I rooted my device recently nd lost the functionality of samsung pay.. can somebody guide me how to get samsung pay work on rooted s7 edge
Once the knox has been marked, this function will never work again, since a fuse is physically marked only for that purpose. You should have researched well before root, only here in xda in practically all the tutorials that involve root, there is this warning.
try downloading and installing Magisk. It will help hide the fact that your phone is rooted.
Android pay or your banks mobile app should work as they are not integrated into the rom like samsung pay.

Hi, I am having some trouble rooting my device and a friend suggested I try here. : ) I have tried using several programs on my own, which probably wasn't the best way to go about it since I'm not particularly technically savvy. My attempts to use KingRoot, Kingo ROOT, and towelroot were futile. They all resulted in a similar message being that my device isn't supported or something like that. I am hoping there is some other quick and simple way to root my phone without a custom recovery or anything along those lines. I don't know about all these sorts of things and don't want to try anything too complex. I also want to try and root my phone without voiding my warranty if possible, but I know it's not likely. I am hoping someone can help me find an easy solution. It would be much appreciated. : )

i am also looking for a method to gain root, unlock bootloader, debloat, and unlock network.
unfortunately it seems developers have not bothered to work on android 6.0+ marshmallow for the galaxy s5.
after all the phone is now almost 3 years old now and they're likely spending their efforts to work on newer phones and devices.
Already tried CF-AutoRoot? its in developing thread, works in mm
The Verizon S5 has its own dedicated forum. Check there.

Verizon hasn't released Android 7 to the S7/S7 Edge yet.
There hasn't been any official word from Verizon on when they plan on releasing Android 7, but search for any information about it, a lot of different sites seem to think it's going to be sometime in March.
As for the root / unroot question, if KNOX was tripped during the rooting process, you may not be able to install the OTA update.
You might be able too using different software, which you should be able to find by searching the forum.
A handy tool to check of the CSC and KNOX were tripped or now, install the.

If it comes back saying Warranty Valid, then you should be able to install 7 no problem.
If it comes back saying Warranty Invalid, then you will probably need to wait until it's available for manual download.

That's great. The 935t is T-mobile. We have the 935v, which is Verizon. Which is what he was asking about.
