nice, i couldn't wait and used odin and American 6.0.1. Out of interest, before you updated, were you on 5.0.2?
Just downloading it now ?

Hey, I just have a quick question about the firmwares for this phone. I'm in the us and mainly I just want quick updates and android pay. What's the best region/firmware I should get, in your opinions?

Samsung has at long last started rolling out the much-anticipated Android 7.0 update for the Galaxy J7 (2016) in Russia. The upgrade transports all of the features you’d expect to find baked into Nougat, as well as the security patches included in this month’s maintenance release.
Video link proof :*https://youtu.be/uD6-kkkoxME
Those release dates was for Russia.

No man its not a j7 2016. Metro got it then. The j7 2016 is not the j700t/t1 I got mine in 2017 and it's still a j7 2015 the phone that is being referenced is a j710fn. Different phone that just upgraded to nougat. It is a little confusing at first bro
So that means the metro version will not be getting nougat?

The word is in general the j700t will get a nougat update, but we will have to see. I would follow the j700t thread for relevant news to our specific phone. I was all confused when I first got it too.back then it was all one thread for the most part..maybe 2, but all in all there are 3 j7 threads, all different devices but all under the header of j7.so be careful to read correct info.any questions just ask me, happy to help
When the update comes on Galaxy j7 2016 (J710FN)?

You are 100% correct. I had the same issue when I bought my J7 in 2017. Turns out it is a J7 2015 (J700T) Be carefull when you flash stuff, you need the files for the 2015 version.
On another note ... Has anyone found a custom ROM that will flash on our J700T I am curently Rooted and use TWRP.
Thanks

Last I checked there was a January/February update.
I think they upgraded the security patch to January 2018.

You can install it on non-rooted snapdragon; just use flash with sd card or adb tools.
