hello everyone,
a few months ago i had a thread with a screen problem with my gt540.
well i didnt use my phone for a few months and now i booted it again and the problem is still there, tried alot of roms, tried froyo optimum, tried a few 2.3 roms which say they have good calibration, at the moment i'm on 2.3.7 mikegapinski rom.
i rlly want my touchscreen to work again, it doesnt respond at all, only on the most outer right corner, and even that is only on a few occasions most of the time it doesnt. once again the screen calibration function of froyo optimum didn't work so dont suggest that.
thanks in advance,
lars1216.

so your touch isn't working in any way ? only in one corner ? or just totally misplaced / decalibrated ?
in one tiny corner it works like it should, besides that corner the touch screen doesnt respond at all. so yea beside that corner the touch doesnt work at all. it could also be totally decalibrated i have no idea but this is what i experience at the moment. it would be great if u could give me the possible fixes for both problems.
try a 2.1 ROM it should work in every case. otherwise you should send it to LG if you have guarantee

on the stock 2.1 rom (europe open) it was unresponsive to :'( a bit better tho but still cant do anything, well guess its back to lg service center than with my phone, just got it back
well i'm aware of the fact i'll have to send it back to lg now, but how do i remove clockwork recovery and fastboot from my phone now? because i dont think they'll fix it within warranty if they find out it has recovery and fastboot on it.

they wont check for fastboot
for recovery :
fastboot erase recovery
or via mur4ik's bootloader tools
tried the bootloader tools that didn't work, tried the fastboot command, that worked but now the recovery button combination puts the phone in fastboot to, is that a problem or wont they check?
thanks in advance

Your problem sounds alot like one I had a few months back. The upper right part of my screen would only work.I too tryed calibration and different roms and nothing fixed it. My problem was a faulty digitizer I replaced it and BAM worked. Just a thought as it would be quicker than shipping your phone and a digitizer is cheap. Also there's videos on YouTube to guide u threw it
Sent from my GT540 ICS Beta 4 - XDA App
I think I need a new digitizer too
Any good trustworthy places you know? Also, I'm in France right now, so if you know someplace here in Paris where I can go and buy one that would be much appreciated
Well it's been almost a month now my Note 3 is in coma, and I gave up and ordered a Note 4 but I have not totally given up, not yet.
It started with this problem I mentioned earlier, http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/help/phone-wont-boot-please-help-t3295416
And even now its still same, worse actually, cause most times the display won't even turn on now! Anyway, the phone does go into download mode, I mean I can feel it, but can't see it, Odin flashed the latest TWRP successfully too, but then again I can't enter Recovery, or rather I can't see it, but I can feel that recovery is being accessed cause when I touch on the display I feel the vibration here and there.
Anyway, I just want to do one more thing before I totally give up, try to connect the phone via ADB and flash the Norma ROM, the ROM which started all these problems. Now I have forgotten everything about it, how to run it, what files to download and all that, so could someone please redirect me to that? Last time no one replied, but please do this time. Its common sense to realise how much pain a dead phone causes.
Thanks in advance.
Have you tried to install official firmware via Kies or flash with Odin ? If odin detects phone, you should try.
Kies can't detect phone unless its on right? Well mine isn't on. It just goes into download mode and recovery that's all. Of course I flashed stock ROM via Odin several times, even with additional options like NAND erase all, Phone EFS clear etc. checked, but no benefit.
Is the phone recovery is working ?
Odin is best option to flash it.
Flash custom recovery first. You don't need Pc to install firmware after that just copy Firmware in sd card put it in your phone go to recovery Install the Firmware
Like I said, Recovery might be working fine, cause I can feel the vibrations on the screen when I touch it, but the display just won't come up!
Have you tried flashing on odin with a pit file for your model?

Yep, that's done, did it only few hours ago. On the positive side, the ROM was flashed without any error at all and the phone rebooted successfully after the ROM flash, which was until now a rarity, a successful reboot without any loop I mean, the Samsung boot sound was there too, and even the capacitive hardware buttons were lighted up, I can also hear the water droplet sound when I touch the screen, but the screen is dark, there is nothing on it! From this point, anyone will say the display is dead, but if previous experience accounts for something then the display will come back, maybe after few hours or few days, but it did come back before from what it looked like a completely dead display.
I remain clueless!

Have you tried different software version ?
Try install different software version it may be bad rom ?
Hello everyone, that's it. I have a Redmi 2 enhanced version (2014811) . It can be turned on now but it keeps restarting as soon as it enters the first page. Now it can enter the fastboot mode. How can I save it? (The phone should not be rooted before)
Postscript: If possible, can I take this opportunity to use a third party ROM to upgrade to a higher version of Android? (e.g. Android 10 or higher)
Thank you for your comments, thank you very much ! ! !

If you know how to use fastboot, try installing TWRP. (Execute command fastboot flash recovery twrp.xxx.img where twrp.xxx.img is the filename of twrp placed into the fastboot folder on your computer. If you don't understand ask me further.)

First of all, thank you very much for your advices, bro! Do I need to unlock/root first before installing TWRP? Because I have not been rooted it before, can I just flash in TWRP directly under the fastboot environment without rooting? Sorry, I still don't know how to do it, maybe some concepts have not been figured out yet. .....
If the phone is stock and not rooted a factory reset should restore it.
You will lose all data.
It may be possible to start it and get it to run stabily in Safe mode, if so it's a 3rd party startup app causing it. Find it...

I'm afraid that during the entire flashing process, some things have been done wrong and cannot be remedied in the future. Are there any basic tutorials on flashing that I can learn?
Sorry, sent the wrong post. Try factory resetting in miui recovery mode. If it still not boots, your phone is permanently fried on the motherboard level.

I apologize that no, you will need to get into system and sign into your mi account in order to unlock the bootloader and allow you to flash anything, which you cannot do as for now.

Whatever button sequence is used for that device.
Timing is everything, keep trying until you get it.
It's harder to do when you really need to
Take a break and make sure you got the right sequence/timing.
If it's booting up to the Home page it's salvageable I think... better than a boot loop.
However, before the loop occurs, Mokee 7.1.2 was installed and used it normally for a period of time, does that matter?

Stock Androids are easy, that's one reason I run stock. The only thing that really kills them is an outright hardware failure.

redmi 2 runs on stock rom android 4.2 right? you can not install any single app on that.
when the op fixed it it is advised to install a custom rom.
My mother's Rn7 suddenly bootloops, either may it be recovery, or bootloader. But sometimes it will go on in stock MIUI then she can use it. So I unlock bootloader and install a custom rom. A12 ArrowOS, but still it happens randomly and my mother have to wait for it go to System. A different number of cycle of redmi bootlogo(the one with padlock icon) then reboot. Is this a hardware problem? it is on 12.5 Global MI before

It could be a hardware issue, but you have to be sure that you flashed the new ROM following correctly all the instructions, and to switch from Miui to a such different ROM it requires a total clean flash, that means that you should format data.
Also, you could try with other ROM, Probably Lineage OS or Pixel Experience, and see if the issue persist.
after flashing my redmi note 7 the phone resets, I can enter fastboot mode and only that, bootloader locked, on the phone my account for which I do not know the password.
Do you have any ideas because I have tried everything and it seems to me that without a service box I can not do anything with it. I think I have uploaded the wrong rom
I am so sorry that he is writing in the wrong thread

You recommend the mailbox because, to be honest, I am tired of this phone call, but I am to blame myself because this is how the fun ends where I wanted to quickly and instead of calmly reading everything I did without preparation and now I am getting tired.

Flash the latest firmware from here https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/lavender/ check well your region, anyway some custom ROMs are based on the Miui Chinese, you should choose from.
Then wipe caches and format data, reboot and see if the issue persist.
If it does, then it is for sure a faulty hardware, something like a short circuit in the charger connection or something pressing the PWR button internally.
I tried to install ricedroid.
Flashed boot and vendor image
Then sideloaded rom
Then did a factory reset in lineage recovery which is used to sideload.
Now I am stuck on this screen of
Press any key to shutdown
Don't know how to get out if it.
If I push the volume keys it'll shutdown.
If I push the power button it'll reboot.
If it's plugged in volume keys reboot it.
It's extremely frustrating
Don't know what to do
Any help is appreciated.

back in the oneplus days we had the msm tool to fix issues like this.
knowing that the nothingOS is extremely similar to OxygenOS and even the fastboot menu is exactly the same we'd expect msm tool to work?
the thing is where to get the images to load into MSM to use for nothing phone.

Even on latest OnePlus there no MSM Tools / EDL for free. You must paid (like Xiaomi devices) for repair.
In your case, with Nothing like other brand you must use warranty for repair the device.
Some people have this issue also after a simple update.
In my case i have switch between Stock > all custom roms > Stock with a downgrade > Custom > Stock...
Never have a problem.
