Hello:
I have a Huawei Nova Plus with Emui 5 Android 7 B350.
I have the Bootloader unlocked and TRWP installed.
I have installed the .xml file in the PERMISSION folder, I have given the 644 xml file and it is not recognized by the gyroscope.
I've made it work with xposed, but I'm not interested in having the root phone.
When uninstalling root, xposed stops working ...
Any way to emulate the gyroscope without having root? I can install zip files
Greetings and thanks.

Hello, I'm on the latest 6.0.1 stock. I've used Nexus Root Toolkit to unlock my bootloader, root (SuperSU), and flash TWRP. I flashed Xposed using the Xposed installer. Now I'm looking to get AdAway up and running. I've done some searching and I see some conflicting reports about whether this needs to be done systemless, and how to get it working. Stuff I've heard is:
1. Just install the apk from XDA and install normally, update hosts, and you're good.
2. Install apk, use a program (like Titanium Backup) to make it a system app, update hosts, done.
3. Install apk, flash some sort of AdAway package in TWRP, update hosts, done.
4. Install apk, do some adb process to create a symlink of some sort, update hosts, done.
5. I haven't heard anyone really mention it, but in Preferences I see an option to "Enable systemless mode" which I haven't seen anyone really mention.
Can someone tell me which way I need to use, please?
>>> I also saw someone say that I need to use a file explorer after updating hosts to manually switch the permissions of the hosts file, in order to improve performance. Can anyone tell me if this is accurate, and if so how to do it?
Thanks!

Hello... Just allow SU permission, tic "enable systemless mode" in preferences if you use systemless Root. Tap on "disable" next to the red cross and let it download the new host. When prompted, reboot. Done...
Never seen anything about setting extra permissions... I don't read the XDA thread anyway and downloaded the app from here: https://f-droid.org/repository/browse/?fdid=org.adaway
Cheers...

Download this: https://goo.gl/6yDDgq
go to /system/priv-app, create empty folder named "Pixel Launcher" and give 0644 permission. Then put downloaded apk into this folder and give 0644 permission to apk.
Reboot and you have Pixel Launcher :good:
this one is Pixel Launcher "Black Edition", i prefer this because black is battery friendly
Do you need root to do this? I can't find the folder /system/priv-app at all on my phone...
Hi guys i have a problem with busybox, the phone is basically new, i have it since some days. I rooted with magisk, installed twrp and some basic app but kept the stock OOS 4.5.8. Then in order to install V4A i tried to install busybox but installation fail.. "try to a different location" it say. So i gave root to es file explorer and permission r/w to system, checked the system folder, 2.76 used space of 2.88gb (how the hell is possible? only 129mb available), permission are marked rwx r-x r-x. The xbin folder has 3.69mb total file so even there's few space it should be enough. I see a thread of arise sound system as alternative but in the info say that require 300 mb of free space in the system folder which i don't have in my brand new phone.. what i'm missing?
If I'm not wrong, Busybox is not compatible with Magisk. Among other reasons, because Magisk has already integrated its own version of Busybox so, you don't need to install it.

You should try to install the Busybox by osm0sis, look his thread with all utils : here
I had the same problem when trying to install it with the Stericson BusyBox Pro app that has always worked before.
The solution I found was to use another BusyBox install app in the Play Store to install that version then Stericson installed just fine.
So I'd recommend just trying a different BusyBox installer in the Play Store if one doesn't work. I'm using Magisk with it too and all works well (passes SafetyNet)...

The latest Magisk version (14.6) which has received quite a revamp thanks to @topjohnwu finally works easily and like a charm on our devices.
I'm running the stock rom with advanced stock kernel and haven't been able to get Magisk running.
Until now.
I gave it another shot after I had heard about the many changes in 14.6 and so installed the Magisk Manager again, flashed the zip and can now finally enjoy Pokemon GO on a rooted Z2.
Thought I'd share this
Edit: I have to dim my enthusiasm a little.
I could flawlessly install it and it marks it as installed. When apps ask for root permission, I can grant it and the apps recognize the root permission too ...
but something seems a little odd. my ES file explorer won't write in my root folder, Titanium won't uninstall system apps, and Greenify also doesn't work properly ...

this is the message inside of magisk manager when i try to install with recommended way. but i have root after flashing zip not showing anything else in the app not magisk hide not modules etc
ant solution?
I do not quite understand what you want, but I think I understand some of it. You want to install a new version of magic and can not do it from the magic app, it was properly understood. If it was I can help. Try using another file explorer if you need to patch for it, or download the zip file and install it from recovery.
i have tried all when flashing the latest magisk the manager doesnt recognize the version but i have root rights nor appears su hide modules etc in the manager
Im running a 6.0 Custom ROM and noticed Magisk isnt working well but does give me SU access. I you need to run an earler version of Magisk (16?) in order to run it smoothly.
