I have the 8125 with the 2.25ROM. As for BT I just currently have a single earpiece (mono).
Can one not listen to audio through the earpiece? I of course understand it's mono but I'm primarily interested in audiobooks.
With that said, is the HT280 compatible with the 2.25ROM of the 8125? I seem to remember some issues that is wasgoing to be then wasn't, but not really caring that much at the the time I don't remember what the verdict was.
If neither of the above will not work can someone recommend a decent pair of wired earpieces? The OEM version that comes with the 8125 are awful and today on the way home I realized (duh) that when I have my MP3 earpiece in the person on the other end of the phone cannot hear me.
Thanks all,
David

I got my HT820s in the mail yesterday. They work fantastic and sound great. No complaints other than the earpieces are a tad thick. They are comfortable and lightweight.. just I look kinda silly with them on . But I like them anyway.
Hi!
I just got my HTC Desire HD and I have moved from Galaxy S and one of the thing I really like is the music controller on headphones.
But I don't seem to like the stock headphones, since I have my own ones that haves this super-bass feature, then I would like to use my old ones.
Is there a headphone jack for HTC Desire HD that comes with this music controller?
I could cut off the stock headphones and do a bit soldering, but not just yet...
I have ordered from ebay a A2DP bluetooth headphone jack, but I think the battery drain is too big.
Also is there a way to disable the call function on this controller? It's kinda annoys me, because if you press really fast the "Play" button then I start calling the last person I have called.
I bought these after days of reading reviews. User reviews are very positive, so is my experience.
It just has a pick up/ hang up option or pauze/play. That will do for me.

Looks really good, but I'm looking for this thing:
http://helmetaudio.com/khxc/media/ccp0/prodxl/CPA10-500x500.jpg
just with the music controller also.
I do have one that comes from iPhone, but it is really low quality - reduces bass.
And it is bit hard for me to control music with just one button.
i use a sony ericsson bluetooth headphone jack, with my own headphones and battery drain is nothing really only problem is the htc music player wont let you use the dolby or srs

Hi fellow dutchman, can I ask where you orderd them and at what price I see the price is MSRP $49 but can only find them at much higher prices here in holland
I'm using the Phillips SHH3580, it's pretty simple with just an answer button, but the ear phone is pretty nice, price is good as well.

Hy fellow dutchmen...
I ordered them for €45,- at Hifi to go in Maarsen. But they jacked up the price. Maybe look for the new version of this headset, the NE-700M. A bit more expensive, but according to the reviews better as well.

thx mate, will check this out
@ regdude:
If you go to Bluetooth settings, and select on the screen the device you need to setup (press for 2 seconds), choose options on the new popup window, and un-check the "telephone" option, you will not have that problem again!
I actually do the opposite with my SE BT headset!
I think I will get the note eventually either way, but I would like to confirm this:
Will using a bluetooth A2DP headset bypass the low quality yamaha DSP that everyone seems to be complaining about?

Hey bro, I moved to S2 after X1. I am tempted to get one and my hands are itching. I may buy one in Dec when I back to HK, or wait a little while for little lowered price.
I think volume+ only boost the volume but do not solve the problem of bad music quality of Yamaha chip (the same issue I found on S2). But I found music thru A2DP (SE MW-600 and JVC KD-BT1) are pretty good.
hopefully today (given up on lying couriers, going to collect it in person) I'll be able to actually have a listen..
although I wouldn't consider myself an audiophile, just a musician
volume+ does seem to help with eq, I've been using it on my streak for a while, but its mostly boost rather than anything else.
I guess its time to I started looking at the kernel..
This is now the 3rd LG phone in a row to completely suck on bluetooth audio quality, my G Pro did, and the Optimus before it also. I have the AT&T version, using bluetooth headphones its not as much of an issue. In cars or on a louder higher quality audio system is where it really shows up. Ive used two diff samsung phone and an iphone 5 that sounded perfect. Even using the wired line in to the car, the volume nearly has to be maxed to have the same level as a iphone on meduim.
I want to like this phone but music is something i do all the time in the car. I had high hopes with LG saying they were putting all this high quality audio in it, but it still sounds like **** compared to other phones.
Does anyone have some code to fix this?, im sure this is something the phone will need rooted to install and im open to doing that. I have two G2s and both have the same issue, the company phone obviously I wont root, but the personal phone I just want to improve it to at least what other older smartphones were able to do

Mine sounds perfect on my system n my GTO, what's code gonna do?
but have you ever run other devices prior to the G2 in it?
Mine sounds fine compared to the S4 in my BMW. ONLY Difference is Maybe alittle less bass response on the G2. Not much tho

I have not seen any mention of aptX on G2. Without it, it won't compete with new Samsungs.

Beats, DSP Manager, etc.
There are a bunch of audio enhancements that have been ported to different devices, through third party development.

I'm also having issues. Not only is the volume really low, it also plays slow so everything sounds like a 12" records on the wrong speed. Iphone from before worked fine.

It is a proprietary standard for CD quality bluetooth.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AptX
I am also having issues w/ bluetooth in my car. I can get it connected, but it doesn't seem to want to stay connected. Mid song, the car stereo will all of a sudden drop the connection and switch to a different input ("normal" behavior when the source is disconnected. Acts the same way if you disconnect ipod from USB cable). I had an iphone 4s & Lumia 920 that did not act this way prior to my G2. Anyone try to OTA update to see if it improved things?

What year and model is your BMW and what system do you have in it? I agree with the origional post saying the quality is noticable crappy with my BMWs sound system (2013 X1 with HK and idrive). My Note II sounded perfect but my G2 sounds terrible. Especially if I crank it. I would really appreciate it if anyone had a solution because if not this otherwise great phone will have to go back
I'm a bit of an audiophile so being able to have my FLAC files is nice. I realize that Bluetooth obviously isn't streaming raw PCM, but having good quality source material can help. That and it just makes me feel better knowing.
I just wish I could navigate beyond the current playlist using the controls on the steering wheel. I have a "menu" button, but's greyed out. Same with the old GNex. I have a feeling the car is design specifically to work best with an iPhone.

Just got the lgg2 and the phone and streaming music via Bluetooth work fine in my car [2013 BMW]. However, when connected to the car via Bluetooth, neither the phones mic nor the car mic work for voice commands [like for dictating an email or text or google searches]. Probably a deal killer for me unless I can find a solution. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as otherwise I really like the phone.

The music is fuzzy or has a hiss or something. It just isn't clear and crisp like on my note ii or my friends iphones. It is most noticeable when the music get busy (bass treble and voice all at once). If I switch to the headphone jack it sounds great again but that defeats the purpose of the bluetooth and audio controls. Out of curiosity do you ever use slacker radio? I am having issues where I can't skip tracks using the car controls like i could on the note ii.
Does anyone know if we can fix this? Modify the bluetooth bitrate or add an additional profile? Any help would be greatly appreciated. If I can't get this fixed in the 14 day return period I will have to find a different phone. I would be happy to pay someone to make a fix. Thanks!

I always play music in my car and I had the GNex. My G2 sounds way better and is louder, I use bluetooth with the (aptx?) spec receiver.
I noticed that when I first used bluetooth for music playback, it sounded fantastic. After using it for a little bit, the sound degraded and it now sounds, well, poor. So... I'm guessing I'm just going to have to go buy an aux cable.
Hey guys, looks like this forum is pretty quiet for the Axon 7 mini but if you see this, I'm considering getting one as a media player (mostly music) in compliment to my Axon 7 which is my daily driver phone. Does the mini output bluetooth audio at hi res like it's big brother? I know it has an AKM DAC for the 3.5mm socket but I mostly use BT either in my car or on headphones now, so that is very important.
If not, I may as well just use my wife's old Oppo F1f when her new phone arrives. Performance is similar but not hi res audio.
Decided to get one anyway, so cheap, AU$149 new in box from retail store, grey one too, not keen on gold. I'll put my 128Gb card from the Axon 7 in it as I put a 256Gb in that recently.
My Axon 7 is stock and used for work but the mini can be anything I want
So, as to stock ROMs, what is the latest one you can root ok? I'm downloading 7.1.1 B15 for my G variant, it doesn't find any OTA updates from it's old original global ROM which is ZTE B2017G APV1.0.0B01
In Australia.

No hi-res bluetooth. Just aptX. If you install the one.
So far I tried three ROMs, cannot update it.
Buyers remorse kicking in.......
Maybe stuck like those variants in GB and Canada.
Edit: thinking about the process of updating Axon 7, maybe there is a road map for updating the mini too. Been searching the different ZTE support pages around the world and downloading some different ROMs. Found a later MM ROM to try before going N. Hoping that is the answer.
Edit: Looks like it's stuck on this very old ROM, the A in the version name is looking like the problem. A for Australia, and no updates for Australia. Booooo!
Can they be recovery forced? But then brick? I guess it would just refuse.
Edit: Did MM B12 update by recovery so got it to global rather than Australia. Now it's on the update road via SD method Going N B13 now, what's the latest I should go that can be rooted ok?
So once I got it away from the really old Aus ROM via recovery to MM B12 it all went very easy. Now on N B16.
For AU$149 new in box, the A7 mini is a bargain!
Guys, I think there's a myth I can dispell straight away between Axon 7 and Axon 7 mini. Having both now, I can tell you straight up, despite both having an AKM DAC the big brother absolutely destroys the mini with 3.5 jack output into a line in device. It's a MUCH louder amp. Could easily drive it's output directly into car hifi amp system without a HU.
Going between the two with a pair of decent 32 ohm buds is not quite as clear cut though, the A7mini has a nice and more balanced, clear sound, decent volume but the A7 still punches harder, it brings more depth into the bottom end so feels bigger and that's how I prefer it.
As to that crazy output to line in devices like a portable speaker with the A7, it's actually a bit too much and have to cut the volume level back at least two steps so for this purpose the mini is more sensible, but if you're driving cans, go A7 every time, especially if they're higher impedance than the normal 32 ohm stuff.
I still like the mini, it's a very nice phone and at the current runout price point nothing else gets near it, especially with that gorgeous AMOLED screen and premium external finish.

Hi. This forum is quiet, but there is a lot of useful things about Axon 7 mini on the Russian 4PDA forum. http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=891109&st=1100#entry85892739
You can just use a google-translated version of this, I suppose.

Thanks for that, I'll have a look when I have some spare time, see if there's anything that takes my interest. I have to decide if I'll mod this phone to a custom ROM as we know it will never get another update from ZTE. Mine is on N B16 so that's end of the line.
I guess the biggest thing is if custom ROMs have the audio performance as good as with stock. I use mine in the car to play music through the 3.5mm jack. Got Next Track app to skip tracks back and forward with screen off by volume rocker. Works well. Sounds pretty good on bluetooth even, because Dolby Atmos does work and combined with gentle equalisation in Poweramp makes for a fairly well defined sound. My headunit doesn't do Hi Res bluetooth so this phone is ideal for the car. Despite the stock headunit, I've built a kick ass hifi off of it.
Liking the A7 Mini, doing much better on battery than expected. It idles quite efficiently. With light use I get it to go for two days on a charge. I ended up taking my personal SIM out of my Axon 7 and put it in the mini. Just my work SIM in the A7 now. That improved battery life on the A7 too.
Considering the better than expected battery range I'm not even looking at rooting or modding it.
Even got my brother an A7 Mini to replace his iPhone 6S which got the latest iOS update and made it useless..... Good one CrApple
