ROM Backup LG E430

Hello
In this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2411426) I found a way to root my lg e430. But the guide says I need to change my ROM first, it isn't suitable for me because I can't make backup of my present branded polish orange ROM so it void my warranty. Is there any way to do a ROM backup before changing it?
Thank you in advance for your answers and sorry for my english.

So, I can use Clock Word Mod without rooted device?
aaa, no, is an adb command but not working well, without root you cannot make a backup
Ok so i need to find a way to root my device directly from original ROM or find this ROM in internet. If you have any ideas - let me know.

I could but I'd lose my current rom. So I can't flash my ROM back if something would be wrong or i decide to take my phone to warranty service in this case.
You can always say that you had to flash open version of the ROM because the Orange one crashed or something. Warranty void occurs when you root the phone/unlock bootloader. At least thats how I see it.
I finally found a method to root my device in this page http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2403230, but I can't change the superuser app that way. If I uninstall chinese superuser and then install normal, device acts like an unrooted then I must root again by vroot program. Do you have any ideas of changing superuser app?

Same problem, after uninstalling chinese version device is unrooted
Yes, you're right I added permissions to normal superuser by chinese superuser. And the uninstall then everything works perfectly.
Now I want to backup my ROM with ClockWordMod but it unlocks the bootloader. How to lock it again and uninstall CWM when I would take my phone to warranty service.
And the other question, Is there any other way to backup my ROM if ClockWordMod doesn't support my phone.
Rooting your device voids your warranty. You can't take it to the service center anymore

I though that when I unroot my smartphone or flash original firmware ROM my warranty doesn't void.

[Q] How to ROOT Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro

Hi all, I've been browsing since yesterday about rooting Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro, however there was little that could be found. And in this point I'm not even sure whether it is possible.
Does someone have experience with rooting this particular phone. I will appreciate any advice.
Thanks in advance

ROOT on Lollipop is actually possible, russian guide HERE.
Every game I tried worked flawlessly. I don't think I have ever had any problems with that. Also resolution change (to 1080p) helped with FPS. I think 1440p is for Adreno 330 too much.
Hi, how is it possible to change the resolution? Thanks.
i used the lenovo companion app and it shows that i'm rooted. but when i installed the supersu, either via playstore of twrp, it keep asking me to update binary. Any idea what i can do? thanks.

After pressing update? Still keeps asking? I just flashed latest SuperSU (2.46 i think) in twrp and everything works fine.
yes it tries to update then say not successful. needs to reboot. but then the same after rebooting. not sure if it's because i don't have root. i did manage to install twrp and can reboot into twrp.
Then flash latest SuperSU zip in twrp. I don't see a reason why it shouldn't work
hi bro, i tried that, and it really didn't work. I'm also puzzled. downloaded v2.46 from the supersu website and flashed via twrp. the message is successful. but when i open up, it still prompts me to update binary. sigh.

look dude... i'll be super honest with you. In no android planet will you be able to root your device if you keep a locked bootloader. Get it unlocked first. Does your device have ''fastboot''? because everything will have to start with that.

There are dozens of devices rootable with those one-click generic apps like KingoRoot or Towelroot etc... which doesn't need unlocked bootloader, or even adb/fastboot. Ofc you won't be able to flash custom recovery (via fastboot) and things like that, but essentialy you'll end up with SuperSU installed along with su binary (that's the point of rooting the device, right?).
Before Lollipop firmware update our device was possible to root via those one-click apps.

Honestly to say you are right. I dont know why i was being rogue with you. I think what i should hav said was '' in no android planet would you want to root your device with a locked bootloader''. Reasons being no Nandroid backup restore method.. neither via recovery nor via fastboot image flashing method. Of course taking nandroid backup will be possible e.g using Online Nandroid app, onandroid executable scripts e.t.c. Besides unlocking bootloader only clears your user data. We all know rooting is not a disaster but a window to disaster #BRICK. Think about it.

Kindly provide details of your android version. I mean you could have used some OTA update. Additional information like processor type could be helpful. You could b using an international variant.

Anyway download pdanet for pc... Install it. Have usb debugging on. Check that on developer options on your device. Connect your device to pc then run pdanet to install the necessary driver. (You could also download and use "adb drivers installer.exe for pc as an alternative".
Check your phone screen to confirm the debug promp.
Download iRoot English version for pc.
Install it and run.
Connect your phone with the usb debug still on.
Once your device is detected and name displayed. A button "Root" will appear. Click on it and your phone will reboot if rooting successful.

Huawei P8 Lite (ALE-L04) - Driver Questions

Hey guys. I registered here a while ago, but this is my first post.
I recently updated my Huawei P8 Lite (ALE-L04) to lollipop. Anyways, I want to unlock the bootloader and root my phone, but to even start that I need drivers for my computer to detect my phone. I tried installing HiSuite and it couldn't detect my phone. Can anyone provide me some links on where to download the proper drivers for my computer to be able to detect my phone please? As far as unlocking the bootloader and rooting the phone, I think I can do that part (Huawei has a tutorial for it I think). Any help would be great. Thanks!
hi, try with the universal adb driver.

Thank you very much guys. I unlocked the bootloader for my phone now. Huawei only provided the tutorial for unlocking the bootloader.
I tried the rooting method for ALE-L21, but that doesn't work for ALE-L04. On one of the steps where it says I should be in a black screen recovery mode (no GUI), I get a white screen recovery asking me to connect my phone to my computer and run HiSuite. I did search around (not too deep) and couldn't find a solid method of rooting for the ALE-L04.

kingroot only works on 4.4.4, for 5.1 you have to flash supersu through TWRP
I've tried Kingo Root and it failed (before knowing that it doesn't support lollipop).
And I tried rooting my phone using this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/general/step-step-guide-to-unlock-bootloader-t3150616
I read your assertion that "I upgraded my P8 ALE-L04 to Android Lollipop (6.0?)..."
I want to do that too, but I don't know how? Can you help me please?

Root And Unlock Bootloader In marshmallow!

Anyone tried to unlock bootloader by the asus official app in marshmallow?
Or tried to flash the tethered recovery and then flashing supersu zip?
Just try old methods to root your phone. Turn on USB debug and run the script.
If you can unlock bootloader with asus official app, then current custom recoveries should be okay.

Did you try any of the root methods?
The one click unlock doesn't work. Neither does tethered custom recovery. Haven't tried the official unlock tool. Not sure about root because I have no need of it to try.
I don't need the bootloader unlock or a custom recovery. Just root to get rid of these apps that can't be removed. 6.0.1 is pretty bloated.

What apps do you want to remove that need root to do so? All the 3rd party stuff can be uninstalled without root, and nearly all the ASUS or Google stuff can be disabled.
There are some Google apps and most of the ASUS apps. They won't let you uninstall so the phone needs rooted. Plus Viper, Titanium, Adaway etc will not work without root.

They won't let you uninstall but you can disable most of them. There's no benefit to uninstalling system apps because the space cleared in the system partition is not useful anyway.

Well as I said before it's bloated. I prefer mine debloated and in addition to that you cannot use certain apps unless you have root.

Need Help rooting CrossCall Trekker-M1 Core Android 6.0.1

Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for a way to root my Trekker-M1 Core.
I have tried having activated usb debugging:
- Rootkhp Pro 1.9
- Kingoroot
- Kingroot
- Sp flash tool but couldn't find the proper rootkit
I could find many rootkits, but unfortunately for other kinds of Crosscall Trekkers
Phone info:
CrossCall Trekker-M1 Core
Android 6.0.1
Hardware version: V1.00
Kernel 3.10.49
If someone could help me, would be wonderfull
Hi Bfreenoe. I just rooted my Crosscall Trekker M1 with Kingoroot. (I like those phones but they have too many little ****ty google apps that you can only remove with a root)
I used the official Kingo Root app that I installed on my phone.
Download on your computer or directly on your phone the Android's version of Kingo Root
Here's the link of the official website:
kingoapp.com
Then you just have to put the apk somewhere on your phone where you can find it easily.
Make sure you've got enough battery (They say 70% but I was at 60% when I did it)
And you'll need an internet connection of course.
I hope it'll work for you

Hi Ulf,
After loads of tries, I succeeded rooting my Crosscall Trekker M1 using iRoot v3.4.9. APK. BUT it seems quite complicated from there to either :
- install a custom recovery as this device is not supported neither by TWRP neither by CWM, as I can't get the recovery.img
- replace 'irootsu' with Supersu, Superuser or Magisk.. Staying with these chinese app omnipotent in my system doesn't really make me feel that my phone is safe and sound..
Does somebody know how to root this device using a 'cleaner' method ?
