Note 8 Keyboard on S8 - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

I have a quick question that I am not sure if it is possible. I have unrooted S8 that I do not want to root. however, I like the Galaxy Note 8 keyboard because it allows me to type traditional chinese character using pinyin keyboard layout. I wonder if there is a way to run the Note 8 keyboard on S8 without root? If not, is there a way where the stock Samsung S8 keyboard can let you use pinyin qwerty input for traditional chinese? thanks a lot guys

Remove Keyboard

Hi I bought my HD2 recently from eBay.
It has English and chinese keyboards.
Is there any way to remove chinese keyboard?
Thanks in advance for your reply.
I don't think so. But it will only show if you press on the Chinese character key. And the handwriting input for Chinese is a great game even if you don't know Chinese.

How to change keyboard layout to U.S.?

Hi everyone. I have an "English version" (not Chinese) HD2 purchased in Hong Kong, but the keyboard is not a US alyout and its nearly impossible to use.
It has too many buttons and stuff not needed including PinYin input support making all too crammed up and all buttons smaller. I have big fingers and typing here is a nightmare.
Is there a mod or application to get rid of this and install a simpler and basic US layout? Also, is there a way to get rid of the XT9 input button? I keep hitting it by mistake and its ON by default every time the keyboard is started despite I configured it under options to be always OFF.
Thank you so much in advance

I have the same issue. I would like to know the answer. IME might be a clue.

Switching keyboard IME from Samsung ChineseIME back to Google Keyboard

I normally use Google Keyboard US with Swype enable to write my text messages.
But sometimes I need to input Chinese characters, therefore I switch from my (main) google keyboard (in which I use swype) to Samsung Chinese IME.
This is simply achieved with 1 step: I simply click on the keyboard icon showing a world-globe (left from space bar and right from "," and I select Samsung Chinese IME.
Doing so the Samsung Chinese IME automatically becomes the default keyboard.
In order to switch back, since the world-globe icon is NOT ANYMORE there, under Samsung IME, I need to:
1. go to settings
2. clinck on My Device
3. click on Language and input > here I see that the default keyboard is NOT Samsunch Chinese IME
4. Select English (US) Google Keyboard
Only after 4 steps I am able to revert back to my google swype keyboard!
Is there a shortcut?
I am trialing SlideIT, but it seems that it does NOT contain Chinese IME.
Same goes for Google IME: it has many languages, bit NOT Chinese...at least on my version.
Thank you!

If you know a way to add Chinese to my Google Keyboard, than I would have solved my problems..
Thank you
Saulo
I am trying another IME, called SwiftKey, but it does NOT offer Chinese input...
So I still need to switch back and forth from google keyboard to Samsung Chinese IME...
Please any idea?
No ideas on how to make the switching among IME Keyboards?

I haven't get any more replies, so let me ask a different question: does anybody know a SWYPE style keyboard capable to input Chinese in addition to English and French?
Thank you!
Saulo
I think Google keyboard supports Chinese, just google it, or take a look at the play store...
For other keyboards, try Swype keyboard or Xperia keyboard (this one you can find here in xda).

Multi lang on physical keyboard

Hey guys!
Just got my Priv.
While I want to stick with Swiftkey Keyboard as my main one, and I'm using 2 languages, I can't find a way to switch between the 2 languages while the physical keyboard is open.
Am I missing something? Is it possible at all?
How at all am I supposed to switch between 2 languages on the physical with the stock BB keyboard? is there any key shortcut or only to manually switch keyboard?
Thanks!
Ben.
