How comes that with a 13MP of camera it's better than galaxy note 4

I've got a honor 6 and a galaxy note 4.But the huawei's camera is only 13 MP but my Note 16,why the Huawei's pictures are better?

Mi A1 with Google camera or Redmi Note 5 Pro

Hey guys! I just wanted to know is Mi A1 with Google camera performs better than Redmi Note 5 Pro or not.In stock Camera comparison Redmi Note 5 Pro is a clear winner but what happens with Google camera port.Can someone please compare and post some images and video samples of comparisons.

Mi A1 with GCam should be noticeably better than stock Redmi Note 5 Pro but, the Redmi will surely be able to run it too (just give it some time). The 5 pro should be better once it gets it. It is also packing a somehow superior sensor, Sony's IMX 486 while the A1 is running a generic omnivision sensor.

Redmi Note 5 Pro also can use GCam port later. So guess...who is the winner ?

Current - it would be the Mi A1 with GCam . Soon , once the Note 5 Pro do have the Gcam installed , then my guess it will be better than the Mi A1 . Looking at the N5 Pro comes with a better lenses installed .

Yes mi a1 is batter far from note 5 and 5 pro.

I've been googling all over for redmin note 7 snapdragon 660 with 48MP which means middle east version comes with note 7 pro features but with SD660 so I'm confused to follow note 7 thread or note 7 pro thread

All Redmi Note 7 models except the Indian one come with the Samsung GM1 48 megapixel sensor. The Pro comes with a Sony 48 MP sensor which is reportedly better.

There are 3 different phones with confusingly similar names.
Redmi 7
Redmi Note 7
Redmi Note 7 Pro
This forum is for the Redmi Note 7. Both the Indian variant with the 12 mp camera and the Global variant with the 48 mp sensor that outputs 12 mp. There are other forums for the other phones.

I'm considering this as my next phone, and want to be sure this is the right thread. Could someone please let me know if this discussion is for the Redmi Note 7, Indian version, with 12MP + 2MP rear and 13MP Front Camera?

if it is Snapdragon 660 then yes this is the place
if SD632 this a forum for Redmi 7 and SD675 the forum will be Redmi note 7 pro

48-MP-Camera or not?

While all descriptions (including those at Gearbest, where I bought the phone) of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 speak of a 48 megapixel and a 5 MP camera, all system info apps show me that my phone has one camera with 13.2 MP and the other with 12 MP. My Redmi Note 7 is the Global version. Have I got something wrong?

The sensor mounted on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is the combination of four small pixels to obtain a larger pixel size. Specifically, CU 1.6 starting from CU 0.8.
The sensor included in the ultra-cheap phone is a Samsung ISOCELL S5KGM1. It has Tetracell technology, a technology that combines 4 adjacent pixels to work as a single pixel of larger size, thx to the Snapdragon 660 may be able to process the captured images generating a 48-MP photo.
If you want to take photos in this mode, in Miui you have the option of 48MP in the camera app.
