X829: cannot enter recovery, cannot boot - LeEco Le Max 2 Guides, News, & Discussion

My LeEco Max 2 has issue that cannot boot, here is symptom:
1, Vol- & power can enter fastboot mode, in fastboot mode seems all operations are correct.
For example:
C:\adb>fastboot oem device-info
...
(bootloader) Device product name: [le_x2_whole_netcom]
(bootloader) Device tampered: false
(bootloader) Device unlocked: true
(bootloader) Device critical unlocked: true
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: false
(bootloader) Serial console enabled: false
(bootloader) Serial hw output enabled: true
(bootloader) Display panel:
OKAY [ 0.091s]
finished. total time: 0.094s
Flash recovery:
C:\adb>fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
target reported max download size of 536870912 bytes
sending 'recovery' (58236 KB)...
OKAY [ 1.884s]
writing 'recovery'...
OKAY [ 0.404s]
finished. total time: 2.303s
And I can boot tWRP or stock recovery by [fastboot boot xxx.img] --> by this method entering tWRP, I can flash LineageOS or Cuoco 26S etc ROM zip
2, By Vol+ & Power , I cannot enter recovery. It shows "entering recovery..." then black screen
3, If I do normal boot (with LineageOS or Cuoco26S flashed), screen says you are not running Lecco official firmware, please go to service to flash official ROM, then power off after a few sec
It looks to me recovery is not properly flashed, and original stock recovery is erased for some reason ? but in fastboot it shows flashing OKAY. What's wrong ?

Reflash unbrick Rom and retry. Tutorial in this subforum.

if you tried with version 3.1.1.1, do use version 3.1.1.0 instead.
Newest version does not work on every device.

Yes, the version of twrp 3.1.1-1 makes my x829 enter the EDL mode with the blue led. Even though I was able to put the phone in bootloader mode and install version 3.1.1-0

OnePlus Two - Unable to unlock OEM

Hello all,
I recently bought a OnePlus 2 and attempted to root it. I can only remember trying to root it with a locked bootloader (which caused the OnePlus startup to hang). Eventually, I put the OS back in. Now, in a second attempt to root my phone, the first step was to unlock the bootloader. Every time I type "fastboot oem unlock" it brings me back to TWRP. When boot back into fastboot and check device info, I get this:
(bootloader) Device tampered: false
(bootloader) Device unlocked: false
(bootloader) Device is_verified: false
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: false
(bootloader) Display panel:
(bootloader) console_locked: 1
(bootloader) exec_console_unconsole: 0
OKAY [ 0.070s]
finished. total time: 0.070s
Also, attempting to flash any recovery (or any other command) returns this:
target reported max download size of 536870912 bytes
sending 'recovery' (22032 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.719s]
writing 'recovery'...
FAILED (remote: device is locked. Cannot flash images)
finished. total time: 0.742s
Any suggestions? I've tried searching so many different threads all over Google.
Files that I have available to use: stock recovery, TWRP recovery, latest full ROM from OPT
Follow this guide:
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/...wrp-root-nandroid-efs-backup-and-more.345478/
I already tried this guide. The phone is fully functional. I just cannot unlock the bootloader.
Every time I type "fastboot oem unlock" it brings me back to TWRP.

How did you install TWRP if the bootloader is locked? Did you install TWRP previously and re-lock the bootloader?
I have no idea. I think so. But it's fine I somehow managed to unlock the bootloader (finally). I just found out that OxygenOS 3.1.0 doesn't allow root.

Unable to OEM unlock. No recovery. No root. What do?

My op2 is running Oxygen Os v.3.0 [A2003]. The problem i'm having is my device doesn't have recovery. I tried to flash recovery but couldn't unlock oem. fastboot oem unlock gives the below message:
E:\Android\OP2>fastboot oem unlock
...
OKAY [ 0.000s]
finished. total time: 0.000s
Click to collapse
But when I run fastboot device-info it gives the below message:
fastboot oem device-info
...
(bootloader) Device tampered: true
(bootloader) Device unlocked: false
(bootloader) Device is_verified: false
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: false
(bootloader) Display panel:
(bootloader) console_locked: 1
(bootloader) exec_console_unconsole: 0
OKAY [ 0.078s]
finished. total time: 0.078s
Click to collapse
And thus unable to flash recovery.
E:\Android\OP2>fastboot flash recovery stock.img
target reported max download size of 536870912 bytes
sending 'recovery' (28144 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.671s]
writing 'recovery'...
FAILED (remote: device is locked. Cannot flash images)
finished. total time: 0.702s

I searched in internet and found few solutions but it was for A2001 OP2 device and there was no qualacomm drivers for A2003.
Whenever my OP2 shutdowns and i restart it is stuck on oneplus logo and i need to plug it into my pc and use fastboot continue command to run it smoothly.
The model number doesn't matter, it only shows where the phone was intended to sell. You can try any tutorial that is for Oneplus2.

Cannot flash TWRP (failed to load kernel)

I'm trying to root my Moto X Pure following this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-style/general/guides-how-to-guides-beginners-t3200808
I was able to unlock the bootloader. In fastboot mode, it says "Device is UNLOCKED. Status Code: 3"
But so far I am unable to flash TWRP on it.
The serial comes up when I type: "adb devices," or "fastboot devices" in the command prompt. I attempt to flash with the following:
HTML:
C:\root>fastboot flash recovery C:\root\twrp-3.2.1-0-twrp.img
(bootloader) slot-count: not found
(bootloader) slot-suffixes: not found
(bootloader) slot-suffixes: not found
(bootloader) has-slot:recovery: not found
target reported max download size of 536870912 bytes
sending 'recovery' (4690 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.109s]
writing 'recovery'...
OKAY [ 0.623s]
finished. total time: 0.736s
Then, when I go to "Recovery Mode" on the phone, I get a screen that says this...
Star Up Failed:
Your device didn't start up successfully.
Use the Software Repair Assistant on computer to repair your device.
Connect your device to your computer to get
the Software Repair Assistant
..... (several more lines)...
Error: failed to load kernel!

I've tried these versions of TWRP:
twrp-2.8.5.0-twrp
twrp-2.8.7.0-clark
twrp-3.0.2-0-twrp
twrp-3.1.0-0-twrp
twrp-3.2.1-0-twrp
Same result every time.
Any ideas to help? Thanks!
Twrp for clark is ~37MB, you are flashing wrong file(4690kb).
Download again 3.+, place it in adb, fastboot.exe folder and flash:
fastboot flash recovery TwrpName.img
or boot only
fastboot boot TwrpName.img @thejukes

Fastboot can't flash or boot TWRP

I already did the same on other phones, but I can't with this lavender:
I boot in fastboot mode and I run `fastboot oem device-info` to check status:
Code:
$ fastboot oem device-info [15:20:59]
(bootloader) Verity mode: true
(bootloader) Device unlocked: true
(bootloader) Device critical unlocked: true
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: false
OKAY [ 0.001s]
Finished. Total time: 0.001s
And it seems ok.
Now I try
Code:
$ fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
and it stuck there and it don't do anything.
I tried different PCs and different cables, nothing make it works!
Normally it only lasts some seconds...
What should I try?
Thanks in advance :silly:

I can't make TWRP on my Asus X00QD (ZE620KL)

Hello,
I can unlock my phone :
fastboot oem device-info
(bootloader) Verity mode: true
(bootloader) Device unlocked: true
(bootloader) Device critical unlocked: true
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: true
(bootloader) ABL Info: Q-ZE620KLXXXX
OKAY [ 0.008s]
finished. total time: 0.008s
but I don't make TWRP...
For flash it was "good" but it's recovery original with command line
and for boot in TWRP I have :
fastboot boot 'recovery.img'
downloading 'boot.img'...
OKAY [ 0.637s]
booting...
FAILED (remote: unknown command)
finished. total time: 0.638s
I tested 3 TWRP different ones with the same result
Can you help me please ?
Please help me, I have no solution, and I want to put custom rom in my phone.
