hi everyone i just got my 2nd handset with the original t-mobile rom on it ,i havent flashed it yet because i know alot of people on this forum asking for the original rom ,,,so if anyone can let me know within a couple of days how to dump the original rom so i can upload it here please let me know but hurry as i said i cant wait to remove it

If this is the UK Ameo ROM and someone can extract it and upload it somewhere, I will make another donation to the Black Touch fund as an incentive.

yes its the t-mobile ameo rom original untouched so i will leave it on the device until someone can show me how to extract it ,,i have left the device in its box until someone can show me hopefully soon please as i need to use this device within a month so i wont flash it till then please get back to me asap as i see theres alot of people waiting for this official rom from t-mobile uk
Had a bad upgrade and i need the original o2 rom to get me back on track. Normally i'd get it from the xda ftp, but it doesnt seem to be there anymore?!?

managed to sort my uni with mtty and a tomal rom, but would still like to know what happened to all the original roms??

well is no one going to answer???? Ive already read a msg from a senior member sugesting to someone to reinstall an original rom after a bad flash, but no answer on where to find one ?!!???
come on peeps,people are going to muller their uni's unless they can get these original shipped roms.

Aha yes the o2 original is in there, thanks for your help.
A friend of mine just got his HD2 on O2 and I suggested he flash his rom to 1.66.
Is this possible to do and also possible to flash back to the generic O2 rom in case he needs to send the phone back to O2?
Does he need to back up the O2 rom and how or is it available to download somewhere?
Finally I believe he should use either hard SPL or soft SPL if he wants to revert to O2 rom but can't remember which.
Any leads or advice appreciated.
perfectly possible.go find the"official roms"thread, first post first link look in 1.43 section for the file with o2 in the name, that is your stock rom for backup.put that somewhere safe, then go read the several hspl threads to learn how to flash.
If your phone's working then you can easily flash it back to factory ROM, but if it's working why would you want to send it back for repair anyway?
That said, NoClue are very poor when it comes to supporting the products they happily take significant amounts of cash each month from you bank account for, so it would not be unreasonable in the eyes of "the average man" if you updated your phone with the firmware provided directly from the hardware manufacturer.
