4GB handles everything flawlessly.. But was a OP3 user and makes me think about 6GB RAM with 3GB + free RAM. with Xperia i get 1GB free RAM.

Everything from switching between apps, smoothness, overall multitasking performance, to transitions are excellent.
I haven't found any problems.
Seems like the Xperia Smart-Cleaner is killing quite some apps in the Background.
Maybe that needs some time for the intelligent learning to work better....
Slightly too aggressive
The few days I used the XZ2 on stock software. It appears to kick things out of RAM more often than I am used. On P beta, it appears more aggressive still, but not insane.

3-4 Gb of ram is plenty for an everyday user, and this device seems to manage it fairly well

No issues switching between apps. Stacking two apps to utilize the tall screen works great but slows the apps a little.
