Hi i followed this article

And found my device infected, how do disable it?
U do understand the difference between being vulnerable and being affected, no?

Low probability of you being infected. Keep your Bluetooth off until your phone receives the September security update.
Can it really block Blueborne?

Seems like oneplus has fixed it in the latest beta update.
Check this thread

Also the three latest dailys of LineageOS also has it patched.

Updates are live, installing on Pixel XL, but zero information about the fixes or improvements on Google Bulletin. It says no Pixel security fixes this time included, no information about new features or other fixes too. So only general Android security fixes this time I guess.
Announcements
There are no Pixel security patches in the February 2019 Pixel Update Bulletin.
Functional patches
All Pixel devices running Android 9 will receive an Android 9 update as part of the February OTA. This quarterly release contains many functional updates and improvements to various parts of the Android platform and supported Pixel devices.
Does anyone already received the OTA ?

I manually installed on Monday afternoon. All went well. Flashed factory images (retained data). Booted TWRP to flash Magisk. Only nuance was that new version of Magisk was released at about the same time, so had to play around with that for a bit. Standard monthly upgrade. No surprises. All seems to be running well.
I'm on magisk but I haven't receive the OTA even when pushing the button. With magisk shouldn't I still get the notification (manual or not) ?? I know that installing it with magisk is a whole different thing... I always install full otas manually via twrp, but I would like to install a ota with the magisk method... too much time consuming when doing via twrp
Honor Started their EMUI 9 based on Android Pie 'a beta testing. They recruited 500 users for it. But now all they are doing is madness.
First they released a faulty version of beta which they send to Beta and no beta tester which make their devices to stick in eRecovery. They fixed that problem, devices were recovered. But now its even more of a different story.
They are providing beta update randomly to users. Beta tester and non beta testers are getting pie beta while in a different pace they also releasing a Feb security patch.
Now the problem is, when a non beta tester(a general user) gets the beta update they can't report any bug, they are stuck. And those who signed up, if they update the security patch they are getting kicked out from beta program. It has been such a mess.
Please XDA, you can reach to Huawei/Honor when we cannot. Please take this problems public, only maybe then they will provide these things correctly.

i also got kicked out from the project after updating my security patch. I was so much excited for the project but now m dissapointed badly
I realized that my A1 did not ask me to update for a couple of weeks, maybe even 2 months.
As was busy, it did not bother me ...
When checking for updates now, I see:
Your System is up to date
Android 8.1.0,
Security Patch level: 5 January 2019
Any I idea why I am no longer offered to update?

It could be because of any modifications made to your device, however you can still flash new Android 9 (Pie) with Miflash. Many people also say it is better to stay on Oreo because of stability and camera quality.
Another solution to get Pie update is to use VPN and clear data of some applications (I don't remember which ones).
That's the reason (cmaera, xposed ..) I decided to stay with Android 8.1.
Besides Magisk there are no modifications ...
Thanks!
That's wierd. The last Oreo version for Mi A1 is on November security patch.
Well, in any case, would be enough with cleaning "Google Play Services' cache.
All times I got a delay in software updates from Xiaomi for MiA1, this solved the problem (happened to me twice).
Just to be clear, this isn't related to Google Play apps.

Did you restarted device after that?
You remind me that I had to reboot after cleaning GP Services, then searched for update manually. I forgot to mention that, my fault.
If that doesn't solve your problem, I feel this is related to a completely different reason. Just in case, check time and date/location to be set by provider instead of manual.
However, the procedure I recommended to you usually works and I found it in another thread around here, perhaps there are other methods to reach software update correctly.

Even GP-Services Clear Data and reboot does not change anything!
In general the phone is working fine ...
After all you have done I have to ask you this: are you sure you are holding a Mi A1? Because the January 2019 security patch comes with Pie not Oreo, the last patch for Oreo is on November 5 2018.

Yes! I am talking about my Xiaomi A1.
The Build Number is: OPM1.171019.026.V9.6.8.0.ODHMIFE and
the Android Security Patch level: 5 January 2019
I am aware that it does not match ...
The last update I did was on Jan 10th, using XiaomiFlash.
The image I used was: tissot_images_V9.6.8.0.ODHMIFE_20181031.0000.00_8.0_9ea450fe98

Whoah, that's strange. In your case I would make a clean flash of stock oreo ROM and it should fix it.

Maybe something has altered the security patch date and cause the update engine to go haywire, because that build number is definitely from the November security patch.
Agreed, a clean flash with should fix it .
Not sure if Oreo or Pie is better for me (camera, xposed, tasker ...)
Still it remains a mystery what happened ...

If youre talking about stock experience - Oreo is better, but I tried Gcam on stock Pie and got incredible results. Also installed Magisk with one module which enables 1080p 60 FPS.
Which camera for PIE are you using? Does it support all the 3 lenses?
Currently I am using https://f.celsoazevedo.com/file/cfiles/gcm1/GoogleCamera_5.2.025-Final_fu24-18d1.apk. which supports all 3 ...
LG G6 is a great smartphone for taking pictures ... and a few other things like using it as a standard phone.
Mine is working fine on android 8.0 (Oreo) EU stock, with bootloader legally unlocked and the infamous lock screen.
From what I read here and there, it is nonsense to update it to Android Pie (9.0). No gain and many pains !
In other words, I intend to keep it under Oreo 8 and try to update it for security patches !
a) how to lock updates to Android PIE ?
b) how to keep updating security patches ?
Is this Mission "impossible" ?
For your info, I know there are alternative ROMS, but from what I read, none works as well as a STOCK ROM ...
I think Pie is no longer supported at all and there weren't too many security patches for Oreo so far.
So after 36 months everything stops ?
No solution ?
So Google and Brands invented the OS that really sets the game ? 2 years and bye bye ?
I'm not a Go-Go Buyer !
It would be fine with me if i'm wrong. And there would be a third big update in the form of Android 10 and if they still release security patches for 9.
Mine is from May, Android 9 of course,so there still is some support.
(and i mistook Oreo and Pie in my post from May, nothing beats plain numbers...)

Thanks "leCorbusier" for your optimistic message.
Android 10 LG STOCK for LG G6 ? You must be dreaming !
Besides this, just remember that I want to block Pie update (check OP) and still get security updates, but for Oreo !!!

G6 received PIE update after 1 year, when PIE was released. Pie update for G6 and May security pacth was last update. LG has bad software support. Forget about Android 10 for G6 from LG. Only way to get Android 10 is custom ROMs

I understand your concern, security updates are more important to me. This is why I use custom roms. But it's also my experience that there are definitely custom roms running android 10 that are way better than LG's stock roms, especially Oreo. I don't know where you read the contrary, unless you have a model that isn't well supported.
Honestly, though, the bonus features are just a bonus to me. Having up-to-date security updates are the most important to me. I buy LG phones after they are discounted, and also only after I see the community begin to support specific models, since I know LG is awful about support.
I've been notified of 11 being available OTA.
Before updating, I wanted to check whether it's safe. No slowdowns, no major impact on battery, things to watch out for, the usual stuff.
Thought to find an already opened discussion here but I cannot find it.
