Clearing notifications - Android Head-Units

Hi folks,
How do you clear the notifications on the android stereo,
currently running android 5.1.1, is there a quick way, or is the only way to force close the application giving the notification.
There pop up next to the home button on the screen, (top left) and I cannot access them or clear them.
Cheers,
Paul.

Android supports dragging down of the notification bar. Then you can swipe left or right to remove the notifications.
That is standard android functionality. Doesn't your unit support that?

The notification bar is still on top of this screen. Can you try another second drag-down.

I have tried, but it does nothing.

Try dragging down from the left side of the screen.

Found it. You drag down and then press right hand top corner to switch screens to show notifications. Thanks for the help though guys.

How to Change "Your Name's Kindle" in the Notification Bar

I haven't seen this posted but if you want to change the text that displays your name's Kindle that appears in the top left of your screens here's how to do it.
Log into the Amazon website and go to Your Account in the top right. Scroll down to Digital Content and select Manage Your Kindle then click on Manage Your Devices. Now press edit and change the text to whatever you want, you can remove your name as well. Once you're done press "update" and close your browser. Now go to your Kindle and pull down the notification bar to access your quick controls and press Sync, the text in the top left will be changed.

Good stuff! I wondered how to do this..worked for me! Thanks!
Just did this per your instructions (and did a re-register, which did keep the installed apps in place). Thank you!!
For the last part (the deregister), you don't have to deregister. You can always jusy hit the sync button in the mini settings menu that comes down from the notification bar.

Text notification on lockscreen

Is there any way of turning it off completely? I don't want a crappy looking banner.

Look for 'Preview Message' under the Notification Settings in the Messaging Settings menu.

No, that just allows it to display the first few words of the message if it's enabled. Even with that disabled the big banner still appears on the lockscreen stating I've got a new message. I want to stop it appearing at all.

Once in the Message app: SETTINGS -> Notification settings -> Notifications (uncheck)
This is just a guess though... I haven't received a text message yet to verify, haha. But it's worth a shot.
That'll stop you getting ANY notification at all though, no message tone, no unread count, etc. I still want that to work, I just want to stop it coming up on the lockscreen too!
This screenshot shows what I'm wanting to disable. I just want to stop this ugly banner appearing in place of my regular widget on the lockscreen when I get a text.

[APP] App Swap, your favorites apps one swipe away

Your favorites apps one swipe away, from anywhere !
App Swap is a drawer which allow you to easily launch your applications. It works with your existing launcher (Google Now, Nova, Yahoo Aviate, Everything Me,...).
There are two ways to launch it, from your home screen or with a swipe up from your navigation bar. And swipe up gesture can be done from any app.
This app is optimal when the device have a on screen navigation bar, like the Nexus family.

If the activity from where you launch app swap auto rotate then it will rotate. Ex from Google Maps it will rotate, from the home screen it won't rotate.
However the landscape layout is still under progress, the display/layout is not correct for the moment.
looks great... installed it and whenever i swipe up, nothing appears, i have to actually click the icon for it to appear... fix?

Actually I have a bug with the App Swap first launch, it is taking few seconds (initializing app list, analyzing icons...). The next launches should be fine ... do you confirm ?
I plan to fix the first launch experience.

It's the vibrate icon. Whatever skin or theme you are using changed it from the vibrating phone icon.

I think I found the solution for it. Go to developer option/Quick Setting Developer Tiles and there you'll see that icon along with other. Turn on the icon and it'll be in your button screen along with wifi and etc. Turn it off there. Provlem solve
