Stock ROM LED notifications - OnePlus 5 Questions & Answers

Hi
I'm having troubles figurin out how to do the following:
- hate the LED notification while charging - I want to turn LED off for "low battery", "charging" and "full" modes, but
- would like to have LED functioning normally while receiving notifications from apps.
By going to SETTINGS >> DISPLAY, and turning "Pulse notification light" OFF seems to disable ALL LED notifications. But when enabled, I cannot find a way to disable JUST the battery full/charging/low lights.
Any ideas?

Hey!
There has to be such an option in Display - LED Notifications, see screenshot.
I'm able to turn off the LED when charging, when the battery is fully charged and when it's low.

I have the same options as You do - but from there You can only choose WHICH color to have for those battery modes (low, charging, full). But, as I stated in the first post, if You go to SETTINGS > DISPLAY and turn "Pulse notification light" off -- that will disable LED completely.
But when You enter the "LED notifications" menu (just under the "pulse notification light" option), all You get is to choose which colors to have. No options to turn battery LED off... AFAIK

Ah, I see... Now I understand...
That's pretty bad. Did you try "Light flow" or something like this as a workaround then?

The impact on battery life should be absolutely minimal. It blinks when a application sent a notification with a LED-request to the phone. Usually, you can turn this off in the application in question.
For example, Gmail lets the LED blink green when a new E-mail was recieved, Twidryod lets it blink blue. In both programs, you can deactivate the LED-notification in the settings of the program.
None of my apps (incl gmail) have any LED options, and I've never seen the LED flash at all. Not for calls, sms, email or anything.
Could be under sound, pulse notification light?

Blinking Blue LED?

Hello,
My phone Blinks with blue LED's occasionally. It seems to be a double flash and does not indicate a notification. It reminds me of the S3 Touchwiz motion detector and I have checked that I do not have the SMART ON settings enabled.
Anyone know what these may be?

It is a notification of one of the accounts you are connected to, somehow. Have you turned the LED off in settings?
Turn LED off (settings, display, scroll to bottom)>restart phone>turn LED back on

Best app to control notification light?

Just got my nexus today! Playing with the notification light and doing some research. Seems light flow and led blinker cause the ambient display to come on randomly. I also tried light manager but that gives a persistent notification in the notification shade which is annoying. Any suggestions?

light flow works great for me (I turned off ambient display, as it doesnt work very well even without light flow installed). You can also, in light flow, turn off the switch screen option, which will also help with ambient display.
as for the persistent notification, that is a marshmallow issue for the time being, the light flow developer explained it quite nicely (ill try and dig it up).

Yeah, I mean I just got the phone today but ambient display is a little wonky. I thought it was supposed to turn on every time I take my phone out of my pocket, but if doesn't.
But where is this screen option in light flow?
The persistent notification is only with light manager. I don't get one with light flow.

give it time, on its own, it will come on also
In light flow, I am not sure if it is on by default, but if you go to main settings > general settings, there is an option for device admin, if that is checked, you will also have an option to switch screen on (which you can enable/disable on a per notification basis) . You could if you wish use this option instead of light flow, it may work better for what you like as well.

Notification LED can not light continuously (P8-lite-2017)

Why the notification led from the P8-lite-2017 (Pra-lx-1) is always flashing. I'm using the app "Light Manager" and set the notification led for some apps to light without an interval. But the led goes off and fastly on again. When the phone is charging the led can light without any interrupt.
Is it possible to make that for notifications too?

its on the visible surface of the pop-up camera while its contacted, or, top surface of the phone.
That led notification place so useless. Also it doesnt work for me too.
For me its not working even if I set manualy for each app to show led light. Only when charging. Is it software bug?

Did you go to Additional settings/Notification Light and tick Blink Light?
Having said that, it's position is completely useless..?
The notification light won't change color. Even you set the green for whatapp s .Red for black phone.
