think they were tlkn bout video capture instead of screen capture and i dont think they have an app for that that would be cool though for adding rom videos to youtube

The recorded video quality is much more better then in preview screen.

Hi there. I recently installed cyanogeonmod9 on my Xperia play and I found that
No form of video was able to play! I couldn't watch YouTube videos from the app and website and I couldn't even watch videos I recorded with the camera! Please help....

You do know there are bugs in CM9 right? For YouTube player, you have to use the kernel included.

Is that the FreeXperia Kernal? Because I used that.....

It was fixed in the last update (FXP115). Just to be sure, use their kernel.

I updated and used their kernal but the video player still isn't working

Boy I feel stupid, I put on the updated ROM and it still didn't work. Today I tried flashing the kernal that came with the updated ROM and now the video player works! THANK YOU SO MUCH

How to play YouTube video in background on CM9/P500? I can't find any app that makes that! D:
Maybe we need flash for background reproduction? If yes, anyone managed to run cooked flash app with ICS?

Super video on play store lets u do just that ... u open up on youtube any video ( some wont work for copytight infrigment) then u click on the share button n choose super video n u can play on background send txts anything while playing ... hope that helps

Not working for me D:
When i minimize the player, or lock the screen, it stop playng the song from youtube. Do you have flash player installed on your device?

No it stops even with flash or not just tested this .. its meant to play on top i turned screen off n it stops ... just drag it all the way down instead of minimizing ull still be able to hear songs n do whatever

Wait, i just take a better look at the settings menu and i found the option Keep Play for locked screen! It seems to work

We couldn't, flash player for O1 isn't supported from Adobe. We need a cooked version of it, but atm no one of the existing cooked version works on ICS D:

Well im in the US and flash still works fine for now but they will discontinue it untill the 15 of this month after that no more installs from play store .. so i guess well need the latest .apk to continue installs .. but most sites will need to.implement html5 so we wont really need it

Yes, on cm9 O1.
When you open the video there would be a add to playlist option at top. Use it and then play from playlist, only music will play.

I will try it again later. There's non problem, if i look for a background player it's perfect if it plays only music!

As mentioned in the title, assuming video I am watching support 1440p, how do I select it in YouTube??
Every single video listed as 1440p are showing in 720p only.

The current version of Youtube won't allow it. To do so you have to remove this version (Requires root unfortunately!) then install the version from this thread and stop Youtube auto updating.

You can download third party camera apps for the playstore that ¡might! Open the 1080p option. But it also may be a hardware limitation, I'm sure the camera sensor is capable of it but if it isn't activated in the processor then it won't work
