Hey guys,
I have an Axon 7 A2017 (Chinese) that I have bootloader unlocked, with twrp, root and a MM B29 ROM (A2017U).
To update to Nougat (B32) can I just flash the StockSystem zip in TWRP and be done? or do I have to flash a BootStack? If so how do I know what version of the bootstack to flash since I'm not supposed to flash the US version bootstack and the chinese roms are on different versions
Sorry for the noob questions I just really don't want to brick my device.

So I'm currently on cloudy g3 and have twrp 2.8.5.1. I'm not bumped, I am loki-ed.
I want to install blisspop Rom but it requires 12b bootstack.
My question is how do i know if I have that or not, and what's the difference between a bootstack and a boot loader?
Sorry for the noob question. And thanks for any help
-art
As far as i know, its the same. The 12b its a bootloader for the VS980 variant and some roms are build with this bootstack. So in this case you should flash the specific bootstack before flash blisspop.
Hey there guys,i wonder if i can flash the cyanogenmod 13 from 4.4.2 stock for my model (d805).
i read some guides and i found this from here http://androiding.how/lg-g2-cm13-marshmallow-rom/

no i think you must be on a lollipop rom. then you can.
so if you are in kitkat, you need
kitkat rooted and twrp installed and updaate twrp with
i recomend thermal twrp from blastagator 28.7.3 dont use newer.
then install this boostacks fo your variant
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/lg-g2-bootstacks-t3173715
and find a flashable kdz 5.0.2 rom for you variant check you variant thread. install.
once you in LP then same root phone, use autorec from playstore for your variant, update twrp to 2.8.7.3
then install the boostacks you had before. reboot into recovery from recovery, then flash rom and thats it. also gapps. i think thats how you should do it.
Hi guys,
my Oneplus TWO is totally stock (no ROOT, nor Recovery, locked bootloader).
I just want to ask how could I "convert" it to original HydrogenOS, with working OTA feature.
Is there any procedure to follow? Is it possible or I need to unlock IT and flash a custom HydrogenOS firmware?
Edit:
Fist unlock the booloader, easy step.
Download specific OxygenOS 3.0 TWPR and SuperSU available here:
- [ROM][OTA][Oxygen OS] Mirrors for official Oxygen OS ROMs and OTA updates
Install Recovery and SuperSU.
So now you are able to flash any firmware.

Thanks for your reply.
So, I just need to unlock my phone, install TWRP compatible with MM (link) and follow instruction for HydrogenOS.
But, as I understood, OTA is not available.

If you don't flash the Debloater+SuperSU zip you may get OTAs but you won't have root and you'll have a pile of Chinese apps.
I don't really get why OTA updates are so important anyway.

If you are in H2OS and that there is an update you will need to flash the full rom(if you are root) it's recommended to clean flash if you flash a full rom but you can use titanium backup otherwise i think dirty flash full rom will be fine
Hi, mission completed!
I've unlocked bootloader.
I used specific OxygenOS 3.0 TWPR and SuperSU available here:
- [ROM][OTA][Oxygen OS] Mirrors for official Oxygen OS ROMs and OTA updates
So I was able to flash HydrogenOS!
Thanks guys.

I must flash bootstack before ?
And the root and TWRP ?
How do I know which bootloader do I have? I'm currently running build B35.
Can someone direct me to a thread how to flash universal bootloader and modem?
If I use bkores flash toolkit, it said you have to flash universal bootloader, modem along with Rom and Gapps but in which order?
If using twrp for future flash do I need to flash universal bootloader and modem every time I switch ROM?
I'm not an expert but here's what I understand.
1. You don't have to worry which version you have unless you're flashing a custom ROM, usually for Nougat you want the B15 and for Oreo you want the B35.
2.Universal Bootloader>Modem>ROM>GApps>Magisk/SuperSU
3.You only need to flash it once if you're switching ROMs with the same android version.

If you haven't you need to unlock your bootloader before you can start flashing custom ROM. You can find a guide on how to do it here.
