Hello folks,
I am having an issue that I just can't figure out.
Using the standard apps, when I get texts, no notification sounds are made but I get all text notification as just the cards.
I tried both Wear Messenger and Messages for Android (also called Wear Messages). Here is where my issue comes into play. All text notification makes the sound I set, all except for one. One single contact when using either Wear Messenger or Messages for Android just does not show up. It doesn't even show a card for that text. I have tried everything I can think of, reset the watch, deleted the contact and readded it. I am at a lose at this point on what could be causing this one contact text to not notify me via the watch. When the contact calls that works fine and I can answer a call from them. BTW, the watch is a Fossil Q Founder runner the current Android Wear version.
Normally just for one contact I would just say screw it....but it's my girlfriend. So I would like to have the notification show up on the watch when she texts me. Any ideas?

I want to say that's in the settings - SMS Delivery. This bugged me as well and I think that's how I fixed it.
Can't you just create a filter to automatically mark them as read, and move them to a folder?
You likely already found your answer, but I found this thread searching for a solution.
For anyone else out there wondering, if you open the DeskSMS app on the phone, you can simply disable all email/talk push notifications.
The hangouts application is my preferred way to SMS and text. When I receive a message, I receive a notification like I should. After I open the hangouts app and then engage in further conversation, I get a notification sound after each message I receive although I am still chatting to the person. The notification sound rings with each incoming message weather I am in the application, within the very chat, or weather I am on the homescreen or anywhere else. The only way I've known to subdue it is by turning off the sound notification for hangouts messages completely.
I've had this problem since 4.4.0 update. Today after I flashed Lollipop I was expecting it to go away but it didn't. I thought about it and then decided to ask if anybody else have had the problem before.
Something I strongly suspect is when I cleared the "Google services Framework" in hopes of getting 4.4.0 OTA ASAP I might have messed up. At that time this was suggested by many websites which later turned out to be counter helpful and create problems with the GCM.
So, if anybody knows how it could be fixed, and I could get notifications in the normal way it would be much helpful.
Thank you.
When I get an incoming text on my lg g smartwatch (cheapest one) it just notifies me of a list of texts. If I swipe to the left goes to my agenda not a list of the texts. So I have no way to read incoming texts. Very frustrating. Reinstalled google voice. That too only gave lists of incoming texts before it stopped working entirely. Is there anyway to get the body of an incoming text on the watch face. This worked well on my broken qualcolm toq and somewhat less well on my tizen samsung galaxy gear (tiny font, only a few words, do they cloister their i.t. department in a monestary so they have no contact with end users). No wonder Apple is eating everyones lunch.
Hello everyone,
I have this issue where only one contact does not show up in my vehicle with uconnect on the display when i get a text. Every other contact i receive txt from pops up except this one.
Cant figure out why. My phone and other phone are both S7E and share 1 google email address. Primarily because contacts where saved on tje other. I have set up but turned off sync as i dont want those contacts. Could it woth something to do with that. If i txt myself i get he text alert and even my worh iphone.
Not sure if this is the correct place to post this but I've had this problem with my Moto360 on Android Wear & the Tizen Gear S3 so here goes.
There's a really irritating issue where a notification arrives on the phone or watch & the corresponding app opens automatically on the phone.
I can be reading an email on the phone when a text arrives & the messaging app automatically opens & displays the text message.
Anyone know how to stop this?

Open the Samsung Gear app
Go to Settings
Go to Notifications
Scroll to the last option called "Smart Relay" and turn it off
Thanks! That sorted it.
Do you know how I can still get notifications on the phone & gear?
