J320FN Service Mode - Sound - Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) Questions & Answers

Hello people, i recently bought the J320fn and got it rooted, xposed and twrp.. One thing bad with this phone is the speaker volume, its so low... So i remembered the Samsung Phone Info app and ran the 197328640 code to enter Service Mode and then change the max volume but i have encountered a problem, the sound choice does nothing, is locked? How can i bypass this setting (in mind that apps claiming to do this also use this option so wont work...)

telephony problem

hi there.
i just got an LG optimus 7 and all seemed fine untill i needed to make a phone call. I couldn't hear anything and the guy I wanted to talk to didnt hear me either. But as soon as i turned on the speaker mode during call, all went fine, i could hear and i was heard. Disabling speaker mode gave me the same result : no hear no heard.... Any ideas ? I made a factory reset ( vol + vol - camera buttnon then press power) and still the same problem...
Phone was bought from abroad and warranty is pretty useless here...
thanks
LE : flashed the open european fw, the orange uk fw .. same results... I'm thining this is a sowftware ( settings ) problem, since both speaker and microphone are working ( theres one speaker and one mic as we all know) , and maybe some MFG setting would bring some joy.. but i dont find any user service manual around...
Try MFG sofftware (you should find how to install it in other posts). In MFG you should find menu with test many device components exmpl: camera, gps and others and speaker or mic. If it dosn't help I think you have a damage phone and you should contact with service support.

New Nexus 4 Silent mode issue
Hi,
Even I got a brand new Nexus 4 very recently as a birthday gift from my sister who stays in USA. I stay in India and even I am facing the same issue.
PROBLEM: The phone automatically toggles between ringer and silent mode when making calls.
Say if I've put the phone in silent mode, on making a call it will go to ringer mode and if im on ringer mode, making a call will get me to silent mode.
PS: Did you find any solution? It really gets annoying during meetings as you said.
Also if i reboot the phone this issue gets fixed for some time but again it starts happening.
I have already done a full factory reset twice. Nothing seems to be working for me. I know it's a software bug but it's a new device.
Any solutions??? Plss... Or did your problem get resolved? How if it did...
Sadly No solution to this problem.. But now a days trend has reversed fro me .. if i have it in vibrator mode and change it to ringer it chnages back to vibrator on its own.. this is frustating
Facing the same man... It's not a new problem... we are facing the same issue...
As I mentioned... if its on ringer it goes to vibrate and if its on vibrate it goes to ringer... But if you reboot it gets fine for some time.... then starts happening again...
Let me know if you find a solution. Otherwise have you experienced any screen Freezing during Incoming calls (Unable to pick up) and all? I'm facing that too...
what about: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2248866
Avg is the culprit according to that forum but.. I need to test it out.. tahnks anyways
AVG SUCKS! - It's the reason for all this chaos
AVG is the cause... Thanks a lot. It never occured to me that what was installed to protect my phone was the reason to corrupt its software.
Uninstalled it and now its perfectly fine. Love my Nexus 4.

Call Volume gets reset to max

Hi everyone,
I have recently bought Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and I am located in Mumbai (India). My service provider is Vodafone. I have attached a screenshot about the details of my phone like version, build etc. I am facing a weird problem. Whenever I am on call (whether i have made a call or I have received a call) the call volume gets reset to maximum everytime. I have tried to set the volume at mid level using the setting icon that is present on the right side of the call volume bar but in vain. My adapt sound is disabled.
Please tell me what can be the issue and how can i resolved it.
Thanks in advance.

Sound output disabled while sleeping (S7 Edge G935F)

Hello gals and guys, you are my last hope.
I have a Galyxy S7 Edge G935F bought in Germany with no sim lock, i got it with G935FXXU1APAW, updated to G395FXXU1APC8. Yesterday i rooted it with CF-Auto-Root-hero2lte-hero2ltexx-smg935f based on XXU1APBF. I still have stock recovery.
The Problem:
Sometimes, while sleeping, the phone disables all sound.
This happens mostly while recharging, but it happened also while simply sleeping and not recharging. It is not reliably reproducable, sometimes the phone works for 2 or 3 days without the error occurring. Which makes the error very hard to find of course.
Sound off means: No media output is working (games, video, music), notifications are not sounding only vibrate, the phone doesn't ring when someone calls, just vibrates. No calls and notifications means, this is very severe.
When i plug in earphones or headphones, there is also no sound on the headphones. Putting in and pulling out the headphones does not reactivate the sound, so it seems not to be a problem with the headphone jack. The jack is very loose, though, doesnt hold the headphones strongly; but thats another problem.
The sound can be reactivated by the following:
- rebooting
- calling someone (i used to call my provider) or getting called (the first call gets lost, but when i get a second call, it works again)
- i installed an app called SoundAbout, which lets me route the sound to different outputs. I must first route media output to "earpiece" (the small loudspeaker you hold on your ear during calls) and then route the media back to "Speaker". Only this combination reactivates the sound again. Just activating "Speaker" or any other combination like for example first "Wired Phones" and then "Speaker" does not work. It must be "earpiece" and then "Speaker".
What i tried, without success:
- deleted all bluetooth devices
- disabled bluetooth
- enabled "prevent USB audio routing" in dev options
- uninstalled all kinds of apps having to do with sound or lockscreen
- played with all kinds of settings having to do with sound or lockscreen
I searched everywhere. A call to Samsung was not very helpful either. I might have to try a factory reset after all, but even if its good at factory, i still won't know the culprit.
But since the problem can be solved via software, i suspect it is software related or is at least diagnoseable via software.
Of course, it would be insanely awesome when someone could just present me the solution, but i would do all the debugging myself, if i only could.
I am a developer myself, but only on windows. My experiences on linux don't go much further than doing an "ls -la" on commandline and i am a total noob on android. I will not be afraid of using a terminal or adb, as long as i am guided a bit.
I hope, somebody can point me out how to diagnose and this thing.
Can one diagnose the current state of audio routing ? Can i manipulate it via commandline ? Are there other relevant components which i need to query ?
Could i write a script that pulls those queries every minute or so ?
And finally, if the wrong settings are found, are there log files which can point out who messed with those settings. Which apps would you recommend for those actions ?
Thanks to everyone in advance ...
Correction
just getting called doesn't fix anything. Only when i accept the call it gets fixed and then the next call rings again, of course. So this means, while the bug is active, i miss all calls.

Touch Sounds, etc can't be heard even though all volume levels are up all the way

Hi Everyone,
My phone is the unlocked version of the S7 running
I don't hear the following sounds any more:
Touch sounds
Screen lock sounds
Charging sound
Under Sounds and vibration these are all turned on. All volume levels are on all the way up.
Restarting the phones does not fix the issue as well as booting in safe mode.
Is there another setting I need to set to get these sounds back on?
Thanks.
