Google Play Store certification - Xiaomi Redmi 3s Questions & Answers

Hi all,
Just wanted to ask does anyone have play store certified, on any custom ROM?
So I'm not asking about passing safety net
Go to play store > settings > at the bottom

Yes Safety net passed almost in every rom
Flash magisk with rom

For me it's certificated. Flash Magisk, check if Magisk hide is turned on. If not, turn on. Then clear data of Play Store app. After these it has to be certificated.

Play store doesn't let me buy apps

Hi,
I've been trying to buy some apps via play store, but it keeps telling me that there are technical problems...
This is weird, with the same account I've been buying apps on my mobile (Galaxy Nexus)
Anybody help?
PS: Sorry if there is already a thread about this
Did you try Google Play directly from google.com to push the APP to your device??
If your device isn't listed there you may have to delete your account on your tablet and start over.
Thank you for answering
I already tried that and keeps giving me the same error...
I also erased google play store and play services data and cache and nothing happened

Hmm ok, have you tried in installing updates for the play store in the same menu where you clear the data? It might have gotten corrupted.
Thank you for answering I did a factory reset for the second time and it magically fixed itself

Get Google Assistant working on your Device.

If you guys want to try the latest feature of Android 7.1 I.e. The google assistant on your One plus Device so well now you Can.
Prerequisites:- Your phone running android 7.0
Latest google app 6.6.x.x (worked for me.)
Build.prop editor.(better use es FM)
Procedure: 1.Open Es FM
2.Grant all the root permissions and note that the system is set on r/w mode.
3.Go to root.
4.Open System----->Build.prop
5.Edit ro.product.model=Pixel XL and add the line below the model one.
ro.opa.eligible_device=true
(SEE ATTACHMENTS IF CONFUSING)
You r good to go now...Just go and install the latest google app from apk mirror and then clear the data of google app once...Reboot your device.
And voila you now have google assistant on your device.
Thanks to senior member @xda brianelv for this trick.
Thanks man! It's working great
Everything of Google Assistant works fine but...
I can't use the "OK GOOGLE", it doesnt store the voice and asks me every time to say " OK GGOGLE" thrice. Any way to fix it? I am on AICP Nougat ROM . Do anyone have the same problem? If no , tell me. Thanks!

That's Currently not working with any of the phones but is expected to be fixed in the coming update.
Stumbled upon another workaround and got it working on my marshmallow rom dude... Used xposed and an older google app.

Where did you get the google app (Version 6.6.x.x) from? I'm using Open Gapps 7.0, and the version is 6.5.x.x

isnt it better to use Pixel instead of Pixel XL as Pixel has the same resolution and wont have any issues with PlayStore due resolution?
I've tried the settings as per instructions, but can't seem to get Google Assistant to appear. Wondering if i missed out any steps. Is there any particular sequence. Like Google App must be 6.6 upon editing Build.prop?

Thanks for trying to help, I did change that to end of the line.. But no avail
Even after the changes in build.prop the assistant was not working. So i just made the google app into a system app and now it works. "OK Google" detection still doesn't work though i wonder whne it will be fixed

How can I remove carrier installed apps on S8 - Rogers Canada

Hello
I want to uninstall and remove and spotify app which came pre-installed with the phone. I am using S8 on Rogers network in Canada. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Have you tried disabling the apps you don't need? If you haven't, then long press on the shortcut and pick "app info". There you will find disable button(if not grayed out). That is the easiest way off turning off the app which won't show in your apps anymore, but it won't uninstall it.

Thanks for the tip.
However, I have my own apk and wouldn't install saying the system already have file with same name. I can disable but it will not solve my problem. Any work around or ways to remove the preinstalled spotify files?

I have not tried it personally, but check this tread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/debloater-remove-carrier-bloat-t2998294 There could also be other methods/apps that would help.
Try clearing app data than uninstall updates, this can be found in settings/apps.

Unfortunately, there is no app data visible/available for spotify so, cannot delete anything. Also how can you uninstall updates?

Go to apps then click Spotify then click storage then clear data and cache.
If you want to remove the pre installed version you need to be rooted to remove system apps.
The all you have will be the same as the one pre installed. You can always download an updated version.

Still, it doesn't work. I have my own spotify apk which conflicts with the pre-installed one because of same name.

Not if its a hacked version of Spotify.
I see no reason why someone would disable the included Spotify app to load "their own version"
The included app can be updated right from the google play store, so there is no reason someone should be uninstalling it to install a .apk version.
I am on a Rogers S8, so I know this is true.

Thanks for the link to the forum post.
But the problem is - after doing this, the phone restarts and erase everything again and installs all the carrier apps. Is there anyway this can be stopped?
Thanks a lot.
Pull your sim card out and change it to xac.

Will it be different or remain the same when I put the sim back in? My experience is the sim erases everything and install all the carrier apps again.
Thanks

Check out this XDA article. It details instructions to remove apps/packages without root, using ADB. Be super careful doing this or using a package disabler app Like BK Package Disabler or Adhell (which is free)...if you disable the wrong system package you may end up disabling important functions/features.
https://www.xda-developers.com/uninstall-carrier-oem-bloatware-without-root-access/
What you can do is only disable it. That's what I'm doing with texture also and zone. Don't flash XAC if you are still a Rogers user you will loose wificall and Volte.
Only time you can remove it completely is to root. (Not available)
Or flash the XAC but modify the feature file in XAC to add the lines to enable wifi call and Volte. And again not possible cause there is no root yet.
So it takes you back to the 1rst and only option and don't try any even when they claim it uninstall without root(it does not work with Samsung phones )
Just disable it "I think you know how hold the app icon and you see a popup to disable"
If you rebooted the phone , app will not show to show it back enable it again .
When any app is disabled you can't download the app it will tell you it's available unless if it's a higher version.
So if for some reason you want to have a clone " exemple disable original Spotify to download a cracked ) use apk unpacker and change the signature name on the cracked apk.

question on Custom ROMS

So custom ROMs make your device uncertified by Google, but Google has publish a page for you to enter your device code or something to get certified, I wanna know if after getting certified, can apps such as Google Pay, Pokemon Go or Play Games be installed and used?? Thanks
