off too in location settings. and battery saver turned on in settings backround data and wifi while screen off when battery saver is enable. and from wifi settings while screen off turned off wifi. after these settings battery dropped down 10percent after 3hours. i full charged yesterday i unplug and non used two or 2:30 hours battery dropped from 100 to 99 thats normal. but how gonna did that? 71 ,to 60 per 3 hours???? phone is locked and no background app, location is on but dont remember or i ticket in settings location wifi and bluetooth scanning while off........ before last factory reset without battery saver mode dropped 1 or 3 percent per 8 hours of non-use .. I remembered that I turned on backround data and wifi when turn on battery saver in battery saving settings. all background apps are off. wifi off when the screen is off I changed from always to never which exteneded more battery saver. The battery has dropped down 10% over 3hours. before last factory reset without battery saver the battery dropped overnight by only 1-2 percent. i dont remember when i switch I turn location on or not . and wifi and bluetooth scanned is on when wifi is off.
after last reset from 71 to 60 battery dropped down after three hours with wifi is off when screen is off , location mode is on high level, and i cant remember was on ticket when wifi and bluetooth even is off, i mean never turned bluetooth on when i go to sleep and from battery saver mode ticket backround data and wifi to on when battery mode is on..
