The ROM section is very disorganized and I am having trouble finding the latest and greatest for US996. What's the best out there today? I heard something about 10p coming out but I have no clue who has the best distro or if it has even materialized. WETA seems dead. It's what I'm running today, but an older build.

So basically, I've been going back and forth between different custom ROMs the last months but I've never found something that's really stable.
Either there's random reboots, lag or apps force closing.
So what I'm wondering is; does anyone have experience with a custom ROM that's rock solid stable? It has to be Lollipop, but I'd give up 5.1 for a really stable 5.0 ROM.
Oh, and please don't suggest LG stock ROM, I can't stand that.
I really appreciate some answers! Make sure to write what ROM you're using and the release number (or date if it's a nightly).
Thanks!

Anything CAF as it's using the same device source. Aside from that pick your flavor.
Also no 5.0 roms are stable for this device, unless you mean stock. But you mentioned you didn't want stock, so...
Have you tried Euphoria-OS? It's pretty darned stable, and it's 5.1 as well. You can get the official version by tsunamical that uses a CAF kernel (Qualcomm+CM), or the unofficial version from dr87 that uses the stock LG G2 LP kernel.
I've been running the official 6/10 build for a few weeks now and it's been really stable. A couple of random reboots but nothing to worry about. I would be running the newer build, but I dirty-flashed it and it went a little wonky so I restored the nandroid, and then tsunamical said he was going to post another one in a few days, so I decided to wait for that before doing another clean flash.

I have a stock G2 (VS980) that has been rooted and TWRP installed, nothing more. I want to upgrade to the newer features of Android and have been waiting for a stable version of Lolipop but seems like it will never happen (Last I checked even LG was recommending not upgrading to LP due to battery issues). I am looking for stability most of all, and would also like tethering ability, and it seems like every Rom (official or otherwise) released has some little bug that is not resolved (Even CM13). Since the L2 is getting old, and we are not sure LG will put any more work into offical updates, just wondering if there is a consensus on the best update from the stock KitKat for the Verizon G2.
Thanks for any guidance you can provide.
Michael
try Cloudy 3.3 , it's bug-free, fast and stable and battery life is good

Thanks - I am a little concerned though that it is try at your own risk with no support for CDMA which is what I have.
So im new to this forum but not to rooting and flashing. Basiclly though im thinking of rooting but not sure there are any stable roms worth flashing and any issues i should look out for. Someone please help me get back into rooting n flashing on op5. Thanks in advance.
Codename Phoenix and Candy ROM are the two most stable and smooth Oreo ROMs that I have used on the OP5. Most custom Oreo ROMs for this phone have bugs, are missing features or don't run all that smoothly. The majority of the Nougat ROMs and kernels for OP5 aren't going to be updated to Oreo because most developers have abandoned the phone since it was only sold for 4 months and unified ROM development for the OP5/5T appears to be impossible. Unless you are one of those people that buys a new phone every year the OP5 is going to end up being a terrible purchase. The Codename Phoenix dev is talking about getting a new phone (definitely not from One Plus) and abandoning his ROM for this device. The dev of Flash Kernel switched to a Pixel 2XL and might also abandon development for this phone. If you use a non-OOS ROM Flash and Blu Spark are the only two custom kernels left that you can flash.

There's xXx romb No Limits. It's VERY stable. Based on oxygen os. I'm running this for a very long time and had zero issues.
This is a real Guide from neodapsi or just a setup?
I guess I can't find a good ROM there...
Anyway, what is your recommendation to get the YD206 to a newer (only if better and fully functional) ROM aside from the 4.4.3 it came with.
OTA doesn't seem to discover updates - or would you guys recommend to stay where I am?
I believe there is an Official Marshmallow rom floating about.
It works great, not much support otherwise if you want the 2nd screen...
there is a KK version (what you have), lollipop version, and marshmallow version. what you have is by far the most stable, the marshmallow version has the most features, and the lollipop version is a good in between. im using the marshmallow version right now
I have upgraded to OnePlus 6 for a while now and have finally retired my OPO. My OPO is one of the early builds as it still has cyanogen logo on back. I bought this in Jan/Feb 2015 and have been using it since then. I haven't had any issues with phone, haven't replaced anything (although I am planning to replace the battery before handing it over to my parents), the phone is unrooted and running the last OTA update that was provided.
Based on the info above, do u guys have any good ROMs to suggest for my parents. They aren't too tech savy so probably some ROM that provides OTA updates and doesn't crash would be the best. Also, higher the android version, the better it is(if working stable).
I am comfortable enough unlocking bootloader, installing custom recovery, rooting, etc but I just want to give something to my parent's thats stable, better than stock, and keeps the phone from getting outdated.
Thanks for your answers!
