Why do you keep your data ON if you sleep?
Wouldn't be better to turn it ON when you wake up?
Google Settings - Location - unmark access location......you dont need it when you sleep.....maybe if you practice out of body experience
Sync - also OFF, if you need it ON for sync Email or Gmail, better use Maildroid or Aqua
On stock c3, unrooted (I did root to remove bloatware and ads) I lose about 2-3% during the night (sync, 3g OFF)
After battery calibration let it settle down it take 3 to 4 charging cycles

SOLVED
Solved the battery drain issue.
It was due to xposed frameworl.
I was using 3-4 modules like wanam xposed , app per dpi, bootmanager
When i uninstalled it;, now my battery is much much much better than earlier
But is there any alternative to app per dpi
Coz i dont like the SecPhone 's HUGE icons while CALL.
I HATE IT
Can any1 modify the Secphone.apk for 240dpi or any other please
I request to all Honor 7 users to post their battery status here please as there is no battery status thread or post here.

Thanks for sharing info. in battery section, Can you also confirm what Region/variants/Batch/ROM version affected from this bug?
How widespread is this problem ?
Few Days ago cell standby : 80%
Now : ~44% after not using airplane mode in the night. Very sad about this issue because my battery life on my old Note 2 was really good

Turn off your gps and other background battery draining apps that maybe keeps your screen awake.
Your suppose to lose barely 1% during night sleep.

I am waiting for delivery but my model will be as for UK as everyone have across EU, This is very serious issue, I request all user to Email to Huawei/honor to they can release patch or update regarding that ASAP ? Can you tell me how much % battery drain overnight ? for example since when you turn off screen before you go to sleep to wakeup in the morning with or without dual sim and all bt, wifi & Mobile data off? Have try factory reset and see better result in drain ? Can you also measure Temperature when you wake up phone and when normal usage with Wifi and Mobile data using app. called CPUTEMP please
I loose between 5 and 10% per night, with airplane mode and w/o BT and wifi.
the phone stay cold.
I didn't wipe, but some users already tried and it don't fix.
I asked to honor to patch it, they know how to fix it.
I advise to get replacement, specifically ask them to give you different batch is possible, btw my 2013 LG G2 drain only 1-2% battery overnight on without airplane mode , try install CPU SPY and tell me your deep sleep % please

That doesn't mean there is a problem. It was reported in another review that cell standby reports high usage but it has no affect on battery life and they loose only 2% overnight. You could be losing high amount of battery overnight for other reasons, such as background apps.
i did many test, it's cell standby which drain my battery.

I don't thing that this problem should exist in Honor 7 as such not mention in Two dated review website like gsmarena.com or notbookcheck.net, if such a problem exist they must have mentioned in it, in the description of search result which say Description:
"When mobile data (2G or 3G) is switched on, all the internet apps continue to consume battery and keep the mobile data active unless they are force stopped. On kitkat, this didn't happen because apps stopped using mobile data whenever their transaction was over. But here in lollipop, they don't seem to stop ever and cause a huge battery drain.
Please look into this.. It's still present in 5.1 (aosp and all custom roms)."
The above statement means it confused your battery when you leave turned on Mobile Data or Wifi, There are so many app which terminate your application when you turn off the screen or even hibernate or stop until you use next time to stop battery drain even with Wifi and Mobile data off, I don't think any apps consuming battery or keeps CPU awake with Wifi or Mobile data off
Try installing "CLEAN MASTER" which will tell you any power and CPU hungry apps which running or restarting in background and also terminate or Hibernate apps when not in use with many more functions without ROOT
Can you also publish screenshot or battery usage and screen on time please

Huawei Honor 7 - Battery Performance (Not Bad)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtAU05Eyxa8a
Hello:
App standby in developer option is showing all my app active, even the calculator, fm radio, adobe reader, it is supossed to inactive them if i don't use them and there is a lot of apps that i never used and they are "active". All my apps have set to optimize in battery and i was having better battery life in L.L.. Perphaps performance is a lot superior on marshmallow. In another hand, Doze is not working, my device idlle is eating 1% or more a hour.
Does anyone having this issue?
I have no autosync but notification on with whatsapp, badoo, happn, tinder, facebook, facebook messenger and precisition set to accurate. No games, just chrome an apps allready named. I am getting 12hs of baterry with 5-6 hs of Sot.
Now i have disable personal data on google play store, google play service and motocare in security.
Thanks in advance!
idle is draining more than 1% because when the device is idle the location services and fb notification services are still running in the background.
By default Doze doesn't kick in until your screen has been off for 30 minutes and then it checks to see if your phone is motionless - if it isn't (ie. it's in your pocket and you are walking around) then the 30 min timer kicks in again.
This is, btw, an absolutely over-simplified description. Basically if you are checking your phone every few minutes or walking around with it in your pocket, it's not going to Doze.
In your case, I wouldn't worry about what is active/inactive, instead I'd look at what wakelocks might be causing your battery drain. An app like "Wakelock Detector" or "Better Battery Stats" can tell you this but you have to be rooted.
Did your phone come with Lollipop and subsequently updated OTA to MM? If so, and you haven't done so already, a factory reset would probably help (or at least eliminate one possible battery drain cause).
You have Badoo, Facebook and Facbook messenger with location set to accurate + 5 hrs of SoT!!!!! 12 hours is a Miracle!!!!
What do you expect more? Sun, Moon and The stars?

Thanks all for your answers!
-Update via OTA, factory reset, wipe cache.
-Allready know how doze works, doing test in the nigth, phone on a desc, idle for like 9hs.
-Same apps than in L.L but worse battery. In L.L these apps didn't keep my device awake, now they do. Y checked and the one that make my device awake was Messenger. Uninstalled, tested and device didn't awake with screen off. Like 2 hours laters, same test, now facebook start keeping the device awake... I am checking manually because i didn't root it. I am trying too to see if this problem has to be with high presicition on location service or just facebool and messenger apps, but ****ing tinder don't work with battery saving ubication. I know all are ****ty apps but i love to **** strangers hahahahahhaha.
In the other hand, i had read that in nexus phone and other M.M phones in the developer options app didn't use figure "inactive", in my phone all apps are active and can't toogle to inactive!
Again, thanks a lot for your help!
Also, dissable a system app called motorols notification service, didn't know what it do but was with google play services an Dm services in not optimizing apps. Anyone now what it is? All functionality work the same!
Hi. Don't you have a problem with Facebook Messenger notifications? I set it to not optimize, but my messages are not received immediately. Sometimes even after 5 minutes after turning screen off I don't have notification and must turn screen on.
deleted.
Hi, I bought an LG G6 some weeks ago. Untill now everything has been fine except on thing, the battery idle battery consumption.
Idle battery consumption is very high on my phone, even higher that screen consumption. Does anyone here experienced the same? what coudl be happening?
Here a picture of the battery usage: imgur.com/a/aRNXZ
Thanks.
Same here I always lose around 10% overnight with WiFi off.
I reset mine 8-9 times always doing clean install and progressive apk installation (as in 2 or 3 today then another the day after) never found the culprit but the problem eventually stopped (something related with Android System that was always way high in stats).
Tried AOD on/off but it had nothing to do. Even removed Tasker and my projects to try and sort it out.
And also seemed that the phone ate more juice with screen off and I could see that it never Dozed...
What is with location settings from google now?
Also the settings in Google->Settings->Search->In Apps - does it have to index much files?
How can I check my google now location settings? I cannot find it anywhere.
Same problem here
Inviato dal mio LG-H870 utilizzando Tapatalk
If you use Google Fit, please turn it off and use it only when you need it. My battery life increased now to more than 24h of using. I also do not use the Facebook app and **** like this. Looking for Facebook is enough for me, by chrome or Brave (to me the better chrome)
the facebook Lite app is also a good option, not as full featured though, MUCH smaller and way less battery drain.
Thanks for the replies! I have switched to facebook lite and disabled LG health. I will update you on how it worked.
I have a drain of about 10-12% overnight with wifi/location etc turned on but I have a HUGE SUPER MASSIVE drain coming from Instagram.
How did that work out for you? I'm having the same issue. Did you or anyone find a solution?
Got same problem
Stop the background process of the apps that consume battery life. [run in background] uncheck it in setting.
Hello guys,
I have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4x with 4GB of RAM, 64GB storage and a Helio X20 CPU. The performance on the phone is great but the battery life is horrible. The battery gets drained on idle within a few hours. I just unplugged it from the charger and it lost 10% with turned off wifi and mobile internet. I literally only left it on the table and when I checked back it was 10% down...
I thought it might be the old battery, so I ordered a new original one from France, which looks and feels legit. After replacing the battery I kept having the exact same issues. No improvements at all. I have no idea whats going on. The battery life is only good when I'm in airplane mode, but then my phone is useless. I turned off GPS, sync, turned on the battery saver, I have even Greenify installed, disabled lots of background apps. Nothing helped. This is driving me crazy, because I cant go anywhere without my powerbank. The phone has a 4000mAh battery that dies within 3-4 hours.
Could it be possible that this is caused by MIUI or something in the background that is constantly connecting to the internet? Because the battery could last for days when I'm in Airplane mode. The phone has also a very long screen on time while in Airplane mode. I think it can last for hours with the screen turned on as long as the airplane mode is turned on. As soon as I connect to any kind of network the battery starts draining really fast.
Here is a small list of applications that I have installed on the phone:
Facebook Messenger (no FB app)
Edge
Spotify
Discord
Viber
Instagram
Firefox
Onedrive
Outlook
Ebay
etc.
I was thinking of flashing a custom ROM on it, but there are not many options. Unlike the Snapdragon Variant, my phone doesn't seem to be supported by many main custom ROM developers like Lineage. I don't even know how to look for a ROM, because most ROMs are for the Redmi Note 4 (without the "x"). Does anyone know if the Redmi Note 4x (MTK) is using the same chipset like a Redmi Note 4 (MTK)? Both have the same codename "Nikel".
Any help would be MUCH appreciated!
I don't trust anything with Facebook in the name and expecially messengers. Most of them suck a lot of memory and will constantly be checking on the Internet. I assume you have mobile data turned on. That in itself will pull down a battery especially if you have a lot of apps in the background that want to check in often and it looks like you do.
You can try to force stop some of those apps but some will restart theirselves almost immediately after a force stop. If you are rooted you could use Rom Toolbox or a similar app to 'freeze' them until you need them. You can also use an app like "4G (gigabyte) Ram Memory booster" to clear memory although some apps as I mentioned will come right back.
If you don't have all bars showing for your cellular your phone may be raising the power output levels accordingly and thus if you only have 1 or 2 bars your power being used can be many times higher for any apps that connect to the Internet.
You can also find apps that will prevent other apps from starting up until you open them. "Advanced Permission Manager" is a good one although it sometimes won't work on certain apps.
