I looked into this and it looks like you may have Product Code SM-G900FZBAO2U which is the UK brand S5.
As far as the "G900FXXU2BOK5" Firmware your looking for... It doesn't exist.
Your a bit off on the Firmware for that device. It should be "G900FXXU1BOK5" because there's no "U2" there's only "U1".
Unfortunately there's no download for the G900FXXU1BOK5 because it's one that came with the device. This is also an S5 with an unlockable bootloader.
Now i can go into lengthy details but, i found a handful of links that will help you to recover your device.
Take a look at the following links and read them through to figure out your course of action. I also provided some informational links too.

Thanks for the quick reply, I'm going to work through the links you sent, however I do want to make it clear that the Firmware version i posted is correct, it is what is displayed in the build section of the phone. Another curiosity is in the Recovery mode it states the model is G900V, not G900F as is stated under the battery, is this normal?

Okay... I'll explain a touch more...
The first 5 digits identifies the actual model as G900F and, based on what you had stated, tells me that it it was originally a G900F with the G900V Firmware installed.
Someone had unlocked the international UK and installed the Verizon US firmware. This can be done only with the international S5.
One of the links i had provided you (i believe the sammobile forum link) states this too.
I hope i had explained it okay via text...
EDIT: In addition, when installing the G900V on a G900F, the G900V doesn't change the Baseband version which is G900F. That's why there's 2 different device models being reflected in 2 separate locations.

Have you ever tried the Wondershare MobileGO PC Software?
No guarantees that it'll work for that specific device but, it can pretty much root almost all devices.
Here's where to get it:
[OFFICIAL] Wondershare MobileGo: Super Mobile Toolbox - Wondershare MobileGo
This is a pretty simple and decent guide:
Guide on How to Use the Wondershare MobileGo. - Phone Transfer
Just keep in mind to follow the instructions to the letter.

The software is not network provider specific...
I doubt that someone who's successful with a Verizon device won't be successful with the same device with other carriers.
I know, personally, that it's successful for Galaxy S3, S4 and S5.
I don't own any Galaxy Active devices so I can't guarantee that it will be successful.
Just providing an option... Good luck!

Ramblings about boot loaders.
You need to contact att via their website (if you own your phone) and get the unlock code, it's a pain in the a$$ you will also have to call 611 and listen to crappy music forever and stupid robots (be prepared to talk to more people than you ever wanted to that have no idea what is going on but they will transfer you.) If you ever get through that process you follow very vague instructions on how to do it. You will need a friend with another provider. If att sends sends you the code, write it down. Hold right button down, select power off, remove battery and sim card, put friends card in, put battery back in and power on. Enter the unlock code when prompted. You can then use whatever rooting tool you like, after shutdown again, switch cards, blah, blah. Its a good phone but I could switch back to a galaxy 3 and be happier.

Incorrect firmware flashed, but the phone works!!! Help.

I have a G900f, which I asked a friend of mine to install a custom rom, he ended up flashing G900V software. I have bad network problems now and I tried flashing the g900f firmware but was unsuccessful. The model number on the back of the phone and in settings now differ. Any recommendations as to how I can fix this, im pretty new to flashing firmware and such. Much Appreciated, thanks.

New software update for Samsung Galaxy S5 (G900F)

Hey everyone,
I've just noticed that my G900F shows a notification about a new official software update from Samsung. I've looked online and found on a third party site that this update is supposed to bring minor improvements but no newer version of Android.
Since I'm planning on rooting my phone as soon as my warranty expires, I am unsure if the new update will have any effect on my ability to root my phone. (I've already rooted my older G900F, which I had to replace, since Samsung declined to fix it as warranty).
I checked the Samsung website but couldn't find anything about this current update, so if anyone knows anything related to this issue, pls let me know.
Thanks John

Problems with switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data

Hi all,
I installed the following ROM on my S5: [ROM] [Unofficial] [7.1.2_r36] RR-N 5.8.5 [klte + variants] [05-06-18 Security Patch Level] My Internet has dropouts. For example: I surf on Facebook, and my phone is moving from mobile data to Wi-Fi, or backwards, it suddenly stops loading the page. I want to kill the app and reload it, then it will work again. Only closing does not help. It does not matter if it's in an app or through the browser.
The same problem exists with the official RR 7.1.2.
Is there perhaps a problem with the baseband version?
I currently have this: G900FXXU1CPJ1
Sorry about my bad english.
Best regards

I'm wondering if your device is one of the following?
CSC: SIO (Slovenia)
CSC: CMF (Macedonia)
If neither of those, then please let me know what it is but, I've got a feeling that it's one of those.

It looks like your specific Modem Firmware is out of date...
With BTU being United Kingdom, you will need to locate the latest version for your device.
I don't have this specific variant but, your question did look like this may have been the case.
You may have to search around for the most recent Modem Firmware for your specific device Firmware.

I only responded to help highlight this possibility of the Firmware Modem Update that typically resolves these types of issues.
The only thing that I can think of is it being specific to either the Firmware ROM or some type of customization that may be conflicting with the operation of the Modem (the Modem controls the WiFi and the Provider Connection to the Towers).
Sometimes a very small change to something like a setting that you would never think would even affect this just may be the Culprit.

Sorry, my mistake. The first attempt did not work properly. Now it seems to work. Thanks again for your help.

Galaxy s5 straight talk issues.

Hello, I have a galaxy S5 straight talk phone.
I used 14.x of lineage with no issues.
I have updated to 15.1 and everything works but I have the following problems.
Loses service (I can actually see my apns disappear)
"Roaming indicator off" is displayed (no way to turn off)
Bluetooth crashes constantly.
Rebooting fixes service drop and Bluetooth but only for a little while.
I tried to find a newer modem as stock is 4.x Android
I tried regular galaxy S5 modems and refuses to flash it always fails auth. (Would love to update finally as it's old.)
I have tried to find fixes but nothing so far. If anyone has a fix please let me know. I love the new version and would hate to go back.
Oh also I have done a fresh flash (deleted everything and flashed so no dirty)
Posted in questions and answers as well but looked like thread was dead (not trying to double post)

I've never had this variant and I've never done this before myself...
My first instinct is to strongly suggest that you don't try it and might result in a Soft/Hard Brick.
I would even think that this would be blocked in Odin with a "SW REV CHECK" Fail since this is the way Odin checks to see if what your flashing is for your device.
With that guidance...
I do see some chat regarding this exact question your asking on the following thread.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3580168
It looks like some has successfully performed this as well.
I would think that this conversation would probably be best continued on that thread for guidance since it has members who are much more familiar with your specific device.
I do wish you the best of luck with this!

Thank you. The reason I want to do this is my modem is from 4.x android which is ancient now and also I have los 15.1 and its constantly losing service ,WiFi,Bluetooth every few minutes. I was trying to find 14.1 los but its not available anymore and all links I find eventually go back to the website that has it removed.

S5 LineageOS16 encryption
Hey!
I installed LineageOS 16.0.1 on my SM-900F and I can't encrypt the device. Phone just reboots.
Also "Trust" is telling me that SELinux is not enforced and I cant seem to find any settings relating to SELinux. Should I just turn off the notification or what?
Obviously I like my device to be secured as much as possible.
Any tips for where to look, please?
