Hey XDA,
I've just unlocked my bootloader and flashed TWRP 3.1.1. I was on the stock Nougat OTA. I wanted to install LineageOS 14.1, but I get a bootloop on the latest nightly. Process was factory reset/wipe -> flash ROM, Gapps, SU -> wipe dalvik, reboot I figured that maybe it was an issue with the nightly, so I installed Resurrection Remix and got the same issue.
Stuck on boot animation, occasionally a very slight vibration.
Does anyone have an idea of what this is?

Search a little... most custom ROMs do not work on a device that was updated to Nougat due to differences in radio firmware and partitioning. Try a newer Nougat custom ROM like Dirty Unicorns, and only flash ROM and appropriate Gapps, after boot is verified try flashing root with the latest SuperSU (2.82) or Magisk (14.0) only.
And clean flash... wipe everything but internal/external storage, then flash.

I don't know any custom working with Nougat baseband.
Before custom N you should downgrade it.
Download last MM for your model, unzip, and flash:
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
Reboot to twrp, adv.wipe - everything(except sd card) and flash any custom N you want.

I have HM2014818 model (variant of HM2014811) and had the latest MIUI ROM 7.2 (developer). I decided to flash CM 13 first which resulted in bootloop then I flashed Resurrection remix which also ended in error. Now the procedure which i followed is.
1. Enter recovery mode TWRP 3.0.2-0-wt88047
2. Wipe data, system, cache , dalvik cache (formatted user data as well for last resort)
3.Flashed The ROM
4. FLashed GAPPS (Tried without flashing as well)
5. Wipe cache/dalvik cache (tried without it also)
6. Reboot System results in boot loop or boot stuck (with MI logo)
Here what I have done so far to correct it.
Downloaded stock ROM for Redmi 2 (latest developer version 6.4.14) unzipped it extracted boot.img file, replaced the resurrection remix boot.img file with stock boot.img file. The system booted, the only problem is the resurrection remix logo takes 15 minutes to change its animation sequence, it is not at all smooth. It is laggy. How to fix this can anyone give the appropriate boot.img image for faster boot keeping in mind my phone only boots from stock Boot.img file.
Restore to kitkat partitions (instructions from here).
Then wipe all data, reboot to recovery, and then flash again.

I have no idea of what the error per se is, but I remember having faced a similar problem and this is how I corrected it. I'm no developer.

U can't flash cm13 or other mm ROMs if u r on miui lollipop bootloader.. Just downgrade to KitKat.
U can use this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-2/how-to/rom-stock-kitkat-miui-6-fastboot-rom-t3375693
Sent from my 2014818 using XDA-Developers mobile app
I officially upgraded to 3.0.2, unlocked and rooted my phone.
It was fine for the first few times I flashed multiple ROMs. But ever since I flashed Exodus, I keep having issues switching to different ROM.
A week ago, I flashed "Switch to OOS3_H2OSMMv7" zip and was able to flash Resurrection Remix, but today when I tried switching to CM13 or PA it gets stuck at flashing the ROM zip. I tried flashing the firmware zip again and flash the ROM, but to no avail. It won't flash any ROMs now, just stuck at recovery while flashing the zip.
I have a working fastboot and recovery mode though, so I'm trying to avoid flashing the entire factory image but that seems to be only option left. Does anyone have any clue as to why this is happening and how I can fix it?
Edit: Resurrection Remix gets installed fine, CM13 and PA still giving me issues.
Edit: I downloaded the latest version of CM13 and it works. Earlier I was using June 30 build which seems to have issues with the new firmware. I'll try out the new PA build to see if it fixes that too.
What error does your recovery gives?
Do you have Data Backup?
Can you access ADB while in Recovery?

It does not show any error as it just looping while installing the zip. I have to force shut down the phone to exit it.
Yes, I have backed up all my data
Yes, I am able to access my phone in both ADB and in fastboot modes.
After flashing Custom ROM, Wipe data, cache, d-cache and then reboot.
If still doesnt work try flashing another custom ROM. You can use adb-sideload to flash another zip in recovery mod.

I have G900F. I have tried : CM Official, Blisspop, RR, Mokee
So, I installed the new ground zero ROM, validus 8.1, but it has wiped my recovery and only stock android 6.0.1 recovery. I have flashed twrp though adb with no luck. Any advice?
I have fixed my issue if anyone is interested.
Validus was the first ROM ever to have wiped my recovery back to stock Android not even OnePlus recovery. I had to fastboot OEM unlock bootloader again and flash two again via fastboot. Almost a brick!
Okay so I've tried Pixel experience, lineage os , omni rom treskmod and couple of other custom android 10 roms, all stable and official and also updated ones, the wifi just simply doesn't work, wifi hotspot won't turn on either. I've tried every solution on the internet. I've even factory reset my phone using msm download tool and no luck(did this countless times).
I'm back in OOS 10.3.2 and there's no issue apparently.
At one point , i flashed a custom rom and the wifi didn't work, so I flashed OOS in the two slots and checked , the wifi works in OOS apparently, and never in custom roms.
Has anyone got this issue before and knows a solution?

I flash OOS and twrp on both slots, reboot recovery,
And then flash the rom and twrp, reboot recovery, then format data and factory reset, reboot recovery, if needed for some gapps, then reboot system

That's a lot of unnecessary steps. OOS on both slots, reboot to bootloader, boot twrp, format data and flash the custom rom, reboot bootloader, boot twrp and flash gapps, don't install twrp permanently if you are not going to install Magisk.

I need magisk too, I usually permanently install twrp
Also you think it's the way I'm installing at fault here? Or the rom? Or is it something wrong with my device?

Alright so got one doubt, I used OOS 10.3.2 to flash, should it be oos 10.0 only?
Thought that didn't make a difference.
I am also facing the same issue. Were you able to find any solution ?
So I found out treskmod omni rom and Paranoid android quartz 2 work perfectly , try those out, it still doesn't solve the problem in the other roms though. So not exactly a solution.
