I just received my MediaPad M3 8" and changed to one of the 4 local themes that came pre-installed in the Theme's app. I have 4 options: Blues, Dreamland, Modern, Mysterious. I was changing from Blues to Mysterious and just reviewing the different themes when I noticed that I couldn't revert back to the original theme that came pre-installed on the MediaPad. The tablet gives me options to select among the 4 Locally saved themes but no way to revert back the original theme. I called Huawei and they advised me to do a Factory Data Reset, basically wiping it clean and starting over. I have already spend the last few days putting my data in though.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi guys,
I was wondering if someone could help.
Basically, my Desire Z booted in safe mode for reasons unknown. After getting it back to normal I noticed a few of my widgets wouldn't load – one of them being seNotes. I removed some of the others and got seNotes to work again for new notes but I *really* need to recover data from a previous notes. At first, it just had a square icon with 'problem loading' and now it's gone altogether. When I created a new widget it somehow contained data from another note (not the one I want to recover) so I have a tiny bit of hope the data may be somewhere in the phone.
I am running the stock 2.3.3 ROM from HTC.
The app is available from: https://market.android.com/details?id=shiloff.com.senotes&hl=en
Publisher is Eugene Shiloff.
Thank you very much in advance,
P.S. and yes, in the future I will be backing the living crap out of my Dz!
Okay, so. finally I have a rom that runs absolutely fantastic. (Dorimanx, in case it matters with this issue)
But I did not like the status bar/icons in the status bar.
A friend told me to use the rom toolbox, so I did.
with the toolbox I installed ICS Green skin by Chuck Norris.
It all went fine, so I decided to install another skin. It worked fine. however, I didn't really like it. So I reverted to the old.
During the reverting, titanium backup crashed. I'm not sure how that screws up the process. but It did. (even though I had already made a backup from the very first skin I installed)
now, after this crash. my wallpaper changed back to default. and the icons were in fact stock. BUT
I now can not change the icons any longer. they just stay stock no matter which one I install. Anyone know why this is?
Edit:
I also noticed my accounts on my phone (Google, facebook, whatsapp. the whole lot.)
were deleted along with the wallpaper thing.
I just resigned the accounts. and suddenly the icons changed to the ICS Blue skin..
I wanted green back, but hey. at least it did something. LOL.
Still, anyone know what caused this?
Like an SD card fail or something?
hey, i've been struggling with the LTE disengaging and HSDPA replacing it for a while now.
anyhow i made my mind to update to the latest factory image fully blowing the phone back to stock, but the thing is and the thing is silly possibly, i need my home screen icons to remain as is after i re-install the apps! is it possible to save their locations? it takes a lot of time organizing
It could be done, from within the setup wizard.
Once you have reset your 6P, you will go through the wizard during the first boot. After logging into your account, it offers you to restore your phone with a previous instance of the device, and its installed apps.
The process will restore the previous apps and also their icon locations on the homescreen.
i don't think that works after a factory image flashing, as that WIPES the device clean from any previous images. thanks for trying though.
It is meant to work. I have recently restored my apps on Android MM, when I moved back from the N preview.
And yes of course, by flashing the factory image.
were you having a google now launcher? because that worked with me but im not using it now.
i'll try what you proposed as soon as the april image is up.
I don't remember precisely, about the GN Launcher. But I am sure that all the apps that were downloaded on the previous instance, were all restored back.
Just make sure that your last apps sync/backup is quite recent. I notice that sometimes this G Sync fails and becomes stuck for days, if not weeks.
Not something that I have ever suffered from. But anyway, precaution is always better than the cure.
Supposedly there's a system update for my s7 edge sprint. When I tried to update it it stated my system was modified so I checked. Sure enough it stated custom not official. The only thing I installed that changed anything was the live wallpaper changer. The one that allowed live wallpaper for lockscreen because the Samsung theme thingy took that option away for plain Jane wallpapers. It's the one somewhere in the xda developers forums.
Try to uninstall the app, then clear data and cash in recovery mode. If that doesn't help, then u may need to factory reset
I can't factory reset due to that the one I used somehow replaced the original one and can't be disabled or Uninstalled.
I know Samsung s7 edge couldn't modify system without root I am not rooted at all factory reset wouldn't work I think if it somehow replaced the system file. I can't post screenshot of it either xda won't let me yet.
Ogre thanks I thought about what I used to do with my note 5 and 2 I multiple wipe cache etc 6 times system still read custom on the 7th one it somehow read official and the update was taken and after the update I was somehow able to keep the live wallpaper for both home or home and lockscreen too bad I can't do separate for home and lockscreen it only had 2 options.
I seriously miss my note 2 may it rest in peace due to wife dropping it 6 stories. My HTC Diamond custom rom I made she also destroyed. My touch pro custom same by me ran over cause she dropped it. My touch pro 2 swimming pool accident customed by me as well. My first Android evo 4g forgot what happened to it lol probably the wife as well.
And to Windows 6.5 rest in peace I miss making my own custom rooms thanks to Xda and the people who made the kitchens I used just never had the guts to release them.
May my note 5 she has customed with moar rom have a longer life spam
Still unsure about rooting my 7 edge
Hello fellow 9T users,
I have been searching around with not much result on this, so as a last resort i ask the community.
I wanted to use a live wallpaper for both home and lock screen, and i wanted to try the method with using the 24H Dynamic Wallpaper (seriously why do we have to do it this way?). When selecting wallpapers from the settings i have 4 tabs: Local Photos, Recent, Pre-installed and live.
Now i do believe i did actually had more live Wallpaper options instead of the 4 in the tab available... And this is my second 9T (had a hardware failure) and i remember i had the 24H Wallpaper on both devices. Its missing, i have tried changing region to see if it was hidden but nope.
Is this because i updated to MIUI 11? (V11.0.3, android 9, Europe). Maybe the wallpaper carrousel that has been added? Or is the file just missing?. I have been switching around with roms, but have reverted to stock and also installed an ota update, maybe this could be the culprit?
Kinda lost on this one, so if anyone could give a hand it would be really appreciated!
I just received the Xiaomi mi 9T Pro 2 days ago and just updated to miui 11.0.3 based on Android 10. I live in canada so I probably have that version of the OS. I can confirm that in the update featurette it showed the 24 hours dynamic wallpapers as part of the update, but no matter where I go either in the theme or wallpaper settings or the one from the store, I simply cannot find the 24h wallpapers.
I hope they can fix this soon.
