Get it to the nearest service center or if you can then get it replaced
At any point in time, either of the sim slot will work on 4G, and the other will automatically limit to 3G.
Both the slots are 4G enabled, but 4G cannot be used on both the slots at the same time. If Sim 1 is using 4G, Sim 2 will automatically revert to 2/3G, and if Sim 2 is using 4G, Sim 1 will revert to 2/3G.

Is it possible to use jio sim on sim slot 2 ?
I'm using moto x play dual sim indian with latest marshmallow update.
I know both slots are 4g supported .
But When I inserted jio sim in sim 2 slot a pop up msg shows if u want to use LTE then insert jio sim on slot 1.
What to do ? Sim 1 is my primary number (Vodafone)
And in network mode selection phone is not showing VOLTE ,it's just showing 4g.
Need urgent help.
sim 1
i am using jio sim in sim slot 1 and it gives upto 45mbps
you can use jio sim in sim 2 but you need to select sim 1 to 2G only and sim 2 to 4G(recommended)...
note:YOU CANNOT USE SIM1 IN 3G OR 4G UNTIL YOU CHANGE SIM2 PREFERRED NETWORK TO 2G..

Why I'm getting this pop up ?
I put jio in sim 2 n I had this pop up too. After putting it in sim 1 I got new option in cellular network called "enhanced 4g LTE mode".maybe both slots support LTE but only slot 1 supports volte.
PS: (sorry for off topic) I just got my jio yesterday n the guy at digixpress mini said it'll take 15 days for activation. I'm getting 'no service' right now.is it okay? Or should I at least get signals?

It's normal it will show no signal or emergency call only. Activation time depends on your state and place. if the store has more sim activation pending then your request will be get delayed.
When your application has been updated to jio by the store then you will receive an sms.
After one of that your sim will show signal .

That's expected because JIO is a 4G only Mobile service.
Any Dual SIM device can have High Speed Network on any 1 of the 2 SIM slots and the other one will always remain on 2G. So whenever you are enabling 4G on Idea's SIM Slot, JIO's SIM Slot is being changed to 2G only and JIO can't receive a Signal in 2G mode. I am not sure but I have heard that in few Cities in South India JIO has partnered with BSNL to use it's(BSNL) network on 2G mode but I don't see how it's gonna work or even if it's true or just a rumer.
So, if you want to use JIO you need to have 4G enabled in it's SIM slot and make another one 2G.
Hope I was able to make your confusion clear. Feel free to ask back if you have any more questions.

You can't use two 4G SIMs at the same time.
The SIM not set as the primary (data) SIM can only connect to a 2G network.
It's always been like this on the OP2

I mean't to say that Vodafone is 4G enabled Sim. It is not mandatory that it should work only on 4G.
Whereas JIO is a Network Where 4G is Mandatory. BTW it was working fine for the past three months without any issue.
And I even tried Having Airtel as the 1st Sim and Vodafone as the 2nd sim (Vice Versa) it doesn't work..
I thought if i Factory Reset the phone the problem would be gone, but it didn't ! Probably i have to go to a Service Centre

If your JIO SIM is the primary SIM and Vodafone have a 2G network in your location, the second SIM should be able to connect too.
If it doesn't, something isn't right.

Hope Going to the Service Center Should solve my Issue.
Hi Everybody,
I am stuck with my OP2 OOS 3.5.6.
So after i got the 3.5.6 i was not able to get VOLTE. So i found a resolution on the OP2 forum:
They advised to downgrade to 3.1.0 and then to upgrade to 3.5.6, did that and was able to get VOLTE, but another issue started, as in India Jio is a 4g service and I read somewhere that we will have to use it in SLOT 1 , so i did the same, and Vodafone in SLOT 2.
When i did that Jio works fine but there is no network for Vodafone.
After that i have tried the following:
*Selecting network manually.
*Changing the band.
*Reinstalling the OS.
*Resetting the network settings.
*Wiping out data and cache.
Nothing worked for me, can somebody suggest me something.

If you remove the Jio SIM and leave the Vodafone SIM in slot 2 does it connect to the network?
Does the Vodafone network support 2g?

You only answered one question!
Does the Vodafone network support 2g?
Does the Vodafone sim work in slot 1?
Does your SIM 2 have an IMEI in settings > about phone > status IMEI info?

Yes Vodafone does support 2g but when I select 2g and the Sim in the slot 2 it does not work.
Yes the Vodafone does work fine with 3g and 2g network in slot 1.
Yes the Sim 2 does show the imei number under settings.
You can select vodafone in slot 1 with 2g then put jio in slot 2 and select 4g as the 1+2 has dual LTE standby so jio should work fine on slot 2

Does really op2 has dual stand by, as I am not able to get volte and I have the Jio in slot 2.
Also I contacted op2 customer care and they mentioned that it will only support one 4g and other will be only 3g.
Does it work for you if yes can you please let me know what are the settings you have.

Dual sim standby works fine for me but I'm not a Jio user.
OnePlus support are wrong, If your data sim is 4g, the other drops to 2g not 3g.
Not sure what your issue is though as I've only heard of it affecting some (but not all) Jio users.

You both are right they did mention 2g,my mistake that I mentioned 4g.
Yes I got a few users who mentioned the same of not getting network in the second slot. I did got a hint from somebody that it might be an issue with the update and a fix is in the pipeline. But again its just a hint and not sure.
Thanks a lot for all the help.
Hello,
i hesitate to take a second sim, but my interest is not to call but to have data.
Do you know if i can use data with sim 1 and sim 2 in same time, or the sim 2 is just to have another phone number and not specialize for data.
I have search, and it seems tha the sim 2 is not in LTE for the data but only GPRS/EDGE, that does not really interest me, does someone has test that ?
Thanks

4G Data works on both SIMS! The SIM where data is enabled will automatically switch to 4g/3g/2g and the other SIM will revert to 3G/2G. There is no restriction on where you wanna use 4G.
This is same with most of dual SIM phones as of now.
Thanks for the explication.
