Someone please mirror the kitkat rom I am unable to download from rapidgator,sammobile and ul.url site is blocked in my country.
Please help i dont have a backup device and need the stock rom badly! :crying:

Bro Did the firmware Flashed successfully I heard that indian firmwares might hard brick the device.
I Have S3 Neo 19300I Ordered It From Flipkart (Indian Variant).
I Am Using CM 12 and wanted to flash stock rom Is it safe to flash this rom??

Lenovo phone a1000 marshmallow

Hello, just got as a present Lenovo a1000 phone with android 5.0
First thing I'm trying to see if it can be upgraded to 6.0
I found a number of links that claim to be rewritten instructions from xda-developer forum. But the download links look like a scam. Need to complete serveys to download files and ask for phone number, etc. So I can't get to downloading these files. Searching for one hour in the forums, I can't find any posts with information about a1000 phone let alone marshmallow upgrade.
So my question is if there's any hope for marshmallow on Lenovo mobile phone a1000? If so how do I get to the ROM?

Update: I can't leave a comment on the sites. Sounds like actual scam.. I guess lollipop wins.. Good at least phone looks more usable than other lenovo phones I've seen. Time will tell.
Update 2: I have managed to download the files by using a US mirror. They are completely different thing than promised. Some windows programs. So it is a SCAM. There is to date no marchmallow firmware for a1000. If you don't find a reputable source, don't click on the advertisings so the pastards don't win.

Sadly there aren't marshmallow roms the only custom rom i found was this lollipop rom http://www.needrom.com/download/lenovo-a1000-custom-rom-aosp-lolipop-stable/

has anyone finally flashed any Custom ROM into Lenovo A1000?
I am looking everywhere I can, but it seems as if there is nothing so far for this phone - not even TWRP is supported...
I was able to root it via KingRoot but other than that, it seems as if there's nothing else you can do...

Just gave up there is no custom ROM I search so many times but nothing i get a1000 looks great with lollipop

yesterday I realize there is no custom recovery for 4.3 SM-G710 so I try to port stock 4.4.2 SM-G7105XXUBNL1 firmware with your boot.img and some other things. I thought if there is a KitKat rom for your device, then developers can compile custom recovery for SM-G710 and custom roms can be installed. But my 4 years old notebook overheat and switch off itself many times when I follow tutorials about packing things into odin flashable md5... ;(
I will buy a 240GB SSD(240cheaper than 500 so I can afford) and install windows again but I need to ask my parents for $$ and maybe after a month I can get a working computer again and work on your rom.
Sorry for failing to keep my promise making the rom on Friday but I'm sure one day you will receive the rom

sm-g7102 custom recovery is appropriate to sm-g710 but not custom rom. perhaps making a little changes on sm-g7102 rom can be usefull. please soneone can try it???

I don't know what is compatible for your device. I don't think there is anything compatible. You could try flash a couple firmwares to see but make sure to have a backup in case it doesnt work
See the problem is the Chinese version of j5 is not a popular device at all so the support is minimal.

OK, gonna try to port for you a ViperOS ROM, these are the smoothest, remember I don't own the device, do a backup before flashing, first of all, give me a day or two to find a good kernel.
PS: camera is my priority, gonna try to fix it first

No result, buddy, sorry for making you wait, I've got a J5108 from a girl, anyway, tried flashing the ROM, tried kernel after Kernel, I tried modifying the Kernel, no result... Time to move on to a different phone if you want some custom ROMs...

A user said it did boot after he flashed his bootloader , can you do that and also send me the bootloader so we can host it for others...

I just did it a few minutes ago, unfortunately it didn't work

You need 320h bootloader , I will ask the guy that tested how he made it work , it's in another thread where they look for a rom for j320H , maybe you can find it on xda

I managed to install the device's ROM with its own boot, but it's not nice at all, the device's own ROM is better than that, its Android is also the same as 5.1...

It's kinda old phone ..but i must say that the official rom can still be a last resource , de-bloated and some little modifications and niceness , be a great help as pocket pc radio portable tv navi and much more ..and it's official , i,m happy it's at least 5.11 so we can still use great apps in 2022 aurora store beside playstore and service will give user allot of freedom , and the services will make every app work ..it's better then nothing
