Bro the kernel source is released for the cool 1 . I'm a new member here so I couldn't share the link.

We start work by fixin libs/bins... like a port.
But now we are compiling from source.
My own version have:
Sound fixed.
Sensors fixed (All five sensor work now).

Respected Developers there is a phone known as motorolla G4 play which has the same chipset snapdragon 410 and they have ported and successfully booted android O.

I'm using the stock marshmallow firmware rooted via magisk v23 but failed to pass safetynet.
Successfully installed Dolby Atmos and viper4fx and xposed for hiding red statusbar.
