I can't seem to get fastboot devices to recognize my device. I'm following all the instructions but I know the update for this device had a root exploit patch. So can this be rooted yet? Obviously I know it can since there are ROMS for it but I can't do it with 2.3.4 for some reason. Any help would be appreciated....
Point the driver to \drivers\64 or 86

I don't think drivers are my problem. I can run adb and fastboot just fine, it just doesnt see my device unless I'm fully booted and with USB debugging on and run adb device. Other than that it wont see it to run fastboot oem unlock.
if do adb device on mine while in boot loader it doesnt see it....however fastboot oem unlock works fine....trust me the device can be rooted.

Have you booted into bootloader with volume up and power? if your drivers are right, it will find you for fastboot
Yes its in fastboot mode, it just doesnt see the device... However if I run the same command while fully booted adb devices it sees it, but in fastboot mode (volume up and power) I can't get it to see the device.

This is exactly what happened to me a few days ago. Bloody update! As a consequence I lost my root byhard resetting and apparently no debug either. I am trying to communicate with my device through adb. But because of no-root nor debug I have no way to do so. Anyhelp will be greatly appreciated.

It doe not seem to be with the computer. I tried both. Connection of both seems OK. Because whenever I enter adb devices in platform-tools, the serial number shows up. But I think it is to do with my device which does not have root and debug is off. Whenever I write 'adb sideload TWRP.zip it says, it does not recognize 'sideload'.

Only one question,
Do you have any ROM installed currently or stuck without any rom. Like boot loop and secure boot issue etc.
If you have TWRP at least installed on your device, you may use "adb push xxxx.zip /sdcard/xxxx.zip" command if the device is discoverable in "adb discover" command. You may follow the guide here "http://www.droidviews.com/android-4-4-2-kitkat-rom-on-lg-g2-d802-install-twrp/"
If you are able to boot in X rom you may use this guide to shine yourself in stock rom

Thanks!

Firstly you may not go do download mode for flashing factory rom. You can do the same even from recovery. However, the guide in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=51693321#post51693321 seems working for many. You may give that a try.
Thanks.

I have a similar problem, my sprint G2 says download mode when vol up+ cable, but doesn't go all the way into download mode just the initial screen. And normal boot results in being stuck on LG logo forever.
Hi so I accidentally flashed a G4 rom while trying to go back to stock and now my device won't power on. I've tried recovery and download mode but my screen just stays off. My computer detects it as QHSUSB_BULK. Someone said to download Qualcomm drivers so I did and now it just says my phone is unknown USB device. Can anyone help me? Oh and no disk drives pop up either like some others have gotten

I have been trying to get adb working on my Win10 machine for a long time and just can not figure out what is wrong.
I have adb installed in c:\adb and my USB drivers are working. I can browse the phone from the PC.
But no matter what I try when I try to adb, I get this:
.
C:\adb>adb devices
List of devices attached
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *
** daemon still not running
error: cannot connect to daemon: No error
error: cannot connect to daemon: No error
C:\adb>

(Yes I do have USB debugging ON and OEM ON)
It is weird because it says daemon is nOT running then it tries to start
it and says daemon started Successfully ... then it says daemon still
nOT running. That makes no sense to me ?
Please any thoughts on this ???
Thanks

Try plugging in the phone to the computer while in recovery mode. I always found there were more drivers to be installed. Verify that usb debugging is active. Also I think you need most recent Java dev edition up to date. Those are the only handfuls I can think of.

Really ?? Well I am using a guide that says to flash the SU binaries via Odin in download mode. What other method is there without a
custom recovery, like TWRP ?
If I could achieve root without Odin and adb please tell me : )
Thank you
Google for and install the system wide adb. You restart your computer lately? Simple as that sounds I've had it not work until I restart.
Not sure what guide you're fallowing but look into something called FlashFire.
If all else fails make ANOTHER ADB help thread.

Additionally did you even Google "error cannot Connect to daemon"? Or just start making help me threads cause in 2 seconds I found all kinds of solutions and people saying what worked for them...
