ive looked trough the posts on 495 errors but no solutions worked.
ive just purchased an M8s Pro 912s 7.1.1 20170707 pre rooted
its working great. but getting 495 error from some larger playstore apps
ive downloaded somorost3 211 mb demo worked great loved the game.
Machinarium 236mb ok download but game locked up multiple times
then purchased somorost3 full version
i get error495 on downloading after 265mb downloaded of 849 mb file
ive installed diskinfo and /system is 606mb of 2G available /data 11.6G available
no idea where the files download to. could the issue be the /system being to small?
ive cleared cache done full fact reset nothing works to download larger apps.
loads dead trigger less than 200mb, but dt 2 is 495mb error495
oddworld munc, and strangers both error 495 at over 800mb errors out around 265 mb downloaded
would a change in size of /system fix the problem?
any help would be appreciated , my reg machine is linux mint 18 based laptop no windows machine available so no windows software to fix.

Hi....i was going to format my shift and since i never used the vista recovery option from the bios i downloaded gparted and made a live cd usb and booted it up, deleted every single partition uncluding the hidden one that i could see and in total i had one big unallocated partitionless harddrive which i saved the changes and rebooted.
I then inserted a usb stick with windows 7 on it and proceeded to install, i created a new partititon and windows asked to create that 100mb system reserved and i then proceeded with the installation which took more than twice as long as it has ever done before.
Is this due to my gparted fiddling? Because at the second stage of installation, the unpacking of files it went quick and smooth up to 38% and after that slow as hell, unlike ever before during any version install...
And now that i finally had that part of the installation behind me it proceeded to automatically reboot for the final stage and when it did reboot after the RAM and basic BIOS tests it reported bad SMART status and i pressed F1 to continue and everything resumed as it should...
But I cannot find any settings in the BIOS to turn of the SMART checking so what can I do now?
Did i not delete the MBR? as I thought it would have gone with the partitions...
And why did the installation go so incredibly slow this time?
now I just got a Blue Screen & Ataport.sys message.
Could it really be such bad timing that the computers HDD has started to fail at the same time i deleted the partition or is this a software issue and not a hardware one?
What version of Windows 7?
I accidentally downloaded a RC/ Checked Debug version which had the same problems on an original untouched HDD.
If you are using correct version, then try repartitioning woth another tool liek acronis disk director. Format completely. Reboot, then re-partition , install windows 7 (RTM available tomorrow)

Yesterday I flashed maniac103's latest CM7 build. Before that I used a couple of Euroskank builds, after several months using Quarx/Eppy 7.1-11-11-11.
Today I have run into the Tombstone problem with no free space on the phone. I moved a couple of apps to SD, but the tombstone immediately fills out any empty space that I can create.
I've searched and the general advice is "delete the tombstone file". Great... except I can't find it? When I browse /data there is nothing there. Is this a permissions issue? Any advice on how to solve the problem and prevent it recurring?
I would be extremely grateful for some help, in simple english and with big pictures and chewable pages ideally...
Ok, I have managed to fix it myself. For any other challenged users, here it is
My problem was that the standard file manager could not see anything in /data
I tried using terminal, but equally that would not allow me to do an ls in /data (view a list of the files in /data).
This came down to a permissions issue.
Earlier on I had deleted Adobe Flash player, which seems to be regarded as the root cause of the tombstone problem. However, I still had no free space (at all - 0.00MB available). After removing Flash player, I uninstalled another app (google+ simply because I don't use it and it's big - 22MB). After uninstalling I had 14MB showing free, which allowed me to install Yaffs explorer. This allowed me to browse with superuser enabled - now I could see the contents of /data, and find the /data/tombstones folder, and find the 905MB file that was causing all of the problem. Deleting that file (tombstone_09 in my case) solved the issue.
Hopefully this will be of help to someone equally as clueless as I.
I just had this exact same issue. Inside the tombstone folder I had tombstone_00, tombstone_01, tombstone_02 and tombstone_03. The first 3 were about 60 Kb each, but the fourth one had 885 Mb. Deleted it and it's back to normal.
This is the first time having this issue, I was using CM 7.1 for almost a year and switched to CM 7.2 last month.

Well, the problem has reoccurred, although I now have the tool to fix it.
So my next question...
What causes the problem? How do we stop it happening again?
maniac had been looking into it and told us, that he maybe screwed up on something when he compiled the build that was supposed to fix this issue.
The builds from yesterday on should limit the filesize of tombstones to 1MB correctly.
If it doesn't work, don't blame maniac for this, because it's Adobe's fault. maniac is simply not able to look into code from 3rd party apps.
I also had big tombstones especially when watching flash-videos in the browser. So far they're gone. But you could try to trigger a tombstone that way...

I was just installing NFS Shift, and when it tries to download game data it says "Download in progress... NaN 0 MB of 0 MB" and just hangs there indefinitely. I have had this issue with the sims 3 before, with the stock ROM and a CM7 rom. Right now i'm using twa_priv's Jellybean rom, and edited build.prop to fake the Galaxy Nexus model (this works for Gameloft and other games to run fine).
I purchased Shift from the android market last year, and if my memory serves me right it was working just fine with another ROM.
Any thoughts? I'm kinda lost with this. See attached screenshot.

It's simple, not cracking, no illegal activity.
I bought Modern Combat 3 from Playstore but can't download Sd Data. I have good connection and i download similar sized Gameloft games (Asphalt 6 for example) in 10-15 minutes. After 1h 30 with MC3 i downloaded only 90 mb... battery drain, phone overheating....
After contacting Gameloft who gave me a different apk to download... i still have no luck the same amount.
I have receipe, I have Gameloft emails (which confirm i bought the game legit). So can someone help me with SD card data upload?
It's just stupid to download from cracked sources with the game bought...

Thanks but that's for HD version. Our Defy does not support that. I only need to download 780 mb of data, not the full 1,3 Gb.

I said it only needed because that's what it's showing me when starting download. "You need 789 mb of data"...... If it does not work i will try others.
it does not work. I actually downloaded the whole 1,3 gb and it got erased as soon as i started the game. (it said verifying files), then after it deleted the files it prompted me to download 789 mb again. So can someone upload this please

The links that given on the sites are not working .
It shows " can't establish a connection to the server at ******* "
site is working ok
After i downloaded manually from PC the 1,3 gb (it decompiles as i saw from other games) it just deletes the files and says to download again... If someone can find it or upload it....
It's stored under Sdcard/Android/Data com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftMC3HM

Hello together, I'm searching for a solution since a few days now and i tried many things but none of them fixed my problem.
I got a problem that some of you may had before as well. I once tried to flash LineAgeOS on my LG G2 D802 but it was unsucessful. After i flashed back on Stock Rom i realized that i now just got 10 GB free space, instead of 25 GB. The Phone even shows i got 32 GB but System-Data folder got 21.5 GB.
I tried it with the following instruction: I tried it using the xbin folder, because i wasnt able to copy the files into the bin folder, eventhough i got root access.

Anyway, when i use the command print it first showed on line 36 the 15,7 GB. I did all the other commands, then did a CSE-Flash with D80230D_00.kdz. After that i did a Hard-Reset but my phone did not show the 25 GB free Space.
I tried it again and when i used the print command, it now shows that i got 32 GB on line 36. Anyway did again the CSE-Flash with the same file (which i downloaded from LG due to my IMEI number, so it should defenitly be the right kdz), i did a factory reset again but still no 32 GB.
I don't know whats the problem here. Could it be, that i have to do a normal flash instead of CSE-Flash? Could it be that the CSE-Flash deletes the files in /system/xbin but i need them still for the Factory Reset? Or does a Flash genrally delets all the /system/xbin files?
If anybody got a solution here, i would be very happy, 10 GB is way to less for me

download the kdz. If i download "Lollipop" "32GB" and then flashing my Land kdz "Germany D80230b.kdz" it shows normally 24gb of my 32gb.
Probably youre flashing 16gb Kdz. try the 32gb one
