First of all,
THANK YOU FOR YOU TIME AND EFFORT.
So, I bought a Mojo. Went onto the website support page and tried to Mod it, as instructed. Now, everytime I follow the instructions on how to use TWRP, once it reboots after downloading the image....I get a blank screen. Nothing else. I have spent two weeks, every night after work for about 3 hrs per night, trying to figure this out. I am having no luck. I am pretty sure I accidentally wiped the whole thing.
Any advice?

I decided to go ahead with the TW firmware upgrade. Everything seemed to be going fine until I tried to install it and it told me there was an error and I needed to hook it up to Kies first. I had already been using Kies with it on my Macbook for a couple weeks now so I went ahead and plugged it in. Kies recognized it as usual and all the information came up.
So I went on and tried to install again and it said it needed to reboot.
It reboots and comes to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 screen like normal (right before it starts the galaxy animation). Next thing I know it comes to a screen that looks like the attached images! I immediately unplugged it from Kies and shut it down. Every time I start it back up it does the same thing. I honestly have NO idea what to do. I can't even return it as it's past the 14 day period and I (stupidly) didn't buy Staples' bogus $160 insurance.
I was not rooted before. This was a stock tab that I bought at staples. It had the firmware 4.24 when I bought it, I think.
Please, any help is appreciated. I tried doing firmware recovery in Kies but the pop up comes up in Korean and I have no idea what it says...
Edit: More info. I'm not the only one with this problem. Two other people have posted on AndroidPolice about this. http://www.androidpolice.com/2011/08/04/samsung-galaxy-tab-10-1-wifi-touchwiz-ux-update-is-now-live/
The software is definitely running underneath all that mess but it's literally impossible to see what is going or to touch anything.
I guess this thread is about the same issue
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1203610
Thanks, I'm checking the thread out now. I probably should have searched more than just Google before posting but I freaked out when it happened.
No need to freak out . we have xda and dev to solve all our problems

So I need to follow all the steps for rooting except the last one which is the actual rooting? Great thanx! Do I need to use Kies? My current computer is Mac but I guess I need to download those things to a Windows machine to make it work, right?
Thank you very much
I had the same problem. I upgraded the update on my non-rooted tablet and got the funked up video mess. Per instructions from Samsung support, I hard booted to the recovery menu (power+vol down, then power up, down on download screen) and did the factory wipe. After that I ended up with the black screen. I could tell things were working in the back but couldnt see a thing. I figured I would throw it on the Kies and it saw that there was a factory upgrade so I let the Kies run through it and it works fine now.
Dont know if this will help w/other but it worked for me.
ok, so i have the verizon lg g2, i have flashed numerous phones before and never had anything like this happen. First off, it took me hours to just get the thing rooted after going thru about 15 different walkthrus before one worked.
Then i decided i wanted Malladus ROM so i tried flashing twrp recovery with loki, didnt work, went thru damn near every forum about it coming out with nothing....until...found one talking about flashify and everyone said it worked fine. So i do it, took about 1 second and said it worked, restarted and nothing had changed, except now i cannot enter download mode! When i do it just shows "firmware update" it never changes, left it on all night still at 0%.
I have unrooted it (even though it still says its rooted, but no longer have permissions) and i did a full reset, NOTHING works!!
So before you guys chime in, let me tell you what i have tried....EVERYTHING lol .....I know the only way to fix my phone to fully unroot it is to flash back to original rom, so i went to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2448960 and that wont work because 1. cant get into dl mode, and 2 it wont let me open the flash tool (did everything right, researched and came up with nothing)
then i went to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476 cant get that to work either because cant get into dl mode, so now i have TWO 2.2gb rom files on my comp that i cant use,
And just to be clear, I KNOW HOW to go to dl mode lol, i have wrote it several forums and all people keep saying is the stuff ive already said.
Oh and i cant push with adb either...that is how i originally tried twrp and after 3 hours of trying to figure it out i finally got it to go thru (it was wrong i think but it worked) and that may be what has caused it to crash the dl screen.
Ive never used adb before and after reading 7 diff forums beginning to end (bout a 1000 pages) i realized they were all the same but do not actually explain enough for someone who has never one it. It said to push, well idk what that meant! lol I need step by step instructions in order to fix this, even the tiniest of things may be something i would miss.
PLEASE HELP ME!!!! Thanks guys!
Download mode should work... The first night I got my G2 it was about 4 in the morning, and I immediately installed TWRP on it (3.2 is what you want 3.3 doesn't work), and promptly erased everything on my phone... Partition, data, and everything.
But download mode was still intact, and that first thread you linked worked just fine for me. If you're having issues with that flash tool and being stuck at a login screen, you missed the part where it tells you to download a DLL file and place it the flash tool install directory. That file will bypass the system login and let you use the program.
I don't know how long you've been up, but I'd say take a break and come back to it in a bit. If you still can't download mode to work, have a friend come over and look up how to get in download mode, then have them try it. I've done that many times... Thought I was doing everything right and a second pair of fresh eyes found some tiny thing I overlooked in the process.
I hope you get your phone working man, sorry I can't be of more specific help.
Sent from CAMACHO, my Verizon G2 (VS980) running PAC ROM.
Dear reader,
After rooting my phone for a while and downloading all these apps I came upon ChainFire 3D. I downloaded it without checking and installed it without a big thought about the warnings it showed. Now when my phone reboots, the Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-i9500 logo appears but then the screen turns empty blank. So I went into recovery and wiped data. When I reboot, same thing happens. So I searched and panicked but didn't find good results. I thought if I use Odin it may work, so I flashed the stock recovery and root and then CWM. Tried again...still fails! So I downloaded the adb thing from Android, opened in cmd, everything fine but when i followed these instructions(from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2362873) it did not work when I wrote 'su'. So I skipped to the next one, comments saying mount /system which already happened but it did not work. Now I don't know what to do and I feel sad and disappointing.
If anyone has a backup file which I can use to start and then reset or a solution to my problem please help!
Thanks to everyone!
Phone: GT-i9500
Recovery:CWM
Rooted:Yes
P.S I can tell more details about my device but you may need to reply.
Why do you post in noob thread, then about 5 minutes later open up this thread.
If you waited about 7 minutes you would have got an answer.
Obviously you spent as much time reading the rules as you did with chainfire 3d install instructions.
Edit: Solved... probably
Trying to flash Eclipse ROM following this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=54674079&highlight=guide#post54674079
I got stuck on a black screen. I was told to ODIN the nc2kernel but didn't know what that meant.
I was able to figure out how to use ODIN and get it to recognize the device by plugging it in to the computer and taking out the battery.
This video helped me figure out ODIN: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7qjZDouPMo
I put Beans' nc2kernel in the AP slot of ODIN v3.09 and hit start.
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358549122
The phone rebooted to the Eclipse splash/loading screen but got stuck for a long time (30 + minutes)
I took the battery out, went back in to SafeStrap and did a factory wipe which preserved the internal SD data I think?, then re-installed the Eclipse ROM .zip from the downloads folder and let it reboot.
Suddenly, it worked!!! I'm still not entirely sure what just happened but my phone seems to be working again and I'm really happy about that. Hopefully anyone else new to this and totally lost like I was might see this and be helped.

Thanks. I appreciate that and am glad to know there's a place to get help if I get stuck!
When I thought I bricked my phone I was super freaked out and wished I'd never started down this path but now that it's working... oh man, totally worth it. This ROM is everything I wanted it to be.
Everything about the Samsung skin was so ugly I almost didn't like using the phone at all. First I tried installing different launchers thinking that would be good enough but when I found out you couldn't circumvent their dialer when calling (the ugliest part in my opinion) I decided to give rooting a try. Maybe that's a stupid reason but I just really hated that dialer!
I just don't understand where Samsung is going with their interface design. Plus all the extra bloat they saddle the phone down with. Unless they take their future phones out of lockdown I don't think I'll be getting another non Nexus phone from them in the future.
Anyway, the amount of information on this forum is incredible and I'm really grateful for all the work everyone puts in to developing all these tools and methods. It's got to be a ton of hard work and then they just share them with everyone... amazing. I can't wait to read about all the other cool things people here are doing

Hey guys,
Sorry to be one of those d**ks who registers and first post is asking for help >_<
Take a seat and join me on this epic quest of failure, which has been my life for the last 12 hours.
Had this phone since release, over the years it has got more and more bogged-down with crap, even from the word go it had tonnes of bloatware installed, but I always avoided the temptation to root, just because I didn't want the hassle if something went wrong... lol.
Yesterday decided to finally take the plunge and root it, whatstheworstthatcouldhappen.jpeg
Here's how it went down....
1. Kingoroot via PC (first tried the apk but it wouldn't work).
2. Hated all the additional stuff that had been added to the phone (new wakeup screen with ads etc)
3. Used a guide to remove and replace kingoroot (kinguser, kingroot, kingmaster) with superuser. zidroid dot com/how-to-get-ride-and-replace-kinguser-with-supersu-app/ <<Here's the guide
4. Stuck on "Installing, please wait" (just after step 8 in the guide)... as the guide explains, if this happens then reboot. So I did...
5. Phone now won't get past the samsung logo (I die a little inside).
6. Google crap for a few hours (Boot into recovery mode etc) I clear cache, remove data.
7. Try loading a stock rom I downloaded and opening it from the sd card... no joy
8. Try Kies... no joy
9. Try Odin... no joy
10. During all of this frantic messing around I loose the option of booting into recovery mode, now I can only get to download mode.
11. Basically spent about 6 hours last night and a few hours this morning trying to get this fixed from all info I could find online... STILL NO JOY.
So now I'm biting the bullet and having to own up to the public, that's you guys.
Anyone here got a clue as to what may have gone wrong/what I can do to resolve this?
Not even fussed about keeping the phone stock, just need it running something!
As I'm sure you can tell I'm new to messing around with android, but I'm not entirely tech-naive so hopefully with some help I might be able to get this back to more than just a paperweight?
Cheers!

Your mistake was using Kingroot.
Use CF-Auto-Root next time.
And what does "Try Odin... No joy" mean?
Did it fail or did it successfully flash and still didn't boot?
The procedure to flash with Odin is something like:
Download a stock ROM (should have the .tar extension)
Get a good USB cable (preferably the original one) and connect it to a back USB port (any other ports can cause problems) and to the phone.
If flashing fails, try a gain.
You could have avoided this had you just downloaded the correct cf-auto root file and flashed it via Odin..
