Hello,
With DP5 (it was the same on DP4), after a while (it can be a day or an hour), some of the phone sensors stop working: no auto-rotation and no ambient display. Reboots fix the issue until it happens again.
The improvment between DP4 and 5 is that auto-brightness is not affected by the bug anymore.
I saw some threads on reddit and other sites about the issue and a few android bug reports but quite nothing on XDA except on thread with 1 reply.
Some Android dev had replied on a bug report that this is a known bug and that the fix was ready for the next update (ie DP5) but the bug is still there.
So do you also have the issue? Any ideas where it comes from?
Some people believe it's Pokemon GO-related, what do you think?
Thanks
(I know that most of people play Pokemon GO anyway so this could mean nothing but issue started on DP4 it seems, and Pokemon GO released when quite everybody had switched to DP4.)

Seeing how it's not an official release it is just speculation by the dev that a fix would be pushed by preview 5. For whatever reason that was not achievable. The official release is more likely going to be aimed at fixing as much of the current known issues as possible.
Hi Guys, I bought Moto X style for my wife to replace her Moto G 2nd gen. After setting up and installing all the OTG updates I popped in jio(4G only network) in primary sim slot & airtel in 2nd slot + 64gb Evo plus sd card. While started using the phone I found an annoying issue, LTE signal drops for 20 seconds or so and gets reconnected automatically, It happened atleast thrice during the 1.5 hours period I used that device.
Is this common issue for this device (or) marshmallow update?
Is there any known fix?
Will a factory reset fix the issue?
Will it be related to hardware? Should I ask for replacement device?
My phone has the same issue with Jio. Moto G3 has a rock solid connection where as the Moto style frequently disconnects.
Resetting did not help me. I read many other users facing the same issue. Hope this issue gets fixed when the phone gets updated to N.

Thanks for the reply @makarand1881 . So, this issue is related to Jio network + Moto x Style combo? Any other Jio user don't have this issue?
Need to fixes network problem for my Moto x style
Im facing this same problem... Back in 2017 i was using swipe elite plus, this phone doesn't come with VOLte but some developers made VOLte to this phone , i remembered i was facing the same problem just like my Moto x style after that i found one guy from youtube he share me a file around 400kb only it fixed all problem. Now im going to try that for my Moto x style if its possible...
Has anyone noticed this? I haven't messed with any power settings, is stamina doing this? I like to just keep Bluetooth on.
Thanks!
I have been having this issue too, and it seems related to either updating to 7.1.1 (which seems to have borked other phones bluetooth also) or setting up my LG Watch Urbane on it. The most annoying part is using a headset and having it drop in the middle of a call.
Since I have this phone stock and locked I can't update to 7.1.2 to see if that fixes it. Anyone with 7.1.2 having this issue?
@damage98 do you have a watch connected to it?

I´ve started a thread in the sony mobile forum, maybe it could help if you would also give feedback on that thread...
https://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xper...act-even-in-latest-firmware/m-p/1211177#M1463
It seems that this known bug is fixed in android 7.1.2 but i´m not sure if we get that update...for me, sony service says that it´s a hardware fault but as far as i know a replacement device would also have that problem...
Hello everyone,
I am experiencing serveral bugs with my moto g4 (XT1622) with Nougat 7.0 installed.
The following bugs am I experiencing:
- Mobile network unstable (which drains battery); see attached screenshot
- Cell broadcast messages not coming in (probably due to unstable network)
- Bluetooth doesn't pair 2 phones otgether (disconnects)
- Screen burn issue/ghost images
Are there other users experiencing the same?
Kind regards,
Robin Nieuwenhuis
Here the screenshot of the mobile network struggle
Green is when I applied a temporary fix, switching airplane mode on and off.
This topic can be closed, as I made a new better one.
It is advisable to install oreo??
Yes it is. Some users report minor issues. But overall its stable build.
P.S. i havent heard the hissing sound. Tried few good enough headphones no hissing sound but just to be safe i completely avoid confronting it with Bluetooth headphones

From professional point of view:
When is it advisable to install anything with release number #.0.0?
First releases are close to always known to include some wrinkles that needs to be ironed out...
Personal point of view:
What a heck, it's a phone. Just go for it!

confirming no more hissing sound
What about the issues?
Bluetooth battery drain, Partial "do not disturb" tile, no fingerprint gestures, slow camera app, decreased battery life, 4G and Wifi connectivity problems, App crashes and reboots?
Also, is Pictire in Picture working? I know YouTube app requires a Red subscription and many people aren't aware of that, but are others such as Google Maps navigation etc. working with PiP?
Can someone please post their battery stats?

Please dont take only my opinion as confirmation. Since few user has reported that issue is still there.
Thanks
my device just received an oreo download package this afternoon on Januari 3rd 2018
-never used bluetooth (nor will I ever turned bluetooth or wifi ALWAYS ON)
-finger prints just fine
-camera app is also fine
-battery life.. as for the moment being, from what I gather it's not that different compared when on nougat with december patch
-4G just awesome
-no app crashes nor reboot (at the moment)
so if you're in doubt, then don't download the oreo update.. waiting for a later time frame, maybe
if you're confident, then do it

Go for it. There is bug in oreo that it show worng battery consumption. Its random behaviour on different phone. In some mobile Bluetooth draining battery in some RCS and in some other. Actually it is bug in battery statistics not in power consumption. Overall battery life increased in oreo ...
I easily get 6:30+ SOT :good:
No more force close issue for me. The gesture is removed by Google in AOSP so we never get it in OREO. Camera is still slowwww. No 4G or wifi connectivity issue.. And PIP is working in modded youtube perfectly and in vlc ( I don't try other app).
Overall worthy to upgrade..
Srry for bad English and writing

ok, I have installed Oreo and I am satisfied, I have not had any serious problems yet, it feels fluid and better than expected that everything I have read. Thanks for the opinions of all, hopefully new patches solve the problems.!!
Everything is fine. But my phone randomly rebooted once. Not sure why. It was like a soft reboot. It was quick. Other than that, Outlook app crushes. Not sure it's the problem of the rom or the app itself.
Battery life is amazing as before.
I would wait.
There are serious bugs and rendering issues and lots of app compatibility problems. Also slower 4g and ghost notification.
In hindsight I would have waited but curiosity got the better of me!
This is not a stable release.
It looks like many of "issues" reported are happening to users who forced the Oreo update by clearing Google Framework data.
Any idea when will the Oreo update be re released?
Running Oreo since weeks. No issues here . I did a factory reset after upgrading to Oreo. . Since weeks its runs fine... Very happy with Oreo
