Bricked - please help ! - OnePlus 5 Questions & Answers

I accidently formated everything in twrp and ended without OS and was stuck in custom twrp. I tried to flash stock recovery and that went ok. Now whatever i do i cant sideload stock zip file using adb. Fastboot is recognized but adb is not. When connected to pc shows error. I have tried to install, reinstall all sorts of drivers but all the same. Is there a way to get back to stock using fastboot commands manualy? Please help !!

Use fastboot to flash twrp again and then flash the stock rom. You can transfer the stock rom to the device by connecting it to your PC while being in TWRP.

You mean stock twrp or custom because i have stock but when connected i cant copy files on device because it is not recognized by PC

Del.

TWRP is always a custom recovery. What you currently have is the stock oxygen OS recovery. Flash TWRP again and boot into twrp. Then, while being in TWRP, conmect your phone to PC.

Finaly i did it after a few hours of trying to find a solution and figuring out why my PC doesn't recognize phone in adb I tried on an old PC with win7 installed and sideload went smooth like butter on first attempt. I have tried on two computers with win10 installed, tried with all sorts of USB cables, usb on computer 3.0 , 2.0, tried all sorts of drivers and nothing helped. I hope that someone else will have a benefit of this post and sort of a solution if he will have the same issue. Thanks to everyone that tried to help out!

[Q] hours for searching for nothing help plz!

I ****ed up my phone today I did full wipe (formatted internal storage too, so i can't flash any rom in recovery because there is nothing) and now i've been searching hours someone who can help me? In TWRP i can't mount anything to my pc (i do not know why?) AND adb says me "devices not found" or something like that so can't push any zip-file to my phone via adb sideload. Is there any way to reapir my phone? can someone help me? Thanks alot!
There was a bug in a bunch of recent twrp releases that causes adb to not work in recovery. Patched versions have been made, try finding one for your device.
Added:
If you can't find a patched version, flash cwm or philz recovery with fastboot, adb is working on both of those. You just need a rrcovery image and do
"fastboot flash recovery <recovery-file>.img"
In fastboot mode.
let's try it out!

See the edit to my first response. Fastboot is done in fastboot mode, not recovery, so you should be good. You just need the basic .img file of cwm or philz recovery.
If you are on win 7 try this:
http://adbdriver.com/downloads/
(Adb driver installer)
Run it when you turn adb sideload on in G2 and connect it to PC.
If it fails you still can go buy somewhere USB OTG cable (few bucks) and flash ROM from usb stick like me.
It appears that accessing fastboot pn the lg g2 is not so simple. Sorta like samsung phone deal, where a manufacturer download is used instead. From what I gather, recovery might need to be wiped to access fastboot, which you could do from terminal in twrp, but thats risky. Apparently, a lot of people have gotten stuck in fastboot mode. Best bet would be to reflash stock firmware through lg download mode. Also see this thread for a method to return to stock firmware:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
Once you are back to stock, just reroot and flash revovery, etc.
downloadmode should still work. go back to any kdz for your version
also source and versions post next time

Stuck on TWRP without a system to boot to.

Hi, I wanted to return my g2 to stock rom because I didn't like my custom rom, so I followed the lg flash tool guide(tot):http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
It worked, but it was jelly bean 4.2 instead of Kit kat 4.4, so I tried to install TWRP so that I can install again a custom rom, but when I tried to backup before flashing TWRP, it wrote "backup Failed", I tried again and it wrote it again, but then the phone just stayed on the boot animation for a few seconds and didnt turn on again. After that, again I tried to do the flash tool method just to return to stock rom but now, it just doesn't work, whenever I insert the DLL and TOT file and start the installation, it goes up to 80% extremely quick and just boots up to TWRP without actually installing the stock rom. So now I'm stuck here with TWRP but without a system to boot to and no rom on my sd card to flash.
I really need help here because I have no idea how to continue.
Thanks for any help!

You could load the zip you want to flash to a USB drive, then connect it to your phone with an OTG cable. TWRP can read from OTG.
Can you get into download mode? (phone off, hold up volume, insert USB cable connected to computer)

I just tried to do it through an OTG cable, it said that it flashed successfuly, but when I restarted it just went back to TWRP without booting up the system. Also, when I tried to wipe dalvik and cache, it said "wipe failed.". When I rebooted it said "It seems that the device is not rooted"... I really don't know what to do now And I can get to download mode.

Can you get ADB connectivity from within TWRP if you connect your device to the PC?
If so you could do the following command from your computer.
Code:
adb push ROM.zip /sdcard/Download/
Then navigate to your /sdcard/Download folder and flash the ROM.

TWRP should detect your phone without the need for ADB sideload.
If I boot into TWRP, I can instantly run "adb devices" from the terminal my phone is picked up as a "device".
If I choose ADB Sideload, my TWRP hangs just like yours does, but if I run another "adb devices" command my device shows up in sideload mode, regardless of it hanging.
Conclusion, try running the adb commands without running sideload in the first place.
Edit: Upon reflection, this is most likely because I have created an RSA key between the PC and my phone.

Did you wiped absolutely everything before flashing? Do you have previous Nandroid backup you can just flash. Anyway if you connect your phone to PC while in TWRP what does your PC show. Anything?

I tried to wipe but it just wrote "wipe failed". I do have a back up on my computer but for some reason when I try to connect my phone to my computer through an OTG cable, it doesn't find the backup. And my pc doesn't show anything when I connect my phone.

OS gone, won't boot. TWRP recovery but can't copy ROM!

So I seem to have wiped/formatted completely through TWRP and it wiped out the original stock rom, so I have absolutely no OS...
I can still get to bootloader and TWRP Recovery, but USB OTG won't mount no matter how many times I try to connect it (which I need to install the downloaded ROM)
I was hoping I could copy the rom via ADB command but it won't recognize the device with 'adb devices'. It does however recognize when I do "fastboot devices"
What should I do? I think since it wiped out the OS, my device no longer is able to run in USB Debugging mode... how could I load the ROM onto my device?
IF you download the WUG toolkit, you can flash the ROM .img files in Fastboot mode (Boot/System/Recovery/Cache etc).

Phone bricked?

Hello. I flashed TWRP and then LineageOS onto my Mi 9T. I didn't like it too much so I started downloading the global rom. In preparations to reflash the stock rom, I wiped the phone from TWRP and then turned the phone off until it was completed downloading. I was planning to install the ROM through OTG, but when I tried to go into recovery, nothing happens and I go back to boot screen. I tried reflashing TWRP with adb, but it seems I forgot to turn USB debugging back on when I was transferring files. What can I do now? Is my phone bricked?
No it's not bricked.
Just flash fastboot rom and then
Flash twrp again ,free to do any job

The "USB debugging" you're talking about assumes there's a running OS on your system. It's not applicable here. Boot into fastboot and see if the phone is recognized. If yes, you're good. Flash twrp via fastboot then boot into recovery and go from there with removing old files and flashing new rom
Thanks for the help everyone. I found a v 10.3.6 fastboot rom and was able to get phone working again.

Nokia 6.1 installed TWRP problems since

Hello,
I recently tried to degoogle my phone with Lineage and twrp. It's been a bit of a brick wall. Long story short i'm stuck in twrp. It boots into recovery fine from that. Everything else is DOA. When I plug it in the pc recognizes it and I can see my storage. I run adb devices and it comes up. When I reboot to bootloader I see download as I should on the phone screen and I hear it connect to the pc. Then that's it, it doesn't show up as storage or when I run adb of fastboot commands. I fairly certain TWRP F'd this all up. I have the recovery image for lineage but like I said nothing gets done.
So the question is, is it totally bricked or is there a soulotion I haven't found yet?
Thanks for the listen.
Some LineageOS build working with own recovery so you can try to flash with LineageOS recovery via sideload option...

First of all flash LineageOS recovery on fastboot mode then restart to LineageOS recovery & flash LineageOS rom via adb sideload...
Everything you will do even working fastboot mode...
A/B partition system is caused whole problem so this is only the method to flash custom rom...
As I said this has been the whole problem. I boot back to bootloader where It says Download Mode. When I try to flash the recovery image this is what I get.
C:\Users\rpwor\NexusTools>fastboot flash recovery lineage-18.1-20210831-recovery-PL2.img
< waiting for any device >
And there it sits never to move again. Now do you understand what i'm dealing with?
The problem might be the recovery image you want to flash as it's for a Nokia 6.1 (PL2) not Nokia 6.1 Plus (DRG).
If your device is actually a Nokia 6.1, then you could try the `Install Recovery Ramdisk` option in TWRP, under `Advanced`.
